  • I love the way he looks at her. He's like "Who the hell are we talking about here?!" Lol. And she's like "Uh....shit....Ms...Ingram...right...no...?"

  • he's such a good actor, if he one day does not win an academy award there is alot more wrong with hollywood than the obvious.

  • The best Rochester so far..

  • Fuck me my youtube knows me well, this was top of my recommended videos!! Michael Fassbender <3

  • Michael Fassbender!!! One of my favorite actors.

  • My Favorite Mr. Rochester.!!!!

  • HOW THE FUCK DOES SHE JUST STAND THERE

  • straight up sexy, love their intense scenes together ahhhhh, they have so much chemistry

  • When i first saw the trailer for this movie i wasn't interested but i decided WTH leh me just watch it and now i'm hooked really a great movie. (never saw the other adaptions though i think i'll look into that)

  • you forget that in that period, physical touch was the big no-no! kids were raised up to think it was forbidden, and that proper behavior was the most important sign of a good person.

I find it fascinating what a whole society (and I suspect most of the European societies where like that) could indoctrinate people with!

and btw, have you seen michael fassbender in anything else? it's mindbogglingly how sexual the man is.. or rather, acts :-)

even in X-Men is hard to watch him and not think sex

  • @redcat2k8 "even in X-Men is hard to watch him and not think sex" Expecially, because he plays together with James McAvoy. ;) Their bromance is epic!

  • i love this movie to death. I just didnt get what kinda stare back Mia/Jane was giving him. When Rochester said you transfix me quite she should have seemed intrigued somewhat but she looked scared or like wtf? and when he said what he said at the end she just looked confused lol just because after in the next scene she is smiling to herself so obvs she knows there is something there btw them. so it didnt add up to me. I guess im just reading to into it lol

  • @Moldbreaker This version is wonderfully intoxicating isnt it :). I think Mia/Jane was looking at him like that because he has purposly confused her into thinking that he is talking about Ms. Ingram.. when infact he is talking about her. He has confused her. She knows he is being forward with her and in her private thoughts she likes it. But she is confused as to why he seems to pursue her and then flaunt Ms.Ingram around.

  • @pecky143 that makes sense, thank you for clarifying =)

  • His look of "WTF are you talking about?" makes me laugh every time. xD

  • *Intense stare*

"I'm sure she will regenerate me with avengeance"

Jane's face at 1:36 is like *oh, shit* LOL

  • His voice makes me squirm in my seat lol

  • I hope he stars in more romantic movies like this. Soooooo sexy!! He's the reason I had to buy this DVD!! <3

  • "Fresh and healthy. Without soil or taint." OMGSH. Did anyone else kinda wet themselves?

  • @Victorian9322

Dude, I've replayed this part more times than I can count. Dude's str8 up fucking her with his eyes. His dialogue is persistently laced with sexual innuendos; I was going crazy with sexual frustration watching this movie....LOL

  • Michael kinda reminds me of Mr.Darcy from Pride& Prejudice. They look alike don't they?

  • I don't like this movie so much... I mean. all the time during the film it's like I could see the script from which they're reading their part... their voice is all the same, without emotion... feels like hearing machines talking. It's like there's no emotion, just lines that they say without really thinking about what they're talking about.

Esperava coisa melhor, realmente!

  • It's funny how Mr.R would just assume that Jane would know that it is her that he was talking about. Really, after flirting with Miss. Ingram so conspicuously?

I must say, Michael Fassbender captured the essence of Edward really well, but I think Mia lacked passion, or at least the fire in her eyes. Because Jane may be plain on the outset but it is through her eyes that you could sense her strength, and unfortunately I couldn't feel that from Mia.

  • @eidothea Agreed about Michael's version of Mr. R. I really think he did a great with what he was given, however, who screen tested these two together?! Jane and Mr. R NEED chemistry and these two don't have it! I would have liked to see Michael with someone else, because I think he could have really provided a sensational performance if he was playing off a stronger scene partner. Still it makes me appreciate Toby and Ruth in 2006 version all the more!

  • "You transfix me quite"... <3 :O x

  • god. this movie was so heartwrenchingly amazing.

  • Im the only one who think that she looks just a litlle bit like Jennifer Lopez. Sorry for my bad english

  • it sounds so pervy when you think of the 20 year age difference and he says "Fresh & healthy, without soil or taint" :/

but OMFG so damn sexy that man is

  • LORD! "I'll Reginerate you Mr. Rochester!!" LOL!! Sexiest Line EVER!!

  • Just to clearify, I am a girl. DoctorMailwoman just sounds weird. Anyhoo, I thought that Mr. Rochester was supposed to be "an ugly man", as is often repeated in the book. But this man is GORGEOUS! His eyes, his face, the contours of his body... *Sigh* I would do whatever he told me to do...

