It is true, however, that Adam's choice, his taintedness was passed down through the bloodline to you and me. This may seem unfair, but if it hadn't been Adam, it would have been the next guy. If it wasn't the next guy, it would have been the next next guy, etc...Man-kind was created with a will, a will to choose between right and wrong. Many Christians will say that "we are being punished for the sins of Adam" but that's inaccurate. Adam was punished for his own sins, just as I'm punished for mine, and you are punished for yours. When people say "we are being punished for the sins of the forefather" they really mean "we are being punished for making the same choice our forefather did.

Four common sense reasons why I think there is no god; A) Total absence from the natural world. No sign of a god, before, during or after, natural disastres B) The absolute absence of favoritism towards believers.  Even chruches need lightning-rods to protect them from god. C) The absence of any reaction, when crimes are committed in his name. D) The suffering of the innocent. One could accept that the guilty must suffer, but children ???

@tallliza There are signs of God everywhere, you say you would believe if you just saw but you wouldnt, you dont believe now because you do not want to, not because there is no proof, it is all around you now. Humans have the ability to choose or reject him at our will, he made us with this choice, which is why he doesnt strike us down the instant we do something. He was just looking for a lame reason, to send all of humanity to the garbage. And then for the sin of those two, he punishes all of mankind. @EXALTEDDIRT Human justice has a scale of crimes and a corresponding scale of punishments, with eventually mitigating circumstances. good behavior, parole etc. This LOVING heavenly judge has only one punishment. If you are a petty non-repentant thief, or a non-repentant rapist , they all go in the same pot HELL. But if you are a repentant mass-murderer, you are a candidate for heaven. This is called DIVINE justice. Hahahahahaha

If you were able to do these acts of God as an unregenerate, GOD-hating, and evil person, your motive would be nothing but vindictive, self-centered, and malevolent!

In context concerning the verse to which you were referring to in 1st Corinthians chapter 13, it means in context; "not to keep any record of wrongs received directly towards yourself" In other words: Godly biblical Love does not defend itself because it is not selfish or self-centered.(Satanic). But concerning judgment, the bible says the Father has given all judgment to the son and the son defends GOD's justice; "3in1"

I don't totally agree with this. I think that if we glorify God out of duty it is cheap and incomplete. The only way to give God the glory He deserves is by delighting in Him. As John Piper says "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."....If we are going to glorify God to the fullest we must fight for joy in God. Not joy in the gifts God gives, but joy in God Himself.

I agree with you. Completely! I know that apart from Christ, I can do nothing. I meant that I have trouble keeping my focus on Christ instead of myself - seeking Christ out of love for Him instead of doing it simply because I should, because it's good for ME.
