  • The Army was so much better back in the early days of the war.

  • I say we nuke the entire site from orbit

  • If you aint AIRBORNE you aint shit

  • @bigriggz07 Only if you have an 11 series identifier... otherwise you're just an Airborne POG.

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 damn legs

  • @bigriggz07 Fuckin' POG's.

  • her if she someone explain to me, about what it is, why fight the Taliban and the United States and the United Kingdom and other countries. why are they in Afghanistan, and fighting against each other

  • The question is who is more valuable to the humankind...a third world shitbag living back 2000 years ago stuck in a religion from hell itself and these individuals will never ever contribute one item to the betterment of humankind! These are the leftovers of a time gone by much like wound that never heals until you zap it with hadji away! Pull our boys out and nuke this shithole or cut them loose and let them do their job! Rules of engagement lost us Vietnam. Do one or the other!

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT

Congratulations, you have just stepped into the trap that insurgent warfare attempts to create.

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT American troops in aftghanistan isn't doing anything to help the American's either. It's actually hurting us. 9/11 happened because of our involvement with the middle east. This war is hurting everyone.

  • @butanerios Aaaaahh drink another cup of our 3rd world country coolaid. Please adults are talking here and it is probably passed your bed time!

  • @MrBRITBRIGHT I"m sure you are either Republican or Retarded. Not much difference. Anyway adults discuss U.S. foreign policy critically, like I was doing. If you do any research you'll realize exactly why 9/11 happened, and it has to do with our military presence in the middle east, specifically saudi arabia, and our support of israel. And if you think America is just in going to 90% of it's wars you're sadly mistaken. So why don't you shut the fuck up, open a book, and get off your high horse.

  • My big brother is in this video.. love what he did for our country.

  • @roach182008 killing citizens

  • @ferrynator15 ask your self this what would you do if someone shot at you? are you going to stand there and get shot, i dont think so. pay attention to the video. at no point did they go on the offensive. they defended themselfs and the guys they captured were saudi arabians.

  • 173RD combat brigade was is the Army's first to deploy along with all the other air borne brigades.

No other infantry can be used like a air brigade combat team .These soldiers train in italy on jungle operations ,night raids, ect ect .

So for someone to say Inantry in army cant compete are wrong .

  • @AmphibiousReconMSOB

    Jungle training? In Italy? Haha...

  • 173rd are hardcore dudes. Took a lot of casualties in '07. Inflicted countless on the enemy. Nothing but respect.

  • @Wiggiti no airborne.

  • I'm Related to Joris Hentenaar

  • I like this video because I'm in it that's my platoon and BCo 2/503 1st platoon kelts... Guess who was also there Sal Gunta the medal of honer winner he was in first squad I was in third with Hillmo, tatro, Diggens, baboo, Korp, cernock, good times crazy times an shity times...

  • It is so unfortuante that there are so many basher working for neo con regims and promoting shits here. When something good is writen here, they seem to pamper so many fake comments so that the good message disapper to the next page.

  • Between army and marines there is no diffrence except budget.. Marines have to go to sniper school in fortbenning witch is an army base.. I see them equal.. A bullet will kill a marine the same it will kill an army men

  • @roach182008

Ummm no they run their own Scout Sniper Program.

  • My brother was in thos platoon

  • is this 2004/2005?

  • Which movie are these clips from?

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW A WILLINGTON RHOADS DIED IN 08 IN BAGRAM??

  • lol Marines think their tough; id enlist in the army without out blinking. the helicopter landing if the soldiers running out was epic; AIRBORNE!

  • are BCT's a little larger than regiments?

  • FYI, the taliban are not outsiders, they are mostly trible people from the same area. When it comes to fighting they won't fight in their own turf, because they know if they fight, the US would bomb the whole village. So, the only way they would fight is on their own term, and somewhere remote from their village

  • @lucas911611 Your a idiot most of the fighters still fighting are all outsiders from yemen pakistan and other countries. The iraqi and afghan militias even turned their back on alqeda because they beat the women and cut the mens heads of for lil shit cuz they believe in sharia law.Look it up theres vids of this on youtube.

