just a tip for your future videos with this effect try to have jerkier camera movement if you are trying to imitate the affect. If you look at the original video it has that very out of control dance feel to it. very good job though.

Kinda close...I used Trapcode Particular with a custom particle (just a few random lines and dots) with the wiggle expression applied. The particle life was a few seconds and I think I applied a glow

Are you an idiot? Increasing the particle life will stop the other end from fading away while its still going. Don't try to get defensive backing up something you obviously have no idea about. It was not criticism, it was simply a tip.

if u high light all ur keyframes for the camera, then press f9(thats on cs3, dunno wat it is on 6.5) it makes the keyframes ez ease wich makes the cam movments much more smoother, but pretty nice overall, check my channel for all my AE work

Just an opinion, but the pattern you created at 00:10 is a bit too bright. The intensity needs toning down a bit. Besides that, it's great. I watch Andrew Kramer's tutorials as well :D

trapcode particular is the plug-in that was used for this, it's a third party plugin that does not come with after effects. you can download a demo of it at trapcode dot com. after that you just need to buy the actual version....or find another way to run the full version, which requires a serial number...and yeah andrew kramer's tutorial is the best
