countries. Globally its not the first place to go on holiday, and many people rather go to las vegas by reading a magazine that promoted both places as las vegas is a known and famous place to go for pleasure and relaxation.
Dubai is one eden in a fuuked up dessert world. I just wish that dubai holidays are more promoted and advertised then they are now. People would actually travel there, and dubai as a stable self dependant country could help the whole mid eastern society.
Dubai is a great great great city. Im just worried for its future. Im sure tourism earns national treasury, but you cant run your country just on tourism, no matter how convinient you build it.
They must have some backup options for earning cash in other ways apart tourism. Already dubai has over 50billion dollar debt and rising. And mass tourism isnt taking place their, not in the proportion the country hoped for.
Its still in the mother fucking dessert surrounded by corrupt and third world
Not everything that has elevated tracks is a monorail. The Dubai metro runs on a standard gauge rail tracks, not monorail, and rolling stock is regular trains made by Kinki Sharyo (Japan).
i spoke to one of the heads of broadcasting in dubai who informed me about the maglev development. he said he had lived there some six or seven years and had tried to keep abreast of developments there. if you know something that others dont know then thanks for the information. jack
maglev trains have been around for a while... after the train reaches 60 mph the wheels retract and is pushed by magnets, only found on high speed trains, so i find it odd that there would be a maglev train in a urban environment as here in dubai. it doesnt seem correct.
city looks sharp, nice....