  • they've the best chemistry and are most faithful to the books, i think.

  • AHHH OMG I WANT TO TEAR OFF HIS CLOTHES WITH MY TEETH xD

  • @KuRsAbLe lol! Every girl is dying to do that, hes so irresistible!! :P

  • @KuRsAbLe If theres anything left for you to tear off when I'm done (x

  • @KINDOMHEARTSLOVER I'm sure I can find something ;)

  • @KuRsAbLe my god!

  • @KuRsAbLe Get in line!

  • no good the 2006 bbc one is far far better

  • My my my how did I not know about Michael Fassbender before this clip? HOT! Can't wait to see this. Screw the critics i know i'm gonna love it :)

  • I just this minute read these lines in the book and then this video came up in my recommended page. Youtube is spying on me!

  • I would do anything to him as well XD

  • Gorgeous MAAAAAN! <3

  • *sighhhhh* Michael Fassbenderr I would do anything for youuu!!! <333

  • Aspiring authors kill yourselves now. Jesus Christ. Lol

  • No, Michael. You transfix ME quite. :)

  • I love the book and i am soo excited for the movie :)

  • I need to see this movie!! It looks so good D:

  • Honestly I don't know how Jane controls herself when Edward is like inches away from her face. I would've been like "Ah, screw Ingram!! Take me now!!"

  • @1MissKarlieStarr ahahahahaha! Hilarious!

  • they were so having eyesex in that last bit

  • Oddly enough this is actually how i imagined conversations between jane and rochester although timothy dalton and toby stephens did a great job. But Michael Fassbenders eyes are brilliant.

  • Blanche Ingram and Bertha Antoinetta Mason disliked this video..

  • His eyes are absolutely gorgeous and his voice is ridiculously hot...

I know Mr. Rochester is actually supposed to be ugly, but he was a great choice. Despite being handsome, and I find that he mirrors what I read him as when reading Jane Eyre. I also feel that Mia is the best portrayal of her character ever! And I know people think that he acts without emotion, but I could not disagree more... It's something in his facial expressions... Love this movie so much! <3

  • @TheKellyMoto

I think Rochester is supposed to be ok looking, not ugly, but not handsome. I think in the book it mentions something about him having an appealing quality, though I can't remember too well since I haven't read the book in a long time. =O But I agree with you; his eyes are gorgeous! =D

  • love love love love love. favorite book.

  • I love when she mentions Blanche and he looks at her like, "How the hell can I get you to understand that YOU ARE THE ONE I LOVE!!!" Seriously I would have gotten the memo at first freaking sight!!!!

  • I don't think I've ever seen this scene done so well in any version in terms of script, but Michael fassbender is just so rigid and lifeless. Toby Stephens had vulnerability, you can pity him as Jane does, and he seemed thoughtful, romantic and passionate, Fassbender just creeps me out. Perhaps it's becuse I'm reminded of that awful film FishTank.

  • @yookiedookie I know. This movie was beautiful and much more tasteful and clean than the 2006 one with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens, but I like the acting better in that one. There were times where Toby Stephens was a little too passionate. :P This one actually showed Jane's reasons for leaving him better. In the 2006 one, you don't really get that unless you know before you see it because you've read the book.

Haha! And yeah, that could be a reason why Michael Fassbender creeps you out! :)

  • @robynn0405 It's nice to hear the opinion of someone who's read the book, and clearly doesn't like the "sexed- up-ness" of the 2006 version. I'll definitely be going to see this one when it comes to the UK now, thanks for convincing me. :) Mia Wasikowska looks like a good strong, independent Jane, whilst still being believable, and young enough.

  • @yookiedookie Hahaha! It's good to know that I'm not the only person out there who doesn't like the "sexed-up-ness" version. Haha! And I like how you put that. :)

You mean it hasn't been released in the UK yet? That kind of surprises me. I thought that would be one of the first places it would come out. . . :P

And your welcome! She is a pretty good Jane. Kind of weird to see her as Jane at first though. And it's really confusing at first. You'll see what I mean when you see it.

  • @robynn0405 Thanks :). Yeah I'm really surprised, I think we have to wait till September in the UK :(. Ohh you've intrigued me now, I've read that it starts from where she's just left Thornfield, and carries on in flash backs, which could be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the cinematography, I'm hoping Cary Fukunaga has worked with flaring of the lens etc.

  • @yookiedookie That sucks! I'm sorry! :\ The beginning was actually kind of confusing. :P Especially if you've never read the book or seen other movies of Jane Eyre. And St. John is the biggest jerk! :P You just want to punch him! But that just makes Mr. Rochester seem even sweeter. :) And they're more respectful toward Jane in this one than they were in the 2006 one, too.