  • @RockAfella73 .. I don't have any comments. Your name and how you reply to someone comments shows you are not in an age that can communicate in an intelluctual manner. With the word you used "idiot".. all I see in you is like listening to a dog barking. go doggy.. jump.. wiggle your tail .... oh.. also.. catch my that stick I throw at ya!!!!

  • 2:43 Division? 173rd = Brigade

  • @ArabsStank yeah I caught that too when I first heard it lol 173rd Abn BCT, not division.

  • U.S. Army Infantryman = The hardest convential job in the entire military. HANDS DOWN. Marines are cool and all, but their deployments are 1/3 the length of ours. 11B for the win.

  • @ArabsStank oh please, I've seen fuelers and commo going out on patrols more than 11bravos do. it all depends on the unit im sick of infantry thinking they're so badass. everyone does your job and then their job on top of that

  • @Lesbifrens, I agree. I am a 92y, supply dude. I just served 3 years in one of Ranger batts and now I am on my way to the 503, 2nd batt. As a support dude I stood next to the 11B's, shot the same weapons, jumped out of the same planes, and then went to my little office and did my job. Now days everyone is fighting the same war, shooting their rifles. Not even by choice sometimes.

  • 3:36 Dear John

  • ALLAH O AKABAR!@

  • *so if anybody is at home, pretty good chance they taliban or whatever*. How professional and intelligent, not.

  • Meh, some high ranking generals still dismiss special forces as "the only thing special about them is that they believe their own pressclippings". I wouldn't go nearly that far criticizing them but some of that criticism is warranted because some of those soldiers have egos so big they think they're infallible but others just describe themselves as "military" & shock their families & friends when they learn that they were in some elite military unit.

  • 1.US soldiers enter villages uninvited which put villagers in danger w/ Taliban.

    2. Soldier comments that soldiers don't hear expressions of appreciation from villagers.

Really? When do citizens of one country appreciate the presence of occupying foreign forces fighting in their country?

  • @xerocada1 - seriously ignorant statement from someone who has obviously never been there. You'd be better off not trying to summarize the views of a people you have no knowledge of or experience with. I could point you to hundreds, if not thousands of Afghan citizens who I encountered that were thankful for the relief from the oppression of the Taliban. Unfortunately you'd have to climb out from under that rock and venture into dangerous Afghanistan in order to meet them.

  • He should tell them that he will kill the taliban and arrest thoose who help them:)

  • guy is a g lol ''we are here to find the taliban and kill them'' ''if we find out your helping the taliban, we will kill you too'' lol gangsta

  • It's really annoying how people compare who has the best Soldiers, Special Forces, Tanks, Technology and all that shit. When those that they are comparing don't compare themselves with their British or US counter parts. The thing is they are both on the same side. And to hell with those comparisons. If your not willing to go to the Front Line with them Don't talk all this crap about who's better. Those guys are fighting for each other and not for you retards arguing who's better. Amen.

  • @EichEiEmIhEs Dead Nuts On!

  • Facts: British Army active personnel: 101,000; Total British Armed Forces personnel; 195,500 Total Military Bases Around the World: 86; British Nuclear Stockpile: 200+; Special Forces: Special Air Services; British Defense Expenditure (Y 2008): $69 billion USD

  • Facts: US Army active personnel: 1, 055,000,000; Total US Armed Forces personnel: 1, 426,000,000; Total Military Bases Around the World: 700 in 130 countries; American Nuclear Stockpile: 5000+; Special Forces: Navy Seals, Delta Force, Green Berets, Top Gun; US Defense expenditure (Y 2008): $623 billion USD (47% of world's total military expenditure.) Bottom Line: US Armed Forces = 600 pound Gorilla

    God Bless America

    You moron

  • @nrlopez2005 I think you have too many zeroes(3 to be exact). lol but I get your point. way to prove it. it's nice to see someone actually using facts to support their arguments.lol

  • The USA Armed Forces has the ultimate capability to plan and attack an air or ground combat war, or dispatch for rescue and humanitarian relief. The British Army is not the best in the world for the mere fact that they could not defend nor protect their own country during the Second World War as they had to call on the Russians and Americans for help.

