From what I read on these videos many people went expecting this to top the others. I just went to be entertained. I never saw any of the previous 3 until one came on TV. Harrison didn't have an ounce of fat on him, very fit. Shia is very handsome, great smile. There is so much action in this film and I loved the water falls scene, the prairie dogs, primates and the John Williams theme is great. Time well spent for me.

I could have done without the CGI but the movie was fun. The film was actually playing off the huge alien obsession of the 50's. War of the Worlds,the alien crash in roswell, and all the UFO sightings. The film was atually very well researched as far as the Mayan history and their belief system. Indiana Jones is still the man.
O.k first of all, this film has made over 400 million dollars and is still making money, obviously it did something right after all. Second, what gives random pedestrians the right to critisze a film that is made by two of the finest directors in the business. Third, when I saw it, it got a standing ovation and everyone clapped, it was on a Friday, the day after it came out.
If you say this was good then you are the exact type of modern day moron Lucas was pandering to when he made this ridiculous film. I mean, come on! The first 10 seconds included a CGI winking gopher!! Need I say more!? I do? OK, how about the concept of surviving a nuclear blast in a refrigerator? The "Tarzan" scene? The constant use of CGI made me feel more like I was watching "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" than an Indy film. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas - please fold up your director's chairs.

This movie's stunts were not at all believable and way over the top. Not that the other movies nec were. The first one is a classic and stunts were not overly done. The chase scene in the forest was embarassing it was so hookie.

No offense to anyone but the only reason this movie failed to come up to anyones standards is because every fan overhyped this movie. now i'm not saying that this movies was great or was as good as the originals because it wasn't. but i liked it and would say go see it. its enjoyable....not high tech like iron man and not so much great action like prince caspian but its a fun and enjoyable movie to watch just like the other ones have been.

I Loved the movie!!! Let me start off saying that I'm a huge Indy fan! I had high expectations for the film. It fit the need perfectly.
I don't know why people are critizing it because it had aliens in it. This was suppose to be the 1950's. This discovery fit the times perfectly.
This film isn't my all time favorite Indy film nor do I really consider it part of the saga. It's a totally new, fresh approach to the saga and I loved it. Shia la Bauf as the next Indy!!!

It's not amazing it's just fun a bit of nostalgia you might say i felt it was worth my money I knew going in it wouldn't be as good as Raider of the Last Crusade but it was thorughly enjoyable. I think negative reviews are just people buying too much into the hype. They are expecting too much out of it though I think Lucas's CGI obsession hurt this movie a bit.
Put it this way. Seen it. Loved it. I have my fedora next to me right now about to OFF ROADING in my JEEP while playing the theme song to Indiana Jones!!! lol
I LOVED the cheesy 50s refrences, thats (+the action) what made the movie enjoyable. Without spoiling to much, I think the reason people didnt like this flick was because the plot was the one thing in the movie that wasnt cliche. It raised the bar and people were uncomfortable with where it went.
Reason why I liked this movie: It delivered what I expected. Yes... For once, I was happy that I saw a predictable film. If you have seen the previous Indiana Jones movies, and you want to see something pretty much similar (granted, campier) then you'll enjoy this.
SPOILER: Spielberg's obsession with aliens is getting annoying though. like... seriously annoying. lol

I could have done without the CGI but the movie was fun. The film was actually playing off the huge alien obsession of the 50's. War of the Worlds,the alien crash in roswell, and all the UFO sightings. The film was atually very well researched as far as the Mayan history and their belief system. Indiana Jones is still the man.

O.k first of all, this film has made over 400 million dollars and is still making money, obviously it did something right after all. Second, what gives random pedestrians the right to critisze a film that is made by two of the finest directors in the business. Third, when I saw it, it got a standing ovation and everyone clapped, it was on a Friday, the day after it came out.

If you say this was good then you are the exact type of modern day moron Lucas was pandering to when he made this ridiculous film. I mean, come on! The first 10 seconds included a CGI winking gopher!! Need I say more!? I do? OK, how about the concept of surviving a nuclear blast in a refrigerator? The "Tarzan" scene? The constant use of CGI made me feel more like I was watching "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" than an Indy film. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas - please fold up your director's chairs.

"Old fashioned" Spielberg would have used real desert for the desert (see also: Close Encounters of the Third Kind). Sick of this green screen crap. Two thumbs way down.

Let's face it, we aren't all going to agree wether it was good or bad. I think people need to just calm down and go to the movie and judge for yourself. I personally enjoyed it. Not the best but not the worst. It's not gonna live up to Raiders or Last Crusade, but really what would? Think of it like this, the originals were like based off 30's serials and such. This one more of the campy 50's movie/comic.

This movie's stunts were not at all believable and way over the top. Not that the other movies nec were. The first one is a classic and stunts were not overly done. The chase scene in the forest was embarassing it was so hookie.

No offense to anyone but the only reason this movie failed to come up to anyones standards is because every fan overhyped this movie. now i'm not saying that this movies was great or was as good as the originals because it wasn't. but i liked it and would say go see it. its enjoyable....not high tech like iron man and not so much great action like prince caspian but its a fun and enjoyable movie to watch just like the other ones have been.

If I had'nt seen IRON MAN this would have been great. but it paled to even compare to the leval of story tellingmixed with fun I think john favroe should have made this he seems to understand the way this could have been handled
I did enjoy it but it seemed rushed.
a little back story would help the ending was good(not the spaceship part!)it brought him full circle.

ok the thing rong with the 4th movie was the sound, it was to intens and some of the exploshuns where badly timed and to big for the show. not enof smoke and grim, when he got out of the car at the behing he was sweting like a dog bur his shert was klin, Indy would not go quiitly. also the ferst punch/slap was to lowd. over all Indy was grat and the old cast but the rest seemed like someone from Ostin Powers. if enything this was not the Indy we know and love but rather another-dimention Indy.

I loved the movie it captured the old indie movies. I think people were disappointed b/c the were expecting a movie that was going to to be this masterpiece like shawshank redemption and not a classic Indiana jones film. Its indiana jones its supposed to have a cheese feel to it.

I Loved the movie!!! Let me start off saying that I'm a huge Indy fan! I had high expectations for the film. It fit the need perfectly.
I don't know why people are critizing it because it had aliens in it. This was suppose to be the 1950's. This discovery fit the times perfectly.
This film isn't my all time favorite Indy film nor do I really consider it part of the saga. It's a totally new, fresh approach to the saga and I loved it. Shia la Bauf as the next Indy!!!

It's not amazing it's just fun a bit of nostalgia you might say i felt it was worth my money I knew going in it wouldn't be as good as Raider of the Last Crusade but it was thorughly enjoyable. I think negative reviews are just people buying too much into the hype. They are expecting too much out of it though I think Lucas's CGI obsession hurt this movie a bit.

I LOVED the cheesy 50s refrences, thats (+the action) what made the movie enjoyable. Without spoiling to much, I think the reason people didnt like this flick was because the plot was the one thing in the movie that wasnt cliche. It raised the bar and people were uncomfortable with where it went.

Reason why I liked this movie: It delivered what I expected. Yes... For once, I was happy that I saw a predictable film. If you have seen the previous Indiana Jones movies, and you want to see something pretty much similar (granted, campier) then you'll enjoy this.
SPOILER: Spielberg's obsession with aliens is getting annoying though. like... seriously annoying. lol
