  • I have Ninja: The Shadow Warrior

  • Lol oh so now i know why antony cummins is jealous!!!

  • hey scott you bothering buying Shinobi Soldiers by Cummins to review? yey / ney?

  • @dkrto buying, no. getting a copy to review, yes should be here in a couple days.

  • @scottbaioisdead nice, let me know what you think

  • @MarvelmeetsManga

"you're wrong" doesn't show up in any of my posts on this video....

next time i ask you to quote me, actually do it or dont waste my time.

i admitted the correction of something i wasn't sure on... and dean ignored that he is dead wrong on c14...

  • @Arteanor typical accuracy ± 400 years, and a maximum range of 40,000 years Taylor (1987), Radiocarbon Dating now shut the fuck up. so you haven't seen the togakure ryu scroll but you know theres specific taijutsu? i know why it's there and i even discussed it in the video, if you knew about martial arts you'd be able to understand.

  • @scottbaioisdead , radiocarbon dating is a universal dating technique that can be applied anywhere in the world. It is good for dating for the last 50,000 years to about 400 years ago Canadian Parks Archaelogical Service.

  • @scottbaioisdead

how clever of you to diverge from the topic, we are discussing minimums, not maximums.

The relative precision of the OCRDATE estimate is statically linear. The estimated

error for the OCRDATE estimate is roughly 3%. For a recent sample from a fire 100

years ago, the expected precision of the OCRDATE estimate is + three years, whereas the precision for a sample 10,000 years old is + 300 years.

    continued.

  • @scottbaioisdead

learn to read, newer date, throw out your outdated info,

typical accuracy THEN... as opposed to NOW.,...

    admission yet?

  • The greater precision afforded by the OCRDATE estimate on recent samples makes the OCR procedure a more appropriate dating technique for use on late Native and early European American sites."

d frink, read em and weep. North American Archaeologist V15(1)17-29,1994

admission yet? or are you still going to keep your fingers in your ears yelling "LALALALALALALA" ???

another thing, you DO get props for allowing allowing and leaving comments that call you out, especially when they are right.

  • @MarvelmeetsManga

excuse me, but you seem to have seen something i missed, where did i get proven wrong?

i would really like to know. go ahead, just quote me , and correct it. i fucking dare you.

  • @MarvelmeetsManga he's a child with no martial arts training, no knowledge of japan or the japanese language and no knowledge of the books he's using as references, he can't even spell watatani kiyoshi's name right. he's never seen a copy of the bugei ryu-ha daijiten, though the book he's actually referencing has a different title but you'd have to be able to read japanese to know that, fapping to the dudes on bullshido won't give you enough knowledge to understand it.

  • Bought the book, by the way. It truly is amazing. The inside of the front cover alone dispels a lot of ninja rumors and myths. The book also describes the relations (and none relations) to modern, stereotypical martial arts like Karate.

  • Fuck you and your Bow tie Douche bag. I would stuff it down your skinny throat bitch.

  • @DanBowenTV Lol I seriously thought you were 12 or in the closet when I read that. I really hope you weren't serious when you bothered to write a paragraph making yourself look like the most insecure, homo red neck on the planet.

  • @wachaninja7 Stopped by your channel and it fucking sucks. fuck you and the cock you rode in on bitch boyi.

  • @wachaninja7

dan bowen WAS banned for sexually harassing 15 year old boys on his old channel "SacredFireDojoShow"....

he does seem to have a fascination with homosexuals doesnt he? its most entertaining to invite him to flame you.... he will stay at it for hours, and all the while will tell you to train more...

  • @scottbaioisdead- Like I said it doesn't make sense! He is a PhD. Are you aware of what it takes to get a Doctorate in any field? Part of it is to have your work evaluate by your peers. To also be able to argue you case with real evidence. To say this my belief, I don't have to show you proof and if you don't agree then screw you?

Someone is either living in a fantasy world, hiding something, doesn't have enough or any new evidence or just in denial.

  • @jwills79 he's saying he has the proof but he's not going to get into a public argument about it, people can go to him and he'll prove it but he won't post it publicly. it's the same stance hatsumi has and thats exactly why he took it, soke shows densho to anyone who wants to evaluate them, but they must do it in front of him at his location.

  • @scottbaioisdead- If he really has authentic proof why doesn't he just write a book about it and let it be scrutinize by his peers like someone with Doctorate usually does?

  • @scottbaioisdead- In the forward you describe he didn't say he has proof that Togakure Ryu is authentic. He basically said he didn't want to argue about it and he believes his research. The book doesn't have any evidence that Togakure ryu is authentic but he includes Togakure Ryu in with the other information he gathered to make this book. You seem to be reading too much into this. Only seeing what you want to see.

  • @jwills79 not really since I read the book and know that he has gon e over the edo period togakure ryu scrolls, but I've known this for a few years and I know people who have done the same thing and know kacem so its nothing new to me its just written down now

  • @scottbaioisdead

    well isnt that great...

another person who says they have gone over the "edo period scrolls"... have we had anyone independent do it? how about scientific testing? do we have any proof that togakure ryu wasnt added to the bottom of the, i believe you said, gyokko ryu scroll?

too bad we still havent seen this scroll, or had it examined by someone who didnt have a heavily vested interest in its legitimacy...

were you gonna answer the questions i raised previously?