    God Bless America

  • The US soldiers dont know how to work out there, he said that there for the taliban to kill them, and that if your taliban and an American soldier finds out we`ll kill you to . . . Look on the British army video`s we would never say anything about killing, thats because we are more intelligent and way more professional . . .

  • @Elitepoosniff LIKE IT OR NOT WE ARE THE BEST AMERICA HAS THE BEST WARFARE TECHNOLOGY. GOD BLESS THE USA....

  • @nrlopez2005 Typing in caps to make it seem your shouting . . . idiot, the British army is the best trained in the world, British marines go through the toughest training than any other force in the world, royal navy best in the world, British Special Forces best in the world, the British army`s Motto is Be The Best and thats what we do perfectly, we also have the new and best kit and tech you Idiot were the ones that design it most of the time, also we have the best tank in the world . .

  • @Elitepoosniff I have heard many royal marines say that americans marines are better. Buuuuuuttttt the american green berets and some other special forces admit that SAS are pretty darn good. So bottom line America and UK are awesome and are and should always be the best of allies and dominate

  • @Elitepoosniff

All of those are biased opinions, not facts. Yes, your Royal Marines are top notch and second to none. However, Our Army is MUCH larger than yours, and theres nothing to say yours is better trained. As for the best Navy in the world. I'm sorry, but there is NO argument that the USN is the biggest, and baddest.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 The Royal navy was Britain back bone of the empire, its was the empire. Britain`s navy is second in the world for sea control and dominant power over the waves to the US, even though we have small naval force compared to the US, China and Russia, yet we still are able to cover so much area, the RN is a blue water navy, along with US and the French, we still carry the empire spirit, we still carry the standards that reach royal approval, same with the British infantry.

  • @Elitepoosniff " Look on the British army video`s we would never say anything about killing, thats because we are more intelligent and way more professional . . ." -- you have no idea what you're talking about. You know nothing of the area were were working here. This is the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan, aka the last sanctuary for the Taliban. They were only allowed to remain in the area because the civilians hid them. The number one industry in these mountains? poppy fields...

  • @uhrdavid The US army is not professional nor are the marines, how many civilians were killed in Iraq ? Hmmmmm some were even executed on the spot . . . Helmand province and Kandahar province are the most dangerous places in Afghanistan, they were at the start of the war and they still are now, British troops were the first to be sent into Helmand, my uncle is a high ranked officer in the British army . . . and your telling me im wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @Elitepoosniff

Retard. Helmand is occupied by both American, AND UK forces. The US was first into Helmand in 01. And last I checked, the British were in Iraq side by side with the US, and executing civilians is prohibited, and any man to do it will be rotting in Leavenworth for a long long time. Your uncle being a "high ranked officer" doesn't mean YOU know jack shit. So why don't you go ahead and put your money where your mouth is, man up, and head to ITC Catterick ya cunt.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 Britain only really started its mission in Afghan in 2006, just as TaskforceBlack were killing 3500 insurgent in Iraq, Britain had to control a land the size of England with 1000 men, Britain started taking the towns and handing them over to the USMC to then go onto other missions like safe guarding roads that we need to win the war and taking area`s that the Taliban need for strong holds, British Black watch cleared the last main strong holds from the Taliban in Helmand.

  • @Elitepoosniff

What does what you're saying here have to do with anything? And by the way, The Black Watch? Ironically the Black Watch is under investigation right now for killing civilians. Hmm...funny that.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 Civilian deaths happen in war, you can`t stop it, and if you know anything about war you will know that anyway. You saying that, U.S. Army Apache helicopter in 2007, kills a big group of civilians you can even see on the video they have no weapons only a camera, yet the US Apache kills them all and then shoots a van full of more civilians and children... even I could see the Children in the car and it was a passed down video making its less clear than the real video.

  • @Elitepoosniff Keep it simple stupid. People understand messages better when you don't get all "scholarly on their ass" especially when they have the education of a 4th grader.

