  • John Huston was in a television commericial in the late '60s or very early '70s promoting a brand of color TV. I can't remember the product. He was sitting at a poker table with a stack of chips in his hand. "The (something) is (some color), the table is green, and the chips are red..." His voice has stuck in my head ever since. BTW, Samantha Eggar was in another of the same series of commercials. "...and my dress is VIVID green!" Classic ad fail--we remember the ad but not the product.

  • omg. this was epic!

  • A travesty. The man made The Maltese Falcon. He wouldn't have stooped so low as to do a dumbass blaxploitation film.

Having said that, this was funny.

  • moronic.

  • more please

  • This is too freaking funny.

  • Pretty good imitation, but slow down and put some more rasp in the voice.

  • Oh SHIT. A parody. Let me spit out the HOOK. And Steve Jobs thought HE defined "insanely great." Guess again, Mr. Jobs. Jeff

  • This bit is hilarious! Had me in stitches. The guy imitating Huston in this parody sounds a LOT like the real John Huston. This one is on the money.

  • Anyone know of any real clips of john huston talking? People keep on saying Daniel Day Lewis' accent from There Will Be Blood is an imitation, except I cant find any vids of john talking on youtube for comparison.

  • search for "Arena - Orson Welles Part 15". There is a clip of Huston speaking from 00:13 onwards.

  • Hahaha, rocket470: after seeing THERE WILL BE BLOOD yesterday, I was just logging on to YouTube to search for the same thing!

    Thanks, bodie152!

  • Also, look up "Cannery Row" -- he does the voice-over for that film.

  • @rocket470 Watch the movie Chinatown. John Huston plays a supporting role in that film.

  • i wish this was real.
