  • marie osmond is beautiful mmmmmmmmmmm

  • [Donny:]

And you and I are just like they

For all we know our love is just a kiss away

.... This song just got so much creepier for me in my adulthood because they are brother and sister...

"Cause he lived on the incest side of the mountain.. and she lived on the inbred side of the hill..."

  • @TheHorrorFanGirl They weren't singing to each other, though.

  • I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for Donny Osmond and his handling of fame, and I've always LOVED his gorgeous younger sister!

  • A hit in 1974 and I still love this song. Thanks Osmondgal. 20111119@10.29am Taipei City.

  • There was a girl, there was a boy, if they had met they would have crawled into the backseat of Dad's Rambler on a Saturday night, gotten drunk on a stolen half-bottle of Jack, and awkwardly plowed the rut like inept, occasionally hesitant rabbits. She gets knocked up, they get married in the back yard, both get by-the-hour shit jobs for life, move into a rusty, battered singlewide in a local seedy trailer park, and continue to breed several more times, living in wretched poverty until death.

  • I liked this song even before I knew the Osmonds were Mormons. But now my thoughts are, no matter your faith or the Osmond's faith, this music is much better than so many music of today..

  • im sure, they did IT

  • memoires.. thanks for this meldy

  • What a wonderful time in our lives!! Broke my heart to hear Donny talk of all the pain he endured during his career..So glad he came full circle and realized that the ones who loved him in the beginning are the ones who love him still, after all these years :)

  • i love this song they did alot of cover versions in thier special way and after 100 years they still look good

  • Pure bubblegum music that I grew up on.

  • How could ya not love this ?!

  • you have to love this music , no matter what some people say

  • Where, oh, where has all of the clean, decent, quality entertainment gone? Seems very rare to find these days. These two were always class acts.

  • @markandcarol1 its called music.

  • @osmondgal I love this song very much, thanks for sharing......Love Donny and Marie..... God bless them...

  • @markandcarol1 why don't you go listen to some Allanis Morrissette and Beyonce & have another hit off the crack pipe?

  • I must admit I was more of a Led Zep/deep purple fan in the '70's but my best mate in high school adored them. The Osmonds was all she talked about...for a long time!! I didn't dislike them but was more into rock. Thanks to the Tube many years later, its like I have started really appreciating their refreshing songs. And yes, I do recall they were pretty good role models. Thumbs up to them.

  • maria r cute mmmmmmm

  • Ah, the age of innocence of Donny & Marie! This has always been a favorite of mine from their first LP in 1975, when I wasn't even a teenager just yet. Amazing how many years later when you haven't heard this song, that you can still remember the words (without looking at them above in the description box). Still a wonderful and pure song sung by them, and what an absolutely beautiful video.

  • i was so poor, never heard of it until now.yep

  • IT REMINDED ME OF THE GOOD OLD DAY WHEN I WAS TWELVE

  • Donny and Olive Marie always sounded great together, right, gang? God bless!

  • Couldn't one of them move to the other side of the mountain?

  • @tryithere That's what I was thinkin'!

  • maria osmond is cute

  • love love love this song so much!!! songs of the 70s and 80s are the best!

  • Soooooo love this song. Brilliant, beautiful and great to listen to.

  • Oh the fantastic seventies......This is a beautiful song, had a lot of time for The Osmonds, they made some great songs..Marie was stunning as well...takes me back to my High School days....thank you for posting osmondgal

  • great memories

  • Billboard's #73 song for '75. Donny and Marie hit #1 AC, #8 pop. God bless! Who's the 1 dislikeer?

  • Lovethissong<3

  • The song is soooo hick !

  • Donny Osmond and his born again bisexual sister Marie used to offer to "teabag"their fans when they would throw pennys at them while they sang and danced.

  • Of all the stupid things, it makes me think of Fulton County, Pennsylvania. Seems I recall driving through there, heard this song and thought of Pennsylvania lovers. Too much time in the car LOL!!

  • This song is about a older man who loved a younger woman. They make it sound like geography and not time. And for Donny and Marie to sing this as a duet is either creepy or incestious.

  • @john9944 You're full of crap.

  • @john9944 You're full of crap.

  • @john9944 You don't know what you're talking about. I will also say you have verbal diarrhoea.

