Ok the first clips were wrong and the others I loved. Cant believe people in first clips! Love people in last clips! Who was the guy with the herd of horses? He did an awesome job with them!
I don't want anyone to go Crazy on me but the people in the first clip should NOT be pulling the reins to hard. it can make things a bit complicated (sometimes). I know if that horses should be punished for what they have done , but not brutal kind of punishment (Im not saying the people in the 1 clip were doing it brutally). Then when you look at the second . video ,It make's you think,Wow,what a bueatiful thing to experiance:)The second clip is what REAL horseman ship looks like.Like if agree!
@Comet0321 Oh my goodness, stop trying to be so nice!! Lol. The people in the first part of this video were being very brutal. Youre very right. No one should EVER be pulling on the reins like that. It will always make things complicated cause youre putting a tremendous amount of pain on the horse, and pain creates fear and frustration. I agree, the second part of this vid shows true horsemanship.:)
@1029book Haha yeah and IM SO SORRY ! I was born this way :3. Horse's are bueatiful creature's that ever lived amoung us. Trust me If I knew some one who would do the same thing as the people in the first clip , They would get there but's kicked x)
Some horses need disapline, not brutality but disapline. Some horses know what they are doing is wrong, but it gets them out of work (Not all), of course there needs to be a balance of postive reinforcement and disapline
@1002Lollipop Yes, but the first video clips it's all punishment. The other parts have equal amounts of both. I agree with you that it can't be all love love and more love, but neither does it need to be like the first clips. :)
I really like your video. And your right.I don't have my own horse but i go to lessons, and i really want to try it out on the stable horses not becouse i might fail and it's fine only that those horses too need some natural horsemanship and love and understanding:)
Da sieht man´s mal wieder Horsemanship und Westernreiter sind einfach relaxter, als viele rausgetatakelten Spring und Dressurreiter. P.s Super aufnahmen, da kann bestimmt jeder von uns was lernen!!!
I strongly disagree with Allyfp, pulling the bit side to side in a horses mouth causes them great pain! It is banned at our ponyclub. This is a fantastic video, nothing means more to me than the love and trust between me and my horses <3
UM this is not horse abuse. Yes a little harsh but not abuse, this is disipline at it's worse and you have no right to say these people abuse these horses they love them so I please don't hate on me or think im being mean im just saying that it's a little unfair to judge us.

Hey, I think it's a great video. I bet those people at the beginning would be embarrassed if they could see themselves riding like that, they were disgusting.
just horrible, and yet so lovely too. So many people still believe the best way to get a horse to do stuff is to tie it down and use alot of metal.... Fools
All I can say 98% of people who beat there horses for what THEY actually did, are fucking bullshit MALE riders. Males cannot ride properly, they can go fuck themselves and find a real sport for men!!!!!!! Fuck em, nuff' said. Go ahead and badmouth me about the comment, cause I wont really give a fuck .
@gEtoVer1T1 I am a male rider and what you said is absolutely true, you hit the target right on, well said. Also I really have no taste for dressage, just the horse and the countryside for me. Good luck.

@UndaToka420 I wasnt talking about all off them. I said 98% of them, its true. Im just saying, it shows half of the riders on here that beat the horses, and alot on youtube are ALL male riders. Yes, I know there are some like you, but Im talking in general.
WOW! I wuld love a horse of my own so i culd try natural horsemanship but the only way i can spend time with horses is riding but i think i hav a bond wif most of da horses since ive known them all 4 five yrs. it wuld be absolutly amazing if i culd try natural horsemanship with them! :)
This video is AMAZING! It shows how beautiful natural horsemanship can be. I am so glad that you put up this video. I am sure that you have changed a lot of peoples paradigms on the subject of natural horsemanship! Keep up the great work!
i dont agree with violence towards a horse i like to treat them like the beauties that they are. i love natural training and gaining the horses trust is better than forcing it to except you. hope my theory will reflect in my young horse in years to come. love the video i think its fantastic the way people can encourage their horses to be that graceful without the need to beat them.
I get so angry when I se the stupid rider sdo this to their horse! I only wants to strangle the riders... The love to the horse it's the most important thing in the life!!
I really dont like such differentiation- natural horsemanship= good guys, sport = bad guys. I know that you wrote it was not your intention but actually this is what video suggest. And generally in my opinion there is nothing like natural horsemanship, there are just people knowing and loving horses and oposite, only some people make a lot of business and money by giving registered trademarks on training ways known ages ago- every person has a choice what to do with own horse and life.
Just wondering why you have called this video "natural horsemanship". What I know Pignon is from circus, Hempfling has very different and very own way how to approach horses, Westfall was doing western in her own way never learned from "natural horsemanship" teacher, only Blaha learned from Parelli- which is for me "natural horsemanship mark", I do not know the woman in white. Every one of them has different way of training horses, what they have in common is the true connection with the horse.
if i had been there in the beggining, those people wouldnt have heads. i practice natural horsemanship, and i wouldve gone off on those people. thats not okay.
Dude the people in the beginning really pissed me off!! I wish i was there to slap them off their horses!!! It really put me in a bad mood!! And then you put lion king music on and nice people with horses and i was lik "aaaahh" lol