  • @Elitepoosniff

"Look on the British army videos" hahaha. Seriously? Weakest. Argument. Ever. Using youtube as a legitimate source of knowledge is laughable. Besides, I recall seeing a video of British soldiers in Iraq beating children inside their compound...

  • @CaptainAmerica322 Hardly children, and besides they were endangering the troops and everyone around them, shit happens its war, but Britain is a nation known to not to commit war crimes, which is why Britains military is one of the most respected. The US hates people knowing what there doing and the truth in what there doing hence why that guy was being killed for leaking info on them... the supposed leader nation of the free world still kills its own people... a bit 1800`s... catch up.

  • @Elitepoosniff

Hardly children? They couldn't have been more than 12... And really? Known to not commit crimes? Is this the same country who enslaved half the world for centuries? Seriously faggot, fuck off. Everything you say is based off of biased opinion (opinions based off of prejudice, not facts) because you have NO experience with the US Military. And you're obviously not a serviceman, so you have no experience with your OWN military as well.

  • @Elitepoosniff

And what guy was being killed for leaking info? I didn't see that happen. Like I said, shut the fuck up, and go to ITC Catterick and become a REAL soldier, not a little internet diplomat. Kills its own people? Again, when did that happen?

  • im from Guatemala God Bless USA

  • @nrlopez2005 Fuck you.

  • I Am From From England, God Bless America :)

  • well what i translated from the walkie was...Yes this is Ahhumad and id like a 2 peice with coleslaw and beans

  • When was this documentary made?

  • @Mojo1982 spring/summer of 2005

  • @uhrdavid

Cheers, should of guessed that. Looking at the camo the soldiers are wearing. The digital Grey camo the US army is wearing at the moment was issued in 2006.

  • no shit you think all people would say is good job stay safe but all they think about is themselves

  • guillermob3 The 173rd is under no one. It stands alone. Always has and always will.

    MP

    C/3rd/503rd - The Herd

    1969-1970

  • What division is the 173rd under ???

  • None. It is an independent brigade.

  • @guillermob3 Hey, do you know who the 172nd INF is under? I have been involuntarily recalled back into the army and I'm ordered to report to them, but I have no idea who they are. Do you know?

  • 172nd INF ??? sorry i cant help you man that's the first i ever hear about them and good luck to you - i wish you the best bro stay safe alright.

  • @xX5THGROUPXx what? no dude if you were reactivated or told to report they would have sent you a copy of your assigned base to report to and whom. or maybe in some instance sent someone to your house to get you.

  • Respect! Greets from your greatest allie the dutch

  • It's the 173rd AIrborne Brigade, not Division.

  • you mean Airborne, dude.

  • how can u win hearts and minds, when americans say ill kill you if you help the taliban, and the taliban say you help them ill kill you. how will we win!!

  • that's why we say war is a shit sammich, no matter how you try to slice it.

  • Respect to the us army!!! i'll be joining the canadian army after I finish high its too bad canada's gonna pull out in the next two years but oh well still gonna join!!!

  • Dude you can still do a tour, friendly nations are always willing to take guys, I'm planning on doing that

  • Respect to the US army!!! My heart lays with the royal marines after college and hope to serve with these gr8 lads :>

  • nra4everusa - your nick just says it all. you know nothing about other ppl but expect them they wanna live like you. time to wake up, the u.s. is not the world. there is something beyond. travelling helps.

  • the american soldier will find out and kill you too! how nice I love our military but I see why other people might hate us

  • funny how ppl think that their comments is really of any value

  • @CF19K lol

  • Captain America,

Guantanamo Base and "Gitmo" are one and the same. "Gitmo" is the nickname for Guantanamo Base in Cuba.

JAAP JXBIT was correct, so calling him a 'retard' was immature. Besides, in a debate turning on others and calling them names does not prove anything except that the one calling names doesn't actually have any arguement to make.

    Just my two-bits!

  • @MrAriel1776 you can have your two-bits! just give me two tits!

