  • I love how the Dems have "pulled the ad" yet still leave it up on YouTube. I guess their "rapid response" doesn't apply when in comes to removing ads full of lies.

  • Then at least those people have the oppurtunity to move to a different state. If you mandated it at a federal level, you remove all choice, and remove all controls and safety measures against the govt cooking the books and subsidizing

  • good call on the state level desicion, thats how it is supposed to work. Why do some people want it on a federal level?

  • My State Ma. already has it. That's why I brought it up. I feel most things that should be decide for us all should be voted on, and keeping the power with the states they way it was meant to.

  • Its not as though there isn't a rulebook on how to govern from the federal level though. We aren't starting a country from scratch, we have an established and effective, although eroding constitution that forbids this kind of intrusion.

  • PRO7E, assume all the things you say republicans lie about are actual lies, is it still not an infringement on our civil liberties. And are you willing to give those up for socialized healthcar?

  • Funny they do not mention WHY they are not going along with it. just that they are not. Yep the Dems must know that most people are stupid and will listien to anything they are told....without question.

  • Well telling people whatever and then having them believing seems to work for the Republicans. (YOU LIE!... OBAMA'S A SECRET NAZI KENYAN WHO CANT BE PRESIDENT!... DEATH PANELS!... HEALTHCARE FORE ILLEGALS! etc...) The Dems are just fighting fire with fire. They've done the high road of "offering bipartisanship" and have the smart half of the country on board. Now you'll start to see commercials with crying old people to turn the dumb half into supporters.

  • I want Senator McCain to pleasure me sexually. Is that wrong?

  • no its just sick. hes married.

  • Wonder what the democrat party would do if they had to run honest adds? Nobody will admit the truth, that republicans have health reform plans that would actually work, i.e. tort reform, allow ins companies to sell nation wide, and catostrophic care tax credits. The "party of no" line, is a lie.

  • deaddog35-- What are you? Just another big mouth squealling out the Repubs/Insurance Co. LIES!

  • Right on par, no argument, so let's call somebody a name and make fun of them.

Actually, I didn't make any point for ins companies. Let them sell all over the country like car ins, and put some regulators and rules on them to monitor and correct customer abuse. Last I checked, they weren't the only industry ripping some people off(cell phone companies, banks, credit dards) So don't give a sixth of our economy to government, when we don't have to.

  • im not a republican, but i must agree this is absolutely non sence. we live in a democracy, thought we have a lot of disagreements, we must respect others opinions.

  • Finaly someone gets it TY your post made my day. Now if we could understand this and work together..........Well here is to hoping.

  • it would be possible, but some ppl dont get what democracy is... but im gald u agree :)

  • I think there are big problems in the Capitol. Some should be removed from Office. The majority have lost touch with what the people really want and keep playing to ideological homogeneities To keep their own jobs. This as well as other factors has dumbed down voters for years.

  • Cant agree more. In deed what counts is their old ideologies, and screw what is best for ppl. And I know many ppl say noone knows whats best, i say thats just lies. Everyone knows whats best, we could forget for a moment our differences and work all in the same direction.

  • Agreed we have to realize that there are people out there that want socialized health care and people that don't. I always use a saying my father used to toss around. " When has meeting in the middle ever hurt anybody" ?

  • Absolutely. Instead of imposing what we want, we should get to a agreement, that would make most ppl satisfied.

  • I think with Socialized medicine the big thing is it should be decided on a state level and whatever states are in are taxed more for it. It should also be voted on in state not passed as a Gov function, but supervised and funded by them (through the taxes from states who would want to). Leaving those that do not want to to find their own way. Other things like affordability and accountability most people would agree on. That's my best guess.

  • Yeah i understand ur point, but allow me to disagree in one thing. Even though if it was voted in state would represent more fairly what ppl really want, i cant stop thinking about ppl who lives in states that wouldnt aprove it...i believe the best was to get a middle term, so everyone would get benefits from it, and passe it in Gov.

