  • Panzy Brady of the NFL can't take these hits.Media hated XFL cuz Wrestling owner McMahon owned XFL.

  • @MrPloughe you wont be saying that if you play football, i love both rugby and football.. both are different so dont judge a sport you never played....

  • Was that Jim Ross talking t 1:15 ?

  • Already 10 years now, I missed the XFL, a lot more interesting than the NFL

  • I love how XFL quarterbacks are such meatheads hahaha

  • why did the xfl fold after its first season?

  • @wackymac28 NBC opted out of a second season. TNN & UPN were not willing to pick up the remaining cost. Attendance and TV ratings dropped off after the first few weeks.

  • @AVSEAL2012 that sux, the xfl woulda been sick though

  • I'm from St. Louis, The Rams just gave Sam Bradford $78 Million/ 6 years. I don't want to see him hurt. The 2009 Rams had three starting Quarterbacks it was ugly, 1-15 ugly.

  • @AVSEAL2012 at least you didnt go 0-16 like the 2008 lions

  • why can't the nfl let quarterbacks get hit like this, i wanna see 4th stringers by the end of the season

  • @rohndra hell yea thats football

  • Do you think that if the xfl still did exist would all the great NFL players compete and still be great in the xfl?

  • how about exterme soccar federation to get some international ratings too.

  • whatever....its fake

    they are reading some scripts

  • is there any major diffrence between this and regular nfl rules and such? never heard of XFL before so..

  • @123TheBeat Lol definitely. There pretty much isn't any excessive roughness penalties, no fair catches, and you can send one person on the offense in motion during the snap.

  • That shit sounds entertaining =D but seems to hurt more then the nfl :P

  • @123TheBeat XFL was just vince Mcmahon's attempt to make a WWF version of football

  • @Nertrender yea but the wwe still does exist in football: it's the NFL.

  • @BJbobjr truth

  • hahaha mike adamle

  • I don't know about you guys...but I'm excited about the UFl starting tonight. It's not as Extreme as the XFL...but they did get rid of that stupid fucking Tuck Rule.

  • wats the ufi?

  • The United Football League.

  • is that still going on right now?

  • Yes. They play on Wed. Thur. nights usually on VS Network. But their championship game is Thanksgiving weekend. So the first season is just about over.

  • oh alright thanx for the info

  • Nothing. It was a brand not an abbreviation. The advertising often used the word "Extreme" to describe the product.

  • whts xfl stand for?

  • X Football League

  • that would never happen there are like 80 games at 3 hours a game thats alot of dvds

  • where can i watch this if it still comes on

  • it only had one season and it folded

  • I recently found the tape with the First XFL game on it. New York Hitmen at the Las Vegas Outlaws. Sold out stadium, and how they replaced the coin toss with a ball possession drill. I may up load in the future. Also a Regional Football League game from 1999.

  • Vince is a sadist.

  • That Mike Adamle and Jesse Ventura

  • tommy maddox lol.. he was drafted to the broncos eons ago as a backup and BLEW

  • he was xfl mvp...then had a few decent years with pittsburgh..then almost cost them a playoff berth the year they won their fifth superbowl. lol

  • I was they would bring it back, I really enjoyed it. My favs where the outlaws and the demons

  • At least the vidoe game should come back.

  • i cant believe it jesse ventura

  • i was a s.f. demons fan.

  • me too

  • I'm so glad this was posted. I never got to see these games all the way through cause I had to work and when I got home they'd be almost over. I wish the whole season would get put on DVD.

  • XFL was great. They gave up on it too quick. No sports league or association has been successful in the beginning. If they had given it five years I think it would have worked out for them.

  • Finally, a league worthy of Jeff Brohm's tallent...

    Wait...who?

  • If they could have lasted for more than a season... the quality of play and players would have improved. Kind of a shame... some of the players they talked to on here seemed to have a legitimate passion for the game.

