He is perfectly in key and great pitch. Like the other remaining contestants, he needs to stop swollowing words. Here he does it rarely but being the storyteller he is -- a great art in singing -- he needs to be consistently clear. Love this guys voice and presence! He has to be in the top four.

i wouldnt say his vocal is strong, its still weak compared to the other contestants. However his studio versions sound WAY better than his live performances. He's a very good recording artist!
I would have to agree but also to say that JC isn't about strong vocals. I liked this performance on the show. Thought it was a very good choice for him.
I don't vote though based on studio versions. How many takes do they get?
agree agree. *nodding vigorously*. he is too good for AI. he doesn't need the title. he'll get a record deal as soon as he's out of the show. and i'll buy his CD if they're all good and he doesn't change his style.

He is like Jack Johnson. He has a mellow voice, kind of like Colbie Cailat and Ingrid Michaelson

this was amazing, he doesnt have the strongest voice. but his style in singing doesn't need a strong voice. I think thats what makes him so unique.