And i think supervision is key for this to work :)

  • If it were easier to allow people to enter in a program or not it would be better. however that I do not think is going to happen it would be to hard to manage all the people. However it dose not seem fair to tax those already with health care(me and my family) they want. Essentially making them pay for 2 insurance policies one they do use and one they never will. I guess this is why it is stuck were it is and for as long as it is. It's to Big to just be decided over night or online ;)

  • ahahah well yeah, lets see how it goes, and hope it goes for the best

Ive really enjoyed talking with someone about politics without usual offences, and this takes me to my first comment, if we live in a democracy we have to respect others opinions :)

  • We live in a Constitutional Republic we practice Democracy (since you can't live in a system of doing things). ? If you like Democracy so much why not leave it to a vote in State. It may leave out some people but that is what a Democracy dose. Majority vote rule. Also if they don't like it they could relocate to a state that dose(I do know alot of people can't)?

  • check my vids for Billy Connolly tells Bill Clinton to fuck off

  • Billy Connolly or The Big Yin. Is awesome.

  • So because republicans screwed up in the past makes it ok for dems to screw up now?

  • so let me get this straight...

the dems are pulling this ad because the repub's are claiming it's deceptive? what about when bush was caught using subliminal messaging in his commercials? what about "death panels"???????

    the hell with them.

  • Its not the republicans fault that you cant pass heathcare. Dems have the numbers to pass it without a single republican vote. The problem is that theycant agree because Obamas plan is so destructive and only supported by the elitists and the morons who believe everything they hear on MSNBC. Very few sick OR intelligent people would want the plan.

Martin Luther King Jr was a republican, and since Dems cant do a damn thing right, ever, our next president will be a conservative too.

  • They are not saying no to reform, they are saying no to this nanny state welfare plan El presidente has come up with.

  • Why do they need Republicans? They have a total majority in both houses and the White House. Republicans can't block this if they wanted to. So why this ad? Because they know it will be a nightmare and want to share blame.

  • If I receive some Odumba money i can get insurance !!

  • I think the debate should be "insurance reform" not "healthcare reform". We don't need to change the entire system, just make it easier and more affordable to get insurance.

  • There's really not much wrong with our health care system. If they really just want the uninsured to have insurance, why not just help them out and keep your filthy hands off of my health care!

  • The Democrats are so full of shit! Everybody wants health care reform. We just don't the GOVERNMENT to be handling our health care.

  • HEALTH CARE NOW!!

  • When it comes to the government passing more laws and regulations, "No" is the only acceptable answer. I think America should elect a vegetable to be our next president. He or she could not sign any legislation, and the government would not be able to do any more harm.

  • @Jeffmagic32

"I think America should elect a vegetable to be our next president. He or she could not sign any legislation, and the government would not be able to do any more harm."

lol why you vote for a president/gov in the first place?

  • Just another scheme and method by the elite and their members to bankrupt further a bankrupt and debt ridden nation.

And for more population controls and reductions too. Check out the Georgia Guidestones and also Agenda 21. Stack and pack the coffins. :/

  • Of course everyone agrees that we need reform of health care . . . They just don't like the way Obama and the Dems are going about it.

  • Great the government overhaul of healthcare gets the support of Mr. Verichip himself Tommy Thompson. My opposition to this whole scheme is now permenantly solidified.

  • Aw damn...I misspelled permanently. Sorry, had to clear that up for all you anal retentive idiots who can't compose a logical argument and would rather attack grammar and spelling.

  • Anyone of you asshole Republicans out there right now who would OPPOSE healthcare reform need to be dragged thru the streets and bullwhip, period. You have used ever excuse in the world to keep it from happening, the most popular is the old tired line " Patients MIGHT have to wait upto a year for vital surgeries" MIGHT, that's a long stretch of odds isn't it? Well you jackasses that oppose it, hear's some news, IVE BEEN TO ENGLAND AND FRANCE! Their system? PERFECT simply put. Have you ever been?

