Ah yes. It's definately challenging to eat healthy w/ Chinese cuisine. Will u also include other TCM therapies like cupping, accupuncture, and tea later on?
Great vid. The traditional chinese medicine "plan" sounds so interesing. My Job is taking me to China (beijing mostly, but feild visits to Nanchang and Jiujiang) for 3 weeks. and Im soooo excited.
so what are those unhealthy chinese dishes I should stay away from ??... I dunno lol I just assumed traditional chinese cooking would have been pretty healthy lol.
I'm so glad you are coming to China! TCM doesn't have it's own "cooking style" but it basically incorporates all the healthy foods (= fruits, veggies, raw foods, etc)
the oily dishes are: jiachang doufu (namely), but oil is used all the time and copiously. you should ask for no MSG and less oil. :-)
Nice to meet You! I am excited about this season. I just started my journey here on you tube! I have heard that you can actually get your fat massage and it will start to break down a little. LOL!
Great video Natalie. I am so excited to learn more about your Chinese weightloss plan. That is such a neat difference from what we're used to in North America.
I am a victim of graduate school weight gain. If I was going to do it again, I'd try harder to fit exercise into my life because that is part of the balanced life. Now and for the first of my life.
love the refocus vs distraction!! im going to try that....distraction hasn't worked out so well!! love your vids!! (and when you throw in some chinese! =))
Don't forget - you can be successful in running just by COMPLETING a marathon or half-marathon. Don't think you need to go all-or-nothing with exercise.
That is VERY true. You can definitely have exercise in your life as well as study hard. the running schedules that are involved in running this marathon are very challenging. I haven't a confident handle on my classes yet and i need to see how much time i can dedicate to it :) thanks for your input tho! i often get caught in the "all or nothing" predicament! xoxo <3 keep it real!
hiya! I'm in china studying!! I learned chinese the good ol' hard way-- went to class and studied hard! It's been 4 years since that first class and it still excites me!
I looooooove china! It's wildly interesting and different from my home and thats why i like it so much. There's lots to learn and the language is equally as challenging!
also, there are a lot of good study programs over here!
Pleasure to "meet" you, fellow WLL :) Where in China are you living? My husband's family is Chinese (but they all relocated to Taiwan) and he's a first generation Chinese-American. I love your approach to weight loss, how cool :)
Going from ohio to China?? it wasn't that hard. I just wouldn't take 'no' as an answer! I think if you put your mind to it-- you can go anywhere and do anything. it's a feat in just believing in yourself! **soo cheesy, i know but that's all i got for ya ** :o)
Asia is so crazy aye?! Absolutely mad. I have been doing the same thing, acupuncture and bath houses. It works for sure. I've realised there is a reason as to why there are hardly any overweight Koreans, its that hot spa, hot and cold foods internal metabolism thing! They have it down. I have found that no matter how skinny I get here, I still feel overweight in comparison!! But have learned to get over that slowly.
haha, i like the eating clean, deal! It totally makes me feel awesome!!! how is the korean food? I went out for korean tonight. i had the kimchi soup. SOOO delicious and very healthy. I'm so glad i can find healthy stuff around my neighborhood.
omg you dont look 180. you look 140. i love you
