I love (sarcasm) how anytime there's a girl on a video she's sexualized. When Shawn is talking to a male employee, everyone comments on how talented they are, or about their skills, etc....
When there's a female employee on screen, it's always "She's cute" "I'd hit that" (yes, that was a real comment!) and other comments about their physical appearance.
This is pervasive in our culture and it's really offensive. Grow up and treat women as equals.

We even see it in the presidential arena...when it's a male candidate, we talk about their policies, their competence, etc...when it's a female (Hilary, Palin, etc) we talk about their looks, how they dress, etc..

Shawn, I think you should do a self interview. I know it's been done years ago, and there's bits and pieces throughout your vids, but a good solid history of Shawn + BTP would be great. Maybe do it after you move to the new studio, then the video could be a tribute to a milestone in your career.
Oh, and have a cardboard cut-out Shawn sitting next to you :P If it interrupts you during the interview, the world will implode.

Shawn. I'm a avid follower of the btp videos. Like the style, like the studio, like your presentation and on air persona. But in this 8 Minute Interview, you talked easy 5-6 Minutes yourself - that included your voice-over action, while she was telling a story. Very impolite. A good interviewer should know when to ask questions and when to listen...and should not bring own anecdotes into the dialog.
@Symmos I couldn't agree more. I am working on the interrupting thing. It is a personal flaw. That said, just before this interview, Shannon was hesitant to go on at all. I promised her I would "carry" the interview and not let her flounder.
@bluetablepainting Hey Shawn, In most interviews there are natural lulls and slow points. Sometimes there is even the occasional flounder or flub. The great thing about that is that you can edit out those things out. It is hard to get out of this what was intended. I appreciate the fact that you say it is a personal flaw, we all have them. It takes a big man to admit it and even bigger to own it and work on it. Thanks for posting videos and providing inspiration to so many. Keep on keeping on!
