When I saw them in concert, I would've never guessed they would do this, but they did an excellent job, even without Johnny, his partner in Van Zant. .38 Special forever
reply to JustaChick247. considering the fact that you seem to be focusing on the guitar player danny chauncey. He used to play in a local bar band back in the early 80's in alameda california. called the alameda all stars. and they covered the song "HOLD ON LOOSELY" it had just came out on the radio and he played it like he wrote it . and then when I heard he joined 38 special. I knew he made the big time. It's great to see Danny is still in 38.
Thanks. Yes.. he is very talented. I would go see them in a heartbeat if they ever came to smalltown america again..lol! I liked the fact that he seemed real on stage. Like a guy playing for his friends.. not showing off. :)
I saw this being sung on Blue Collar TV and thought it was awesome, but I didn't know the name of the band or song so finding was super hard. Awesome band and song
The actual name of the band is Van Zant. Van Zant consists of two brothers- Donnie is the guitarist/vocalist for .38 Special; Johnnie is the lead signer for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Their older brother was the late Ronnie Van Zant, founder and singer for Lynyrd Skynyrd. As Van Zant, they have, I belive, 4 albums, one released just recently.
van zant will never go out of style