  • whatever happen2 xfl xtream football lead anyway

  • LMAO Matt Vasgersian

  • haha xfl

  • they had so good jeresys and helmet logos, except Birmingham

The league was doing great the first 3 week, some of the TV rating were better than the NFL's and the staduims were selling out. the problem was people wanted to see wrestling on the football field, and that is not what happened

  • i thought bir. was ok but i hated memphis

  • The other half of the problem was the fact that they had WWF wrestlers showing up, doing TV commercials, and generally advertising the product. That was just easy fodder for ESPN sports analysts to make fun of the product.

  • I think it's nice how they film these High School football players on primetime TV.

  • what the fuck is the xfl

  • it was a football league created by the wwf and was on of the biggest failures of the century.

  • i disagree yah it was a failure but i loved it

  • Hey, he just said it was a failure. He never said that IT DIDN'T OOZE AWESOME FROM EVERY PORE.

  • watever

  • LOL at Mike Adamle....i forgot he did commentary for the XFL back in the day. So much for his 2nd run w/ the WWE

  • Say what you want about the XFL but it wasnt bad football at all

  • Matty V! Best commentator ever

  • i cant watch this video

    great vid 5M

  • this video was good

    comment me back 8W

  • I think a lot of those XFL QBs got sacked much more than NFL QBs is because XFL O-line dissolves in a matter of seconds and none of the QB are NFL mobile.

  • say what you want about the XFL but some of those dudes hit hard. and if it had of stayed around for another year or 2 they probably would have worked all the nutty stuff out and it would have been a pretty descent league

  • The XFL was way better than the Arena League. At least it was real football. Arena League sucks ass.

  • Yea... Arena is hard to watch. I hate the goofy short field. The best thing to come from it was Kurt Warner. I enjoyed the XFL, I wish it was still around... real football in the spring!

  • if that's true then how has the arena football league lasted for more than 20 seasons. it looks like thousands, maybe even millions of people disagree with you.

  • For the same reason that Puff Daddy has been able to build an empire for himself based around shitty music - people have bad taste.

  • obviously not everyone likes the same sports or the same type of music. i'm sure a lot of people would say that you have bad taste too.

  • I'm just saying that the fact that millions of people watched it is not a valid argument for it being good. After all, tens of millions of people voted for George W. Bush to be president and would vote for him again.

  • i'm just saying that: 1. different people have different opinions of what's good and what's not and 2. just because you say something that doesn't make it true.

p.s. ESPN has been around for almost 30 years, they're an authority on sports and they have a contract with the AFL.

  • ESPN keeps Jay Mariotti and Jim Rome on their payroll. That should tell you how much of an authority they are on sports.

  • AFL is suspended for the season...

  • what is the xfl?

  • Alexbracth1127:

I don't understand why you don't just GOOGLE it and find out yourself. Infact I'll let you do that.

  • did i just hear matt vasgersian at about 2:25?

  • I think that is, Amazing how he's more known for a videogame, than his play by play.

  • Good Lord, Mike Adamle on commentary.. no wonder they only lasted a year....

  • I have to say with only one year this was exciting quality football. They were going in he right direction yet didn't stick it out.

At least i taped every game XFL & USFL are still real to me.

  • USFL is returning in 2010 ... newusfl dt cm

  • whats the song at the start

  • some one tolf me wwf superstares played in xfl is that true?

  • who is the commentator in the middle?

  • Matt Vasgersian, one of the best in the business.

  • i was fun to watch

  • did u know that vince mcmahon owned this

  • wow they had underarmor back then

  • This season brohm is gona step up jus watch

  • Yeah it was.

Brohm played college football at the University of Louisville. He won the Kentucky "Mr. Football" Award in 1988 while attending Trinity High School in Louisville. Brohm played professionally for the San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns of the National Football League and for the Orlando Rage of the XFL.

  • was that jeff brohm the qb coach that was brian brohms brother?

