I think that this song gets to people, not only because of the tunes and the way it seems to touch you, but John seems to give to the audience a piece of himself each time he plays it. How was that for deep!

@marty177 It's also because, as it seems, he never plays it live the same way twice. Barely any of the videos of him playing this live are the same throughout different performances. So it's almost like he does give the audience a small part of the song and himself each and every time he plays it. It's beautiful.

i just know realizided, why he keeps on changing this song. He is just changing, this song is like essence of his soul, every time sth in his heart changes, it repels in the song. to me Max seasons version, which i understand is original, is best yet, and i heard pretty much there is here thats performed by him, it just sounds more pure then this. i`m not saying that this is bad ,this is down right awsome in any way it is possible to look at. i just cant feel this version that much .