This video is amazing and really spoke to me and told me to stop being so all about riding , i barely ever ride i dont anymore own my own horses and i wish i could of forced a better realtionship with my horses
Its funny because everyone says im awsome at riding where i ride... Its because i respect the horse.. I dont yell and smack it if it does something wrong
i would love to get my hands on the first riders in the video and use them to knock their teeth out. oh my God forgive me,but some of your kids are creeps!!!!
I Love Jean François Pignon's work, because he is really a part of the tribe. He's one of the horses and that's what the horses treats him like, the leader horse :D
Shivers through the whole thing. First because I hate the way people treat the horses, no one should force horses to do something they don't want to. And then because it is so beautiful. One day I'm going to buy a foal and work with it from day 1 and we'll become something beautiful together. =D
Seeing natural horsemanship makes my heart swell with happiness. Those who beat those horses and force them, those horses misbehave because they don't enjoy it. they don't like it. it makes me want to jump into those rings and stop those people. A horse can enjoy that, a horse will do what you ask, you just have to ask kindly with a good heart.
I agree with you but there is nothing bad with riding with a saddle and a bridle and bit. These people who were cruel where stupid they don't know how to ride. Why do they refuse. If I were there I would yell at them saying ' the horse doesn't know why it's being punished! the horse is refusing coz your pulling and whipping at once. and you go towads the fence you're pulling which makes the horse not understand!!!!'. But your vid is amazing I loved it.
I really like this video. The beginning makes you want to cry. And the reast almost makes you cry of joy. I saw Pignon in the Globe, in Stockholm, Sweden a couple of years ago, and it was absolutely amazing. For several minutes I was hoping it wasn´t ending soon.. And when he was done the whole arena was standing and applauding for several mintues. And before he started Pignon had said he wasn`t sure we would like it.. What he has with his horses, I want when I get a horse.
i really dont like those things in they`re mouth. HORSES ARE NOT OBJECTS, OR TOYS, THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIRE OWNE LIFE, like every living creature in nature.
Some people can be so cruel.I remember at my old riding school,a horse would spook at something, and they'd get the beating of their life...That's the main reason i left..:/ I moved about a year ago,and Im so happy i did.the ppl here are so nice to the horses. I do loads of natural horsemanship with my pony, lilly.I love join up, and she's following me over jumps now, without a halter or leadrope. She's going a lot better when i ride her too:)I think more ppl should do natural horsemanship.
I wanted to kill something at the beginning! I've seen somebody do that to there horse, I started crying, I can't stand, I've been working on natural horseman ship myself, It is so amazing! This video is AMAZING!
wow, this is realy sad. and emotioal gorg video, i CANT belive how people can be so mean to their horses :(. these animals are always helping us and their loyal if your nice back. its so incredible. but its sad how people can be so mean. this is a REALY gorg video.
wow it really shows what some people can do with their horses and i personally think it is amazing to watch, i would love to b able to do that!!!!!!!!
i love this video!!! the man in whit the white shirt in the maddow and whit the light borwne horse that horse is sooo relaxed he's just eating while laying down (:
I don't believe whipping is bad, sometimes you have to because one of the MOST important things about horsemen ship is, respect from both sides. Because there is no such as positive reinforcement when the horse is rearing up with a little kid on it's back. Just saying...
@Cim963 No, the mares respect the stallion as the less dominate mares respect the lead mare. Omegas respect the alphas and in turn all can work together. I just prefer the word respect over dominance.
the first few clips are worrying! :( some many people hit horses when things go wrong,. and as the last person below me said,.. positive reinforcement! :) and a lot of time, love and paitents are diffinately the key! :D (sorry for spelling)
Wow, those first clips really go to show that some of the worst treated, worst ridden horses are those in the show arena. So many people have this mentality that it's "the horse's fault" and think the best way to correct is to punish. You don't train dogs by beating them, you don't train horses by beating them either. Positive reinforcement and baby steps are the key. These performance horses would do much better with gentler handling. Great video.
omg the videos at the start were horrible! No wonder the horse didnt know what to do (on clip 0:45 or 0:46 ) the rider keep pulling the reins both ways! And at 0:42 she totally deserved to fall off! I hate how some people treat there horses!
wow those clips in the beggining were horrible poor horsies :( and at 0:42 she totally deserved it! i want to be the best person i can to the horse i ride do u have any tips on this????
Here's the thing. The people in the beginning, I'll tell you most of them aren't "abusing" their horses...to THEM, that is what has worked. They do not see it as bad or cruel, they see it as affective. And natural horsemanship is not necessarily expensive. It is a lie to say a carrot stick or rope halter are needed. I bought a $20 rope sidepull to ride in, and I use otherwise just various things and a carrot stick couldn't be less uneeded, as for one of those joy balls? It's called by a cheap,
Love this video! amazyng! I do Natural Horsemaship with my horse. Natural Horsemanship is so great, beacouse then horse and owner conect's more close.
Yeah i completely agree. I just watched another video saying how bits and other equipment are bad.. and basically saying there is no other way... when they probably dont even know they were trained. i have been aroun d so many riders like in the beginning of this movie, and the one that fell off...HA! I HATE it when riders correct by killing the horses mouth and matking it hard. which is why they run off and riders cant stop them. they make the horses act like that. which is why they buck/refuse