  • I have a preexisting condition and I am very much against a government health care take over. However, it would be fun to watch blue state voters try and fight voters from red states. A bunch of lesbians, hippies limo liberals vs people who actually know how work, fight and shoot.

  • seems like you have a preexisting brain condition that inhibits you from making any logically thought out comments... plus ever heard the saying brains over brawn?

  • I was responding to a comment below which advocated the public beating of anybody opposed to the pending government health insurance takeover. I was simply pointing out that if such a violent conflict were ever to occur, liberals would be quickly defeated.

  • Please, do you remember the Civil War? No? Let me help you out: Us Northern "liberals" SLAUGHTERED you ignorant fools. I'd love to see you try it again!

  • wow that is a surprisingly narrow minded view of a historical even for someone who is setting themselves as something other than ignorant. The ad (lets not forget it is a paid for advertisement) is talking about reps vs dems. I am not sure where the North vs South diatribe comes into the conversation.

  • Funny you bring up the civil war. The north was led by the republican party under licoln while the democrats tried to keep slavery in the south. Democrats again tried to deny civil rights just 60 years ago and also voted no to letting black americans be allowed to serve as witnesses in court. It even took a republican to make MLK day a holiday.

Your view of the past is twisted by Liberal brainwashing.

  • But really does 60 years ago matter when we are talking about now? Not really because we want to know what their policies are now not what they where 60 years ago.

  • Thank you for illustrating the average mentality of the right wing populous and posting it here for all to see. Would that "preexisting condition" have anything to do with an extra chromosome Cleetus?

  • I am glad to see that the intellegencia has maintained themselves by stooping to name calling. I openly admit that I am opposed to the form of health care reform currently being offered for several reasons. If we are actually going to talk about an issue we should stop calling people names. That is of course unless your only desire is to cling to making your self feel better by name calling, in that caseI have nothing

  • The Republican Party is dying out.

  • ....and the democrats aren't?

  • As a Nation, we have one of the highest costing health care systems. Yet, we don't have anywhere near one of the best health care systems. People don't receive the care they need and it cost way too much.

  • People lets be fair, do not blame only to democrats our current situation, they are not the only one that have spend our money and our grandchildren money, also the republicans have spend a big chunk of money... I would like a honest response here and please dont be blind. and be balanced.

  • There is no balance in America. Everything's slanted to the right. Our two parties give us a choice between conservatives and batshit-insane conservatives.

  • Its been a known fact for some time there is not a dime's worth of difference between democratic and republican (not worth capitalizing) elitist socialist scumbags. The left wants to turn the population into serfs and the false right wants indigent servants, each goal requires a large centralized government. Screw your worthless society, Im not paying you a red cent.

  • Dont forget 911 is an inside job...

Dont let the real terrorist get away with mass murder!

  • and then people wonder why our grandchildern will have to pay our debt. glad to be republican.

  • I dont get why these ads run? The Dems rule Washington so what do they care what the Repubs think? Just ram through whatever you want and ignore the Repubs. What morons.

  • because most dems are on the take too. they need ethical politicians to pass good legislation regardless of affiliation.

  • thanks to the republicans, this country still has some money

  • its also why people die

  • Yeah some, democrats are spending our grandchildrens money.

  • let me ask you, when did the war start? when did the resession start, on Democrats hands of Republicans? he have to be honest and fair.

  • This ad is twisted garbage.

  • The DNC should tell there own members in Congress to support the reform because they already have a majority. If you are a Democrat, you should wake up and realize that they are full of shit.

  • Look, I'm not here trying to build up the Repub Party. I just think that the Democrat Party is no better and putting ones trust in Big Gov reform is a bad idea. We can do so much better as a nation instead idolizing the Dem Party and falling for failed solutions that will further ruin our healthcare system and take away more of our liberties and excellence.

