You forgot he was World Champion in 2003, and that he was 3rd in the drivers championship last year, of course, with loeb winning everything, its hard to be on top, but you surely can't rule Petter out completely

yeah i know he won.. thats the only good thing he ever did :) im from norway so ive kinda kept up and he looses alot and blames it on the car (when he was on subaru)

now he has his own team called petter solberg racing or something like that and does ads for poker websites to make money :L

Crashes are a part of Motorsport, if you don't crash you aren't human, even Loeb crashed a couple times over his 7 years of being invincible. Those ads you talk about won't make him a living though he only gets a percentage of the revenue produced by those ads. The rest of it goes to google and the site itself

It was a shakedown stage- recce before the actual start of the rally. Somehow they got that car fully repaired but it made no difference because the engine gave up in the rally

yes he does, however i dont think it´s his faulght...in 2003 he proved to us all that he is a good driver, but I think that all the harddays in Subaru with aswell technical errors as driver mistakes sank his selfconfidence a bit

It's when he can't get the car to go any faster than he overdrives and makes mistakes...when the car is perfect, he doesn't and Sardinia 2004 was an example of that

The new Subaru isn't due to appear until 2009! Subaru have to use the S12 again next year :(

they might be able to use the 2009 sti except w/ s12 body.... or they might just slip the ej257 in the wrx chassis.... or they might stay with the s12 and save som $...... i dont think anyone can really say much about the new sti... no one has driven it really. I would like to see the GTR as a rally car, that would be very impressive!

Though the Hatchback doesn't look as cool as the older models. I think that it has potential. I mean have a look a the Citroen, Ford Focus and Renault driving at the moment.

From what I've seen is that it provides a better handling and in a Rally you don't the shorter chassis should have it's benefits in curves and when drifting.