  • @MrAriel1776 it's actually Guantanamo Bay, not Base

  • Comment removed

  • spunkkymunkky.. the reason why you dont see them is because there dressed like ordinary people dip shit there not uniformed soldiers dumb ass

  • they are in guantanamo base dude ;)

  • Gitmo retard.

  • Wow, don't watch the news to much do ya. You've NEVER seen a body of a Taliban, or a captured Taliban? You need to get out more, and stop thinking so much.

  • oh deary me. my lord, goodness gracious me you are far too clever for my simple brain. i cannot match your superiority. please dont hurt me. you are so right in every way. yes thank you for advising me to go out more, and yes i need to stop thinking so much it kills off so many brain cells. my brain cells have depleted and i only have 2 left.

  • Whatever smart ass. Go watch some news broadcasts. You'll see plenty of dead Taliban rats

  • your a real dumbass arn't you

  • there's a thing called censorship "spunkkymunkky"...

  • Less than 10% of the Taliban are even Afghani. The other 90% are foreigners, mostly from Pakistan, but also from places like Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, or Indonesia.

That is how it was from the very beginning. The Taliban actually invaded Afghanistan from Pakistan after the war with the USSR and took over the whole country. Pakistan is where the real problems are with this war, not Afghanistan.

My Persian friend Wahid from North Eastern Afghanistan told me the whole history.

  • who is your history teacher?Tell him that he lies....

  • I suppose you are more knowledgeable of the history and current conflict in Afghanistan than me Afghan friend???

Lol how many Afghans do you know over there in Belgium?

  • I am Turk.Born in Turkey and i had so many friends from different countries and nations...

Where is your Persian friend is living now?In the USA?Is he a political refugee?

  • Hes living in Germany.

  • They live in caves! I love it. Dumbest race of people on earth.

  • Comment removed

  • i wonder at first if the afgan people (not the taliban) thought they were from the us troops werer from the future

  • Ya they did. His plane has a giant fan on top!

  • I am here to kill taliban & u if u help taliban ! what a stupid way to win heart & mind of afghan people !? what stupid man who comman a army group.. like his chief Mr Bush stupid ;-)

  • true but fear can make people to crazy things including confess ;-)

  • in a way its stupid but it could also make them scared to help the taliban. so it could go either way

  • What? That's the truth. They ARE there to kill the Taliban. And the Afghans know it, and don't like the Taliban either.

  • hey i don't support everything the army or the states do..i'm german and i just pray that god keeps them save cause my boyfriend is one of them.he'll deploy again to afghanistan for 12 months this year.

  • Yeah! Kill those mother fuckers! Wait what?!

  • This is a Crusade and as we move into the next few years we will see an increase in warfare and the killings of innocent people. To my Muslim counterpart, I dont believe God instructs you to be evil; simply the evil one manipulates what is going on around you and the lack of ability to find happiness. There is too much aggression which makes you and the ones you love a perfect target for agitators, murderers, homosexuals and the belief that God will permit you to hate and kill.

  • can some one please tell me why these yank bully bastards are searching little kids i hate the americans they like 2 frighten woman and children

  • Taliban dont give a fuck. they send kids strapped with explosives to the troops then detonate them. Ive heard lots of stories like that. shit head.

  • When a religion advocates extermination of non believers it is time to go hunting for the followers as well as their leaders.

  • "we are here to kill the Taliban. If you are helping the Taliban the American soldier will kill you to" LMAO!! DAM STRAIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS>>LET THEM CANNONS GO BOOM!!

  • If an occupying force went into my town, searched every house, threatened to kill me if I didn't cooperate, and then started fighting some big battle in my village, the first thing I would do is grab my rifle and shoot every foreign son of bitch I could find. It's only natural to want to defend your home and family and it's very easy to see the foreign occupiers as "bad". Thus, making death threats incites hatred and anger instead of fear. They're not afraid, they're pissed as fuck!