  • Yes we wouldn't want to take away our liberty to pay 1.5X more for health care that is so excellent that it's ranked 37th in the world by the WHO. Wake up dude. Whatever the Dems get through, if it shakes the system up it's a good thing.

  • Tacticus - Whatever the Dems push through will do nothing to curb the cost of healthcare. If you have not decided to inform yourself about this bill, it will be at your loss. Cause there is a lot fo taxers and expenses passed onto the consumer. The only thing this democratic party wants is a fund raiser. Why else would they impose such a horrific healthcare bill and cap and tax.

  • The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the Baucus health care bill will lower the national debt. Look it up. And cap in trade simply applies the hidden climate penalty that has always existed to what investors really care about, the checkbook.

Of course they aren't perfect, the Founding Fathers designed a system to work slowly and painfully so that no one man could seize control over the entire thing. Unfortunately they could not foresee moneyed interests buying off the Congress.

  • If Gov is your provider they will be your master.

  • And if somebody has to be my master, i'd rather it be someone i helped elect rather than some golden boy living off daddy's money.

  • More than half of the American people are rejecting Big Government healthcare reform by the Dems and Obama. They see through their rhetoric. Forget about the Repub and Dem Party. American's want real reform not failed Big Gov reform.

  • Reform without the public option isn't real reform. *sigh*, people are such sheep.

  • u crazy? what do u know about Marxism.. u ignorant dumbpublican

  • Except the only socialist in Congress is an independent - Bernie Sanders. Get a clue.

  • why dont they list the mass amount of democrats that dont want this universal health plan that has sooooo much junk added in?

  • Comment removed

  • WHY THE HELL DO THE DEMS NEED PERMISSION FROM THE GOP???!?!?!?!?!!?

Fuck them.....just get it done. They did it to the dems for years.

  • And because the Republicans did do that for years... What happened? Lookie lookie, Democrats became the majority.

So if Democrats hog their power to do everything they want... Republicans are going to majority again.

It is all politics, all politics... Plus some Republicans have good ideas and Democrats want to take their ideas so that it does not look like if the health care fails it is entirely their fault.

  • I understand your position....but they have given them numerous chances....its time to move on without them.

If it fails, just fix it and move on. Why be afraid of failure? (and share the blame)

  • Being stupid and being afraid of failure are two completely different things. All politics are surrounded by money. If you seriously can't see that someone who supports the healthcare bill will GREATLY benefit from it's passing then you are blind. Until we find a way to eliminate corporate interests in politics we will always have corporate favoritism. If you think this bill serves you more than it does the corporations you are sadly mistaken.

  • You just hit the nail on the head.

  • I think the reason behind that is because if it does end up going bad or very bad then all the blame won't be on the democrats. It seems to be purely about politics here trying to get GOP support, so they can blame repubs.

it is just a theory though.

  • I hear you but its time to be unilateral on this one.

Agreed about the coporatism. Its been a problem since the creation of congress.

  • let me see how people feel about this, the those who give the most to defend or freedom should have anything but goverment run health care. The men and women in unifrom have goverment run health care it called THE VA. if their care is second rate then we have failed them by having them defend or freedom

  • The thing that I don't like about this ad is that it ONLY singles out Republicans... Anyone with any kind of brain function knows what they've been saying in the past, what they are saying now, & what they will say in the future - NO!!!

When are those stubborn Blue Dog Democrat Congressmen & Senators going to be singled out for wanting to maintain the status quo? As much as I hate to say this, the Republicans are not the only ones who are dragging their feet when it comes to meaningful HCR!

  • Democrats show zero interest in market-friendly, patient-centered ideas such as using refundable tax credits to make health insurance more affordable, granting universal access to health-savings accounts, or allowing Americans to buy health insurance across state lines (much as Democrats usually support the right of minors to cross state lines to receive abortions).

