  • Fantastic audiovisuals. Too bad about the lack of screens.

  • Hi Reinhard! You make these classic C64 games look easy! Great job!

  • @4:57 Commodore 64 rock done right :)

  • we played this through in 80s with cassette player.we didnt think it was a hard game,it just needed to be played a lot to get through.games were hard those days and so were the players!without any saves!uhhh..were is my time machine...

  • Wow. One of the most far-out and original games I've seen!

  • Fuck me, that giant bee is seriously nightmare fuel. Got goosebumps the first time I saw it.

The jack-in-the-box guy's kinda cute though.

  • God, this game was my real nightmare. I spent nights with my friends and alone trying to find any damn clue on how to play it. I got some diamonds but without any order or logic. It was hellishly difficult and nerve wrecking, but I was so curious and wanted to find some meaning behind it.

When I finally saw the solution here, I realized that I would never have managed to finish it, couldn't even DREAM of it.

Btw MUSIC ROCKS. Pure SID emotion.

  • FISH!

  • This game was so stoned. I wonder what they were thinking about while making this weird game :D

  • I like the tune from 4:21.

  • What is....going.. on ...here....?

  • Were the death scenes in this game as freaky as the amiga version?

  • 4:42 CANNOT BE UNSEEN

  • Smashing penis-creatures with a fish is kinda disturbing...

  • What's the heart rate thing for?

  • It's a very strange game, and hard to play (specially with bad quality Joysticks) , but I lik it. C=64's games are fun! (and of corse all the other oldschool games)

  • Just three words: WHAT THE HELL?!

  • I'm not particularly a fan of Barry Leitch's embellishments to the original music (David Whittaker started out on the C64, why he had someone else port his music is beyond me) but this seems to be a really faithful translation.

  • can someone please do a walkthrough of C64 time machine by vivid?

  • its true that this c64 version is really hard to control...I NEVER got pass the eating ball scene at 2:00 ..got to pass it back a few times, but always eaten in the end ;D

  • Strange penis-camel monsters in the desert. I didn't know about this game when he had the c64 I only found this while I was reliving my childhood with the emulator :)

  • What is the actual name of the song that starts at 01:17?

  • @Sarato english country garden

  • the music is like off a clockwork orange

  • freaky

  • Such a crazy game !! It's a shame there weren't more games that were just plain bonkers like this !!

  • maybe not as pretty as the amiga version but it runs faster

  • wow for c64 the graphics are really good. and the music is c64 standarts...so i guess it is an awesome graphics and music game only controls suck i guess

  • This version looks like it runs a lot smoother than the DOS/Amiga versions. The graphics aren't as good, obviously, but to those who have played both this version and the DOS or Amiga version - does the control respond more smoothly as well? I could never get very far in this game before getting frustrated due to the control lag.

  • I made a video on my profile of the DOS version. The DOS version's controls are REALLY bad. But its got great graphics and music.

  • weirdest

    game

    ever

    !

never made it past the venus fly trap plant stuff, was convinced that the game had a glitch. now i know.....i can move on.

  • Its funny to see such a graphically orientated Amiga game on the 64, it looks bloody gorgeous.

    Stunning.

  • Shit these guys make the game look easy, then you try to play it and you get your ass handed to you!

  • No kidding! LOL

  • @Doommaster1994

Right. I had a pretty hard time with this one as a kid. I never saw the fourth screen. ;-)

  • 15 HITS?! The bee needed over 40 hits in the Amiga version!

  • Could it be that this is easier than the Amiga/PC version?

  • Um excuse me? I tried playing this game and its EXTREMELY hard.

  • The fuck.

  • The fairground music is creepy. And those things in the desert look phallic.

  • soccer ball ate the little girl! LOL

  • i want to play this game!

  • Man what a wierd game. Its like some kind of .. wierd dream..

  • I could'nt even get passed the wasp in the beginning!

    XD

  • Wow.

    WOW.

This game gave me SO much trouble as a kid- I wasn't able to get anywhere close to that.

Watching someone make short work of it is SATISFYING.

  • back in the 90s this game pissed me off. thanks for helping me get closure lol!

  • I like this game. I got the DOS version off of the underdogs a few years ago. I miss that site.

  • Oh now it all makes more sense! When I bought it there wasn't a booklet with it and it made zero sense to me!

  • Does anyone know where I can find an emulator & ROM for Windows. I would really love to play this game as well as the amiga version. The graphics on this one aren't as good as the Amiga, but I like the music more.

  • Look up the dos version. I couldn't ever get Amiga stuff to work. I'm just lazy I guess.

  • TBH, I was thinking this looks every bit as good graphically as the Amiga version, especially for an 8 bit computer. It looks amazingly polished,& the sound & music aint half bad either. You can certainly tell there was a talented group of people behind this,BUT WHAT DRUGS WERE THEY ON THAT'S WHAT I'D LIKE TO KNOW? LOL. I have to say, that this is one of the most bizarre games ever, maybe THE most bizarre ever,it would certainly win an award for most bizarre game ever if there was such a thing lol

  • yeah amiga version much better and look like more art,but c64 version was good too for old days. it was really surrealistic game and was very strange feeling to play.

not so much game in these days which is so creative and weird.

  • Awesome play! But for everyone seeing this game for the first time, I recommend checking out the run of the amiga version (also on youtube), because it was so much better... much creepier, and such beautiful artwork.

  • Kewl classic game! Nice 80's style music! But, it just didn't seem to make any sense.

  • This is the weirdest game I ever seen, I find it a little bit disturbing.

  • Hence it's title ;)

  • Holy shit, did a soccer ball just eat a little girl?

  • Holy shit! A DAVID LYNCH GAME!!

  • No, Weird Dreams is far better than this overhyped guy. David Lynch is not a synonym for surreality.

  • i only just realised this had been added brilliant

  • Ahh, forgot about the 100% score. I only had 83% when completed. With a 100% score it could well be a different ending.

  • Yeah, and it's also enraging after everything the 16-bit game puts you through....

  • Surprising how easy this is on the c64, compared to the PC/Amiga and ST versions. They were are almost impossible to complete without the hall of mirrors -s.o.s cheat.

And the ending on 16bit versions, the demon-girl with the knife kills you on the operating table.

  • i remember. Cool. Thx
