this is awesome if you want do do medieval roleplay. the only thing i didnt get (sorry im kinda noob) was when the trebuchet's arm is released, the object to be thrown (i think it was a car) brings a rope on it, so the rope must be attached to something. if so, how is the car released when the trebuchet's arm is almost vertical?

What did you use for a counterweight? I've also been building a trebuchet. It looks like you used the same type of beam that I used for the arm. I welded three of them together. But the arm seems to be too heavy, I can't find anything heavy enough to swing it. What did you use?

Attach a magnet to the end of the rope. Put the car to the magnet then turn off the magnet at the right point in the arc. That'll make it so you don't have to undo it.

There is an stool called "Weight tool". I used that to increase the counterweight props weight. The maximum weight the source engine can have is 50000 per prop. Which I how much the counterweight weighs.