I like this video and I love to see the results of natural horsemanship but must also agree somewhat with the point about natural horsemanship trainers being so expensive! I love the work they do but there is no affordable or free help in this sphere - all the vids on here showing the results of natural horsemanship are fantastic but there is none or very few instructional ones that actually help you to practice it yourself without shelling out hundreds of pounds on instruction and equipment!!
Horse racing is an awful sport. its bad for the horses and mostly about gambling. REAL horse riding isn't about competition. It's about learning new skills, having fun, and establishing a relationship w your horse. Yes, bridles are nessacary for some horses and riders but you don't need five bits.. and to b whipping the crap outta a horse some people hav lost site of what its about. Not competing but having fun and loving horses.
An awful lot has to change in the world of horses. Horses that are seen as being difficult and problematic are usually the ones who strongly dissaprove of their handler and extreme strap work . Unfortunately, this is true of most equestrian disciplines. Contessaan, I like your wake-up video!
Ok the first clips were wrong and the others I loved. Cant believe people in first clips! Love people in last clips! Who was the guy with the herd of horses? He did an awesome job with them!
Check123107 2 days ago
What's with the idiot in the first part, he'd actually leaning against the horses mouth and gagging it then jerking his reins around.
And I was like "GO HORSE" when that girl whipped it and then it's like "actually, I don't think I'll be going over this jump.
And that guy with the herd of horses on the beach was incredible!

the riders are being so cruel, i know that many people use a crop, but does it have to be so hard? and do they have to be so rough with their mouths?

I Love Jean François Pignon's work, because he is really a part of the tribe. He's one of the horses and that's what the horses treats him like, the leader horse :D
Andeerzzon 7 months ago

BambiiChanOKawaii 8 months ago
i really dont like those things in they`re mouth. HORSES ARE NOT OBJECTS, OR TOYS, THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIRE OWNE LIFE, like every living creature in nature.
ALL4LOVE2009 8 months ago
Some people can be so cruel.I remember at my old riding school,a horse would spook at something, and they'd get the beating of their life...That's the main reason i left..:/ I moved about a year ago,and Im so happy i did.the ppl here are so nice to the horses. I do loads of natural horsemanship with my pony, lilly.I love join up, and she's following me over jumps now, without a halter or leadrope. She's going a lot better when i ride her too:)I think more ppl should do natural horsemanship.

I don't believe whipping is bad, sometimes you have to because one of the MOST important things about horsemen ship is, respect from both sides. Because there is no such as positive reinforcement when the horse is rearing up with a little kid on it's back. Just saying...
feralfable 9 months ago
@feralfable Respect is something humans made up so that they could have a reason for their actions ;)
Cim963 8 months ago
@Cim963 No, the mares respect the stallion as the less dominate mares respect the lead mare. Omegas respect the alphas and in turn all can work together. I just prefer the word respect over dominance.

the first few clips are worrying! :( some many people hit horses when things go wrong,. and as the last person below me said,.. positive reinforcement! :) and a lot of time, love and paitents are diffinately the key! :D (sorry for spelling)
BSVmaid1991 10 months ago
Wow, those first clips really go to show that some of the worst treated, worst ridden horses are those in the show arena. So many people have this mentality that it's "the horse's fault" and think the best way to correct is to punish. You don't train dogs by beating them, you don't train horses by beating them either. Positive reinforcement and baby steps are the key. These performance horses would do much better with gentler handling. Great video.

I love the work they do but there is no affordable or free help in this sphere - all the vids on here showing the results of natural horsemanship are fantastic but there is none or very few instructional ones that actually help you to practice it yourself without shelling out hundreds of pounds on instruction and equipment!!
cstanton100 1 year ago
Very good vid! I know that it is hard to change the traditional horsepeople, but I feel that natural horsemanship is progressing strong! Happy Trail