  • I played this song for one of my past girlfriends 15 years ago. She said she loved me forever for the one and only time. She died later that night.

  • They were my idols in the 70's, this song was my girlfriend's and mine, I was 15 years old when this song came up on the radio in 1975 in El Salvador. Now I live in Australia and all have is memories..............Love this song!

  • This is a great song ....you can actually hear Donny young voice in Marie at this stage in her life.

My Favorite is When the Deep Purple Falls

  • This of many of my favorites. vilmad007 I wanted 2 look like Marie, did what I could 2 get my hair & make up 2 look like hers-never cud. Wantd 2 marry Donny--closest I got 2 him wz going 2 the Osmond concert & winning a contest 4 a free phone call frm him, but missed: wasn't home at the time. So many songs of theirs I love till this day. From childhood years till many years later still get laughed at for my love for them but hey who could care less--they're the best & always will.

  • family guy clip( donny and marie in bed> donny says " mom should never know about this" > lol

  • wow I love this song so many year ago.

    had the biggest crush Donny.

but also loved Marie singing voice.

She sure has been threw a lot in her life.

  • I loved Marie and wanted to marry her that I was willing to give up Folger's at the request of the Osmond clan. I'd walk hand and hand with her to the very top of The Morningside Of The Mountain and propose to her while she sang this song and then she'd push me off. "Please Where's Toto?", Are we in Kansas?

  • These are FLAWLESS vocal performances, folks.

  • I would like to see this song with lyric

  • @auddy1995 The lyrics are in the description box.. :P

  • Donny and Marie were not good vocalists ... they were GREAT vocalists.

  • i love the song and the pictures!

  • I always had a crush on this womans smile. In the 70's watching the Jackson's, we sometimes look at the osmonds, when they came on tv. This white woman has one of the prettiest smiles i ever seen. I thought Farrah had a nice smile, but she was very tooth-e. To this day at Marie's age, I look at her smile. Why didn't she do a tooth paste commercial? I'm sure it would've sold.

  • it is a great song.

  • que recuerdos me trae esta cancion .espero seguirla escuchando por mucho tiempo

  • They've got it backwards. She was on the morning, being younger, he on the twilight, being older. Listen to Tommy Edwards version, the original.

  • Takes me back to my childhood

  • Esta es mi cancion favorita de Donnie y Marie, me regresa a mi edad de 15 anyos en 1975......yo queria ser Donnie y cantar con Marie....jajajajajaj....que tiempos los 70's

  • @nutballgazette haha.. aww... She's single though.. ;D

  • Oh I remember hating Marie because I wanted to be Donny's sister - mind you I was 11 at the time. Great song and great memories!

  • This is my alltime favourite Donny and Marie song. I remember back then I wanted to look like Marie Osmond and I wanted to marry Donny Osmond. I also wanted to be Mormon like them. Both have not lost their good looks and charm through the years as evidenced by their appearance on "Dancing with the Stars". Will always love them and listen to my old records of two of the greatest people in the show business.

  • I yi yi

  • @vilmad007 they did not lose their looks donnie looks great for his age and marie just lost weight and looks amazing.

  • I did not say they had lost their good looks and charm. Please read my message again.

    stress.

  • such a beautiful song thanks for allowing me to remember it

  • Beautiful

    Thank you.

  • This song always takes me back to the 70s when I wanted to be Marie Osmond. I have always loved the Osmond family and think they are the perfect family and a role model to all of us.

  • i agree... i wished i was marie and have a great family like hers... i think they are the best family ever... i'm very grateful for wat Olive May Davis and George Virl Osmond Sr. done...sigh...

  • This song reflects the times of my youth in 1975, I'm 49 now and feel like crying knowing how happy I was when in the 70's, I also used to dress up like Donnie, this is my favourite from Donnie & Marie....THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!

  • Hi,I just read your comment and I feel the same. Takes me back to my youth and how happy I was to dress up like Marie Osmond and sing the Osmond hits. I want to cry too for lost youth and the innocence that the Osmonds reflected in their songs

  • You're absolutely right, I used to enjoy dressing up like Marie Osmond until my mother told me that I was a boy and I didn't have the legs to look good in a mini skirt!

  • im 46 still got good legs