  • isnt that what they did too us? 9/11 if you forgot? yeah were just returning the favor x10. love it or leave it

  • With an attitude like that I'm not surprised the Taliban are growing in power and influence. Regardless of what you perceive as "returning the favor", the Afghani people are not the ones that should be suffering from 9/11. I didn't forget about 9/11, I'm just not an idiot like yourself and I realize that Al Qaeda and the Afghan people are completely separate entities. You threaten the afghani people with life/limb over something that wasn't under their control. Stupid tactics = poor results

  • tell that to the famlies of the 3000 innocent Americans that died. you guys are so hypocritical. in my opinion I value the life of an American over the life of someone else from another country

  • lol dude they were invading a country. What did you expect, everyone to just bow down? You're an idiot. Afghanistan has had a history of armed resistance against major western powers. And anyways, Americas role in the world shouldn't be the bully. Those 3,000 Americans are dead for actions American senators and politicians have caused. The mujihideen are symptoms of the problem, not the actual problem.

  • your an idiot like the American people werent the problem but the leaders im going to give you a comparison from your view American leaders are responsible for the terrorists attacking my country well in my view the Taliban is our reason for invading their country. We dont want to rule their country we just want to root out the terrorists and introduce democracy and equality

  • Which we did by ruling and invading their country. Justified or not, the way we're handling this war is terrible. Like I said before, running around like a cowboy is great and all, but is very detrimental to the goals we are trying to accomplish.

Ironically US presence in the middle east was specifically for rooting out terrorism, but has instead caused a ten fold increase in terrorism. The reason so many people are dying is because we unified the enemies of the united states under one banner.

  • its really hard not to run around like cowboys when the Taliban impose violence and no regard to life on the villagers for helping the coalition. Im not saying that our current strategy in Afghanistan is flawless but its really hard to fight this enemy but we need to fight the enemy like i said before it does not help when the innocent villagers are to afraid to help us. Atleast we can agree that the current strategy in Afghanistan needs some improvement

  • I agree with what you are saying. It's a VERY difficult task we have ahead of us. But I don't think you understand. Every Afghan killed by foreign troops outweighs a thousand Afghans killed by Militants. There is a serious complacency in the targeting of airstrikes by coalition forces to the point where almost as many Afghans have been killed by our airstrikes as by militant actions. We are losing this war, and it's because we run around like john wayne.

  • They aren't fighting the Afghan people dude. They are fighting the Taliban, and Al Qaeda. The terrorists tend to use local villages as bases, and also steal the young men and force them to fight for them. They have to suspect everyone.

  • And many local men voluntarily join the taliban. They do forcibly recruit, but that that often. They know the war is about hearts and minds and they're careful not to tread on the Afghans. You fail to realize that oftentimes fighting the Taliban and Al Qaeda means fighting the afghans. Suspecting everyone and blowing everything up is going to kill the "terrorists" but also a shit ton of Afghans. I can't believe we're having this debate 8 years into the conflict....this is old news people........

  • The taliban recruiting grounds are the madrasah in Pakistan. The influx of indoctrinated Pakistani or nationalist Pashtun is something the taliban thrive on.

I have had the privilege of serving with the 173 AB in 2007 as a ISAF liason officer. These guys are professional, hardcore and very diplomatic towards the local people.

  • they'r from afghanistan and they'r people...so what exactley dosen't make them afghan people (I'm talking about their nationality and not about their militia activity's) ????

  • BUT they are not fighting the Afghan people...like, we are not at war with Afghanistan.

  • o come on we both know that that's just oficial B.S.

  • dude...say to the family's of the fallen soldiers that this is not a real war...i would like to see their reaction to that...this is not a conventional war but neither was vietnam...and we all know what happend in 'nam...

  • I'm not saying this is a real war. Fighting in Afghanistan is far heavier than fighting in Iraq. I'm SAYING that we never declared war on Afghanistan. We are there looking for Al Qaeda, fighting the Taliban, and trying to rid the world of Islamic extremist rats.

  • you maby did'nt declare war on the country but it takes just a couple of guns to make war...oficialy declaring a war is just as i said "oficial bull shit"...

  • captainamerica-> what a childish name. comic book bullshit.

  • Better than malaymercernary ....... you didn't even spell it right moron.

  • because i'm not a mercenary. malaymercernary is not a malay mercenary. use your brain ass hole.its my call sign.
