  • It takes a real man to fight in hot pants and make it look good.

  • I mean frank:)

  • Nikka wearin them shorts like coach jack from skate 3

  • 100% good burn notice brought me here.... sooo cool

  • One person got fucked up attempting this move. 57 and counting are succeeding :)

  • haha those shorts !

  • his pants are so short!!! no wonder the guy looks scared!

  • i which i had he dummy on de background

  • ...seems like a good way to get clocked in the face to me. But then again if he's not expecting it...i guess it could work.

  • that guy training looks scared as fuck

  • this is correct what he's doing

it really works but you have to be strong with your take downs

    especially with a scissors

  • damn thats what you call short shorts

  • Kneebar > Armbar

    Low kicks > Body hits

    Why?

Cuz kneebars can ef you up alot more in the future and damage dont in kneebars can be permanent.

You also lower their mobility and agility by a LARGE percentage

  • ehh....i dont understand

  • @renegat68

    -Du must mehr english lernen;)

  • what if the opponent anticipates the scissor and just jabs you in the face putting you off.

and that guy tapped for no reason he just grabbed onto his leg didn't put any pressure.

  • its best to trap an arm while youre doing a scissor takedown. usually, scissor takedowns get people by surprise, but if it was anticipated, then trapping an arm can decrease your opponent's punching power and lure them into a beautiful takedown

  • The guy tapped to a kneebar...you would too

  • he taps for academic purposes, not because he's actually trying to submit him. good point about the anticipation tho.

  • Thank you for the video man.

Right now im a starter at Karate and there's alot of videos that can help me get better outside the gim,any tips that you can give to a starter?

  • What style? If its a traditional style like shotokan practice your punches, when i got real serious about it after i graduated college i did 500 punches each arm and 250 front kicks each leg every day for about a month. But doing this helps your speed tremendously aswell as your reaction time. After that becomes 2nd nature try some more advanced moves like the side thrust kick, roundhouse, back kick. side kick, and the straight mae geri.

  • I like this. It's simple and it can open doors for armbars etc. if you do sport sambo.

  • why do you fucking idiots even watch these vids if your gonna criticize them? none of you mother fuckers actually train because if you did youd understand that this is a demonstration. you train to perfect the techniques so you know when to use them in the right situations. i swear every vid ive seen on here is full of comments from wannabe know it alls.

  • but thats southpaw stance vs regular stance, what if you're both regular stance?

  • I wish I could see this with a right hander

  • I wish i had something to practice it on...

  • its harder in a real fight tho wtf... when he does it the apponent isnt punching he just stands there like wtf... in real life people will be ducking and pucnhing....

  • So will someone you're sparring in MMA or Combat Sambo.

    Funny how that works.

  • ya relly lol no one just stands there in a freaking fight geez...he would be goin at ya or throwing wild punches or kicks not waiting to be owned=)

  • when your tired? and you use this to catch people off guard

  • dude i know what u mean zomgodzilla no one just stands there doin nothing waiting to be owned

  • apparently you've never trained in anything before . yeah it's a lot harder in a real situation but this is what they call demonstrating the move.

  • Idk if you ever watched a fight but their are times during every fight were a fighter is standing their winded thinking of what he can do next, thus he is open to this move or right at the beginning of the fight

If your thinking " what if the person comes swinging at you" then you will wait for the person to get winded because punching at someone takes alot out of y ou after about 15 seconds

  • "it's Really Important that you SUDDENLY enter" so in the light of that quote from the video i would guess that you don't just do this in the middle of the fight but because your @ a distance it's going 2 be a Starting combo that will lead to your foes down fall

  • Broke my partners leg doing this move one day im not allowed to do it in the gym now lol very dangerous move for both of you if he fall incorrectly when your doing it behind his knee he can break YOUR KNEE!!!

  • if you stack your 2nd leg behind his knee and dont use your hands properly the other guy will break his leg

  • Mmhm...

Thats why this is illegal in judo nowadays

  • the underthigh scissor is more dangerous than the regular one.

  • Sambo Steve you are amazing. I am grateful to see your techniques thank you so much......

  • have you explained how dangerous the scissor takedown is? just wanted to make it known for people who are just trying stuff off the internet, people who are very proficient with that takedown STILL occasionaly break people's legs with that takedown

  • i wouldn't b surprised man yeah u could and ppl should watch this and learn it properly in a way influence u then learn it correctly but what u just said i wasn't thinking that u could do that lol thnx

  • Breaking a leg from a scissor sweep? I have to ask how because the mechanics don't make sense. Your knee thigh goes over the thigh of your opponent, and you bring your other leg around behind the person as you rotate back. If you break a leg doing this you aren't doing a scissor...you're doing something else.

  • the scissors takedown is very dangerous and its banned in judo

  • you can't base what's dangerous based on what judo bans. They have a lot of things that are banned which are ridiculous

  • great video, what are your credentials in Russian Sambo?

  • He's the president of the American Sambo Association...