  • Exactly. Private care exceeds quality and care compared to horribly state-run medicaid.

Scapegoating the "corporations" to push more government expansion is very disturbing though I imagine many Americans easily buy into the moral manipulation.

even the most sinister corporation compares nothing to the government. 2 trillion in tax payers dollars, self-serving gov. agencies, just pure corruption!

  • Markets do not apply here. There is no viable alternative to healthcare.

  • Iowa Republican Charles Grassleys amendment offered great potential for reducing fraud and ensuring that federal health dollars reach actual poor people, not those ineligible for assistance — or outright thieves. Grassley proposed that individuals show government-issued photo identification when applying for Medicaid or SCHIP. On a party-line vote, Democrats killed Grassleys measure and helped the undeserving snatch everyone elses hard-earned tax dollars.

  • Arizona Republican John Kyl offered an amendment to assure that senior citizens not suffer health-care rationing under the Physicians Feedback Program. On a party-line vote, Democrats crushed Kyls proposal and paved the road for rationing the treatment of elderly Americans under Obamacare.

  • Healthcare for EVERYONE is already rationed by the greedy HMOs.

  • The Dems are the party of NO. Just look at all the amendments they have knocked down. America, I really hope you like your state-run mediocre healthcare in 2013 when Obama will be gone. LOL!!!

  • Here's the thing, both Republicans and Democrats have it wrong, when you go full Republican, you have a country of rich folk who rule over the poor folk, and not allow a lot to move up and join the rich ranks, making it like a Olden day Athen Republic(before people could vote as a whole, no matter money worth of yourself), While Democrats are in the wrong because if the country worked the way they wanted, we would be a country of hypocrites who can't make up their mind. You need a little of both

  • Big Surprise...the GOP actually stands for: Governing Oligarchy of Profits.

  • Big Gov does not equal reform! Hello!

  • Too RINO's....Massive Exapansion of government control over healthcare is NOT reform....American's want REAL reform not more government false solutions.

  • Arnold...LOL!!!...whipped by the wife!

  • I SMELL FALLACIES!

  • If you listened to, or read any of the accompanying statements from these people, not ONE supports ANY of the bills as proposed, they just acknowledge reform needs to be passed. Hell, we all agree on that, just not the shit sandwich bills currently in rotation.

  • ALL THE REPUBLICANS CITED FOR BILL HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT AND OPPOSE DEM PLANS TO SHELL GAME #S ON BAUCUS BILL.

Baucus bill which is being rushed through congress, ground into other bills, being changed after its voted on, not being studied for actual effects is full of taxes, fed unfunded mandates, fees, fines, provisions that will all find their way to mid class people and their insure. premiums.

It is more deliberate dysfunction, create excuse to seize more taxes and buy votes!!

  • Anyone with a brain and a spine will say NO to this moronic *health care* fiasco.

  • You should have also said "Anyone with LOTS OF MONEY and also LOBBY MONEY should say no.....

  • cicsasus: too bad its mostly people with neither who are opposing it. How much do think pfizer and glaxosmithklein had to pay for all those senators?

  • The people they cite are not in Congress, lol

    They don't have a vote.

This ad makes the DNC and the President look stupid and desperate.

  • With NO PUBLIC OPTION and huge FINES if you don't give money to greedy insurance companies = I hope it fails. Give us the Kennedy bill, or HR676 instead.... what's so wrong with that?

What else did you expect from Republicons? I worked hard to get President Obama elected and even harder for this "insurance reform".... what I'm seeing for my efforts is disgusting. Fuck it, let's all die in the gutter together.

  • BS ad. It is all of their responsibilities to read and judge the health care bill. KNOW what is in it. KNOW what it means.

We cant just pass something just to pass something. Morons

  • Good, but bordering on "fasttalking" - like the medical disclaimers at the end of a drug ad.

  • So-so ad...could have been better.
