I agree. Snowbirds put on a great show. Infact in 2009 I was at republic and while the thunderbirds & blue angels do a flyover before they land, the snowbirds did 3 flyovers and some aerobatics!! that was awesome for them to do that instead of just land and end the show like the others do
The Aermacchi MB339 or the M 346 are very best of this airplane. The mb339 is very agile, precise in tacking and aerodynamically perfect; the M 346 have all the 339 characteristics but it possess two motors, control's system "Fly by Wire", a sofisticated computer of edge and other very advanced functions.
Its not as stable as some think. Its actually also very under powered. Just watch any good video with the vantage point from the cockpits, you'll see they flap in the wind like a M***f***er.
Now I know why John Travolta's Tudor is limited to the aircraft maintenance school at ERAU DB... If it is that unstable they would never allow the student to fly or even ride in it. Might also have to do with the 700,000 USD value :P

I must confess: they're very good, maybe more good than Red Arrows or Patrouille de France..

Unfortunately the snowbirds are grounded due to ejection seat issues :/

If you like the acrobatic flight, you come in Italy to see the Frecce Tricolori. You won't repent of it, I assure you.

The Snowbirds fly the CT-114 Tutor.
Made in Canada by Canadair in the 1960's.
Designed as a Trainer from day 1, they are very stable in flight and very good for flying tight formations.
