  • Yes you are right, it was inspired more from bunraku than animation. :)

  • bonito bonito!!

  • sweeet !

  • Beautiful! Muy bello!

  • That's incredibly beautiful. Well done.

  • that was really really good....timing, emotion and illustrated waves....

    allusion? death = freedom...hmm?

  • NICE! and it fits efterklang's music well, and there's a bit Surrealism about it as well, it's nice! i like it! efterklang is on of the few good danish bands/groups there have achieved to get outside Denmark if you ask me...

  • Efterklang is lucky to have such beautiful music videos

  • Bello, bello, bello, bello....

  • Do you have something to do with Efterklang?

  • Great video! *****

  • Wow - very cool!

Did you make the marionette yourself?

  • Great, great video. It truly complements the music.

  • thats expert puppetry

  • wow... what a beautiful image! Please do more!

  • WOW

  • Sorta Under Byen, sorta Sigur Ros, pretty good

  • wow. that was awesome. where can I find ep 2?

  • GENGERCAT!!!!! this music is called "post rock"

  • the marionette was beautifully made, and the filming was lovely.

  • I love glitch music. The video fits the mood.

  • Love the stuff keep up the work. would love to see episode 2.

  • it´s cool

  • what would you class this music as?

    modern contemporary classical?

    argh!!

    its so good

  • What the heck with the lonely boys????

    Where are the girls?

  • absolutley wonderful but it seems like some 12 year old got a puppet and played with it on camera, what I am saying is a little more gestures would do, not some rag doll the whole time

  • wonderful crafstmanship on the sets, lighting, and puppets. Interesting premise.

However, I agree with lastlivingsea. There is too much dead air going on. Perhaps maybe incorporating some bits of stop motion so she can do more distinct things in scenes.

I suggest Jan Svankmeyer (sp??)'s "Punch and Judy", which uses a successful mix of live action puppetry as well as subtle stopmotion.

  • It is just buetiful! I love it! It is a little sad at the end but just to much for words.

  • wow

    lovely video

    really wonderful photography

  • O.o that was really awsome! I think she should meet others of her kind and maybe see some who are unhappy with the freedom and those that soar with it

  • I think they should struggle to move and stand in the next video... like starting over, relearning how to live.

  • Any of Efterklang's videos may easily pass as the original video of "The Ring". They are all somehow disturbing...

  • She cut her life strings...

  • Very nice. It was a good choice to keep this "live"—it really lent some life to the puppet strings.

  • your shortfilm is so lovely <3

I think she should be found by another marionette, which mends her strings...

  • Very beautiful sets, gorgeous puppet, but there is nothing especially noteworthy in regards to the story. Using the Principles of Animation might help your piece.

  • good song

  • WONDERFUL!!!!

    i really love it!

    I have no words...

  • great song
