I know that bostons don't do well in hot climates but i live in california. Would a boston be okay?

If it is going to stay inside a lot and you monitor its activity when it is outside during the summer time, should be fine. I live in Alabama and mine does just fine, I just can't take her to the dog park during the summer because she has no off button and would kill herself.

@fiveinfrance During the summer, keep a bucket of water for it to sit in. Some Bostons love it! This one live in California and does fine.

You can have a Boston anywhere. They really should be inside dogs especially in hot climates. I live in Texas (the southern part) where is it unbearable in the summer. Like the other poster mentioned you have to monitor them. Can't leave them out and can't let them romp in the heat.

You really should get one. You won't regret it I am sure.