  • wow i didnt know brian brohm's brother played in the xfl

  • who fucking cares. brian brohm is a rookie. should ou know lots about him? let alone is his brother?

  • Brohm is going to be a good QB.

  • I WILL Never Forget "HE HATE ME"

  • Rod Smart... Hilltoppers, represent!

  • forget tommy maddox

  • However, the final nail in the coffin for the XFL was that Vince McMahhon refused the terms set out by UPN, that WWF Smackdown be cut down to 90 minutes instead of 120 minutes. It was soon after that McMahhon announced the cancellation of the XFL.

  • The ironic thing is that the reason that the XFL flopped is because it tried to kill two birds with one stone by attracting pro wrestling fans along with football (NFL/NCAA) fans. Even though there's no evidence either way, the majority of football fans distrusted the league, assuming that because of its relationship to pro wrestling, the games were scripted in advance. However, a few XFL players went on to play in the NFL and CFL.

  • Great job taking from wikipedia

  • This was a joke

  • Why do the World Cup Football fans arrive at this video and get ticked off? Does XFL mean something eles to you guys?

  • That might be my fault. I have an XFL video on my profile. My profile in turn has a lot of soccer videos which attract a lot of what US Soccer fans would call "Eurosnobs". Not only do they not like US Soccer, but they look at any chance to talk down on "American Football". My video is linked to yours via "related videos".

  • FUCK YOU!

  • fuck you themoorminator. you can suck my dick, which you probably do anyways, FAG!

  • ...u want me to suck your dick, and I'm a Fag? Ur a fucking moron

  • aren't you just contradicting yourself by calling him a fag but telling him that you want to fuck him and asking him to suck your dick? lol@kids.

  • fuk u

  • Looks like they had a good number of people in the crowd.

  • People love to rip on the XFL now that it's dead and buried but most of their games drew well, especially in the warm-weather cities. Their TV ratings were abysmal by the end of the season but for the most part they didn't have any trouble getting fans to come in person like other failed football leagues before them.

  • Las Vegas was legit. Rod Smart (He Hate Me), Reggie Swinton and Mike Furrey(may have made pro bowl) all are pretty good in the NFL

  • man that brings back some memories, i had season tickets to the Memphis Maniax haha

  • I think people miss the idea of perpetual pro football. Super Bowl, XFL, NFL Europe, Arena, CFL, and then the NFL. I think there was lineman who played for 18 months or so.

  • man anyone think theyd bring back XFL? i never got ot watch it butseeing these videos..omg haha i need it

  • Whats the mai difference between the XFL and the NFL?

Like asking AFL and NFL, youd say the field is 100 yards for nfl, 50 yards for AFL and there are walls, i dont understand the difference bt XFL and NFL.

  • As far as rules both leagues are mostly the same. XFL played their season after the NFL season finished with the Super Bowl.

  • Oh, thanks :)

  • No fair catches. 1 player from each team would run after an idle ball instead of doing a coin toss to decide who kicks/receives. They also had the option of going for 1, 3, or 5 extra points after the TD (5 being the furthest distance from the endzone). Good times.

  • running backs wernt as good so bigger hits.

  • Xfl is alot more of football than Nfl

  • I farted

  • how can this come have a positive reception? Hahaha thats funny

  • To this day I still believe that the XFL had the best overtime system. People probably didn't like the XFL because it was run by McMahon. But I liked the XFL because it was different, nicknames on the jerseys (He Hate Me), introduced the sky cam and sideline interviews, and it wasn't as traditional as the NFL as far as team names go. You'll never see team names like the Hitmen, Maniax, or Demons in the NFL. I've always liked the NFL but XFL felt and dared to be different. RIP XFL.

  • i remeber watching this league alot but i some how have forgotten the overtime system of the league. May i have a refesher course

  • arena football is awesome

  • I don't care what anybody says...I kindof miss the XFL

  • It blew.

  • don't feel bad reily6488 i do to
