interesting insight. I've long suspected that Tim Gaines had the toughest time with Mike being the leader of the band. SO glad they reconciled, over and over again ;-)
Thanks for your reply. I think they could rework a song like Writings On The Wall or Keep The Fire Burning to play live, but its obvious that this is their least favorite album that they ever put out since they never play anything from it.
@vmerca21 IGWT is still my favourite album so I've always been confused by their reaction to it. I think the drum sound and guitar sound on that album is phenomenal and if they'd had a couple more heavy tracks there it would have been perfect. Every song is damn catchy and I still play it a lot to this day. Stryper, please play some stuff off IGWT :)
@churbay1 It seems like they want to distance themselves from those difficult years more than anything and the music has been lumped in along with it. Hopefully they'll reconcile that at some point and bring out some of the olf IGWT tracks. Keep the Fire Burning, IGWT, I Believe In You, Lonely, The Writings on the Wall, The Reign are all great tracks
@vmerca21 I'll only base it on what I have seen Oz and Michael say in interviews, and that is IGWT was overproduced, too slick sounding and not really the music they wanted to make. Oz even called the IGWT toour the "samples from hell" tour. Background vocals and other sounds were taped and recorded for live shows. Nothing against the guys, but they can't pull off the harmonies and live sound to replicate the studio sounds.
Is it just me or did Michael Sweet seem bothered by this woman? Like maybe he was irritated that she dressed in a rather, ehh, revealing way? Moreover, how about that bombshell about Michael and Robert. I wonder what the subtext of that was about??? Is Robert not living his life in the way he ought to be? Hmmmm
Love these guys. Let's see... Michael seems to be such a grounded, level headed, family man who is sold out to Christ and knows what he wants out of life. If he and Robert are total opposites like he mentioned... what kind of guy is Robert?
