Sorry, but I have to disagree. no dog is poorly bred or "way below the breed standard" These are DOGS. they are all perfect, none of them are better in any way from their breeding! A dog is a dog because it loves and plays and does it's own thing. not because of its breed. I'm sorry, but from that comment, I'm worried your'e quite shallow.

:-) when spanky was supposed to start walking he didn't - we thought he would be handicapped but he was still PERFECT. now he runs and romps! he was a precious gift from God then and now we can enjoy watching him enjoy his happy dog life! dogs ROCK and dog lovers ROCK!

Oh, no I saw that comment that it was a misstake, hence I wrote that I dont say nothing about accidents they DO happen. My mixed breed bitch has silent heats which I had no clue about. So she ended up pregnant two, and she was not even two. So I know that accidents can happen. I just hate when people do it for money and don't care enough about the dogs. Jrobo here has taken good care of her dog, she kept him, she has put down all the time and money on him and he is amazing! but the "wrong"

Actually there isnt pies, I live in the USA too and are dealing with show and competition. They are below standard, breeders with maybe not so fully good intentions tries to breeed as small dogs as possible BUT if you took any of the so called teacups to a dogshow they would be disqualified cause their size due to the breed standard. Anyhow people shouldnt be breeding on purpouse for any other reason than to perserve the breeds right now. Any other breeding will just help to continue feeling the

corr, filling the shelters. Which is very sad, I worked on North shore animal league and the ammount of pups that comes in cause people are trying to make a quick buck is horrible. Misstakes do happen and that I don't say anything about, but when people to do it to earn money and don't care about checking the genetics on their dogs, inherritary deseases, hips etc its just dispicable. US has about 49 million dogs and cats being put to sleep every year cause of them.However spanky IS adorable!

yeah i totally agree. we never planned bean's pregnancy (and got her fixed after) and during those first few weeks when spanky was near death i thought alot about how people would intentionally breed small dogs smaller just to make a dollar (thought it was kind of cruel). spanky wasn't healthy at all in the beginning and it was no fun for him or me. He just layed there.. but thank GOD he's ok now!!! to see him act like a real dog is AMAZING!!!

Putting those key words in was to attract lovers of tiny dogs. This birth was an 'accident' not a result of breeding. Spanky however, has a genetic 'defect' - a recessive gene. I wouldn't call him a runt - he's a dwarf. He nearly died several times the first two months of his life but now he's a bundle of joy- hope it stays that way, and we love him so much we wanted to share him with the world! oh, and both he and his mom wont be having anymore. Spanky's only job in life is to be cute.