  • @robynn0405 Haha. Yeah, I can imagine. I know what you mean, St.John's such a fool for not marrying Rosamond Oliver. Cool, I'm looking forward to seeing it :).

  • @yookiedookie No, actually. I mean, he is, but Rosamond Oliver isn't even in this movie. :P Which I thought was a relief and a disappointment at the same time. Because I've never really been fond of that whole part with St. John. Hahaha! I kind of just want to get that part over with so there's more Mr. Rochester! :D Hahaha! St. John's just a jerk! He's the most disrespectful! Everyone else respects her and treats her better but he's just horrible! >:P

  • @robynn0405 No way? Can't believe that. But agreed, anything for more Rochester :P. By the way loved the Tangled picture on your channel.

  • @yookiedookie Yeah, it was kind of stupid, but a relief. Hahaha! Thanks, I love Tangled! :)

  • The dialogue is spot-on!

  • The person who disliked this video was Blanche Ingram..

  • @DameVamp109 Ahahah. Indeed!!

  • Can something write down this dialogue?

  • @vuasprint, with OUT any doubt, I will ALWAYS choose Fassbender ;)

  • This is by far the best looking couple in Jane Eyre!

  • Is there abottle that one can store his voice in , like those bottles of perfume or air de France? It doesn't matter how tired I am or how much I have to work, such voice, if sensible and kind, could always revive me, make me pause and thank God that he has created man. I never thought, I'd say that. let alone feel it. Wow, I have a lot to be thankful for and being a woman is one of them :X

  • People we must have the director's cut which is longer for about 30 minutes than the final cut. Sign a petition about releasing the director's cut in August on the ipetitions page. Especially fans in USA, make a difference. All who worked on this adaptation deserve to get our appeciation as well as we deserve the full version.

  • damn, Rochester ruined alot of women for a whole lotta men, all i can say is "be still my heat"

ps, cant pick between stephens and fassbender............what a girl to do? hmmmmm

  • damn it! when can i watch this movie already???? i first saw these few clips with sexy Michael Fassbender in it then i went and read the iBook version of Jane Eyre and i cant help imagining him already as Mr Rochester! Perfect! and i see a great deal of Jane Eyre in Mia Wasikowska already! i need to watch this movie!!!

  • i wish i could rent the dvd or watch it online or something already!

  • 'Jane, of whom do you think I speak?' *melts*

  • Rochester's expression at 0:54........it seems as though he was about to spring up, grab her, and shout "GODDAMN IT!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!" But then of course he catches himself and says "I'm asking what Jane Eyre would do to secure my happiness."

  • @thenamesbanana lol I've been doing the same thing;)

  • Is it me or those high collars are extremely seductive??

  • @sumiregusa23 agreed lol

  • @sumiregusa23...it is definitely NOT just u! lol

  • I've watched this about 6 times already. I keep coming back to it.

  • Magneto!

  • wonderful scene, it's like he's saying that jane eyre is his redemption in life, I love it

  • I want to see this movie right now - release this in australia as soon as humanly possible!

  • Now that I've seen him as Magneto he's twice as hot :D

  • @JediXManSerenaKenobi yes you are right..Michael is just stunning.

  • Michael Fassbender = sexy...muttonchops and all!

  • Everytime I hear him say "I'm sure she'll regenerate me with a vengence," I'm like, Heck Yeah!

  • I'm getting me an English dude.

  • @elvaelvirababe LOL...or an Irish-German one, as in the heavenly actor playing Rochester, Michael Fassbender.

  • @elvaelvirababe a classic English dude :)

  • @elvaelvirababe Your comment made my day. I seriously want a European man so bad.

  • Politics! Flirting! Suggestion and Counter-suggestion! I love this! Thanks for keeping this here! <3

  • I want to see the whole movie, but I live in Italy and here it's coming out in September...I wish I could come to America and watch it!!!

  • I like the language very much, it is very close to the book and the 19th century -- This was lacking in the BBC mini series (Rochester's especially).

  • I love the look on his face at 0:45.

  • Oh, this story never gets old. Never.

  • I love Mr Rochester:)

  • that mans looks are indescribable! HOT!!!!!

  • Ooh I love this scene. Michael Fassbender is so perfect here. Hurry up and come out on DVD dammit! Since distributors won't give me a chance to see it in theaters with it not playing anywhere near me.

  • Whoa... Alice in Wonderland?

  • @POPARAZZIMONSTER90 :D yay!

  • They seem to be sticking to the text of the novel! I am soooo excited about this one!!!! ! !

  • I love the look on his face when she mentions ms Ingram, he's like "why did you have to bring her into this?!! I was talking about you!!!"

  • @god7man His face is priceless in that moment - he's like "What the crap?"

  • "I asking what Jane Eyre would do to secure my happiness" I love Rochester but selfish much?!
