Hey guys, i'm a 16 year old dubstep/electro producer from the UK, give me a few seconds of your time and listen to my tracks, if you like skrillex, datsik, porter robinson or anything like that, you'll like my stuff, also subscribe to my channel, when i reach 100 subscribers i will start doing tutorials for sounds anybody wants to hear or request sounds and ill do a tutorial for them, please check me out, music has been my life since i was 7 years old <3
wow this worked wonders....dude your a fuckin god send! was able to translate to ableton simple enough. Just put an EQ8 on a return track, add a little distortion, and send my bass to the return. Ryan you make it so simple!! ha thanks again...
I need to get a distorted, somewhat electro bass for a song Im working on, and I want it similar to Coldplay's "Paradise" /watch?v=J6ZWlDks0nQ it comes in at 0:35 I tried using the DJ Klass tutorial and it produced a somewhat close sound but is there any way I can get the Paradise sound with Massive?
@sqyttles yeah cus if ableton doesnt have that flexibility it cant compete with logic or pro-tools in production. sequencing and audio warping goes to ableton though and its not like you can dj with logic... im having trouble getting a cracked version though (mac)
Hey Ryan! Do you have any idea why NI Massive sometimes keeps changing the way my bassline sounds even though no parameter was changed? For example if I have it play the same note over and over again sometimes the sound changes all of the sudden for no reason...it's the exact same note. And then it sometimes jumps back to what it sounded like before. I can also see the wave change on the monitor. This doesn't always happen but it just did when I was trying to make a distorted bassline.
interesting, i use a similar technique when giving my baselines bite. i send the sound to a bus, and on the bus add an EQ, roll off 1000hz of the low end, boost the high, add a distortion (usually a bitcrusher personally) and also add a sample delay setting each channel to different times, to add a little dynamic and movement.
I find it works particularly well on square-wave sounds.
Great Idea.... The only thing is i'm bad enough as it with a billion confusing channels. I hate to see what the mixer looks like after a good set of bass mid and high sythns and drums come into play...
it seems like you have endless programs for production, distortion, etc from what i've seen of your videos..... how much have you invested in your programs?
I had to lol so hard when I got to the middle of the video. Didn't we have a discussion on Facebook about plugins and all? "The sausage fattener by dada life is quite a tool." - "If you want to overdo it, yeah...." Oh and look what he uses! Good that you checked it out anyways (:
great sound mate! nice nice. i usually mix with parallel compression (for synths and drums) pretty great results using the similar technique you're doing here. groovy times!
@yakzach Wow...If I were you, I would remove this retarded comment off youtube so you don't look like a troll further more. Your comment (if not) is one of the most EPIC fail comments ever made on this channel. Congrats :D
@nzmusic101 its starting to affect my cpu speed after 5 or 6 busses. with parallel processing on the drums and fx that comes quick. i dont like re-sampling...
wow, so tricky. not...

How would this translate to an Ableton live user? We can bus tracks but I'm not sure if we can send to buses. (We can send to return channels.)