  • @Arteanor so nawa yumio, okuse heishichiro, koyama ryutaro, hino akira don't count?

  • @scottbaioisdead

"nawa yumio, okuse heishichiro, koyama ryutaro, hino akira" i wasnt aware that any of these men could do radiometric dating by eye....

you are ignoring the part of my question that you cannot answer without acknowledging my entire point. who has done testing?

and did you just try to use okuse heishichiro as a source? isnt he the guy who said that fujita really knew iga ryu not koka, and that it was a secret, but that fujita also taught him the "iga-ryu" he knew?

  • @Arteanor actually okuse never claimed to know ninjutsu and his only interaction with fujita was when he saw fujita eating glass and sticking needles through his skin and he said "this is ninjutsu?" And walked out. Your story sounds like a lie from kazuo saito. Can you name the koryu that hav their scrolls dated? That's not standard procedure. But you said something stupid that proves you know nothing about makimono and shouldn't be in this conversation

  • @scottbaioisdead

how about scientific testing? do we have any proof that togakure ryu wasnt added to the bottom of the scroll?

you want to use the densho as PROOF of a ninjutsu lineage, then it really should be as concrete as any other scientific data... and subjected to the same scrutiny, and if it doesnt hold up to that scrutiny, would that tell you something?

you also didnt answer me on your strawman video... seems like you are somehow unable to...

  • @Arteanor "how do we know togakure ryu wasn't added to the bottom of the scroll" thank you for proving you're a troll who knows nothing about makimono. You don't know how scrolls are constructed or even how radiometric dating works, head back over to bullshido where you belong with the other people with no knowledge of japan crying about ninjutsu

  • @scottbaioisdead

since we have never seen the scroll i cannot make the assumption that it is in mint condition. it IS supposed to be edo period.

but thats cool man, dismissal without answering kind of shows you don't have anything else to pull on to shut me up...

and then you continue and project a lack of knowledge on ME? because YOU cant prove your schools claims?

can you give a reason why the scrolls cannot leave hatsumi's possession beyond preventing that test?

  • 1 @Arteanor lets play your game and show how little you know. why wasn't radiometric dating performed on the scroll? because no scrolls in japan have been radiometrically dated, the most accurate test for plant based materials like cotton clothes and paper has a margin of error of 400 years so any paper written could be koryu according to your test, the method used is character analysis since japanese was written in a totally different way at the time, which this scroll passed of course.

  • 2. "how do we know togakure ryu wasn't added to the bottom of the scroll." well for one adding to the end of a scroll wouldn't be adding to the bottom it would be adding to the left. the end of a scroll has a signature and a stamp and often the hand print of the author, adding on to the scroll would mean the person doing the addition would have to cut the scroll, find matching paper, attach it with no seam, copy the hand writing and style of the original author and move the signature and stamp.

  • 3 "why can't the scrolls leave soke's presence" why do they have to if he lets people view them? ask kunii zenya about what happened when the scrolls of kashima shinryu left his presence. they don't exist anymore, someone drove off with them. does that mean kashima shinryu isn't a koryu, you know since it doesn't have these scrolls, then again neither does daito ryu, or kukishin ryu or....you can head over to bullshido now and cry that the bujinkan people were mean to you

  • @scottbaioisdead

    3. yes, im sure that a science lab that handles archeological finds worth millions are interested stealing hatsumi's paper

and if "someone drove off with them" how can you assume they no longer exist?

the thing about kashima shinryu, daito ryu is that they aren't trying to rewrite the history, none of them is claiming things unsupported or contradicted by the record.

except takamatsu-den and its "ninpo taijutsu"

i dont even have a Bullshido acct, nice ad hominem

  • @Arteanor daito ryu isn't trying to rewrite history? it went from being founded 100 years ago to being founded 900 years ago. why do you bother trying to argue when you know absolutely nothing about japan it doesn't make sense. sure no bullshido account, ok head over to elitepvpers then

  • @scottbaioisdead

daito ryu is NOT the subject of contention here tho, its your schools claims to lineage from shinobi,

why do you continually try to divert from the topic at hand to something different,... and i dont see daito ryu claiming to be something it isn't...

like a martial art pretending to be ninjutsu...

i still haven't seen any historical evidence for ninjutsu even having a martial art component, why dont you shut me up with some evidence?

  • @scottbaioisdead

    2. really? hard to verify any of these things without some evidence...

someone saying they have seen it may be good enough for you... but i tend to find issue with densho that appeared AFTER takamatsu told the BRD that he recieved a kuden transmission....

funny how the story changed from kuden to densho... why didn't takamatsu either mention or show the densho to watatani kiyoshe, it would have done lots to prevent his opinion regarding the legitimacy...

  • @Arteanor so you can read japanese now and you know exactly what it says in the bugei ryuha daijiten? why don't you respond in japanese then? it says "系譜は諸伝の資料や口伝を参照して潤色を

    加え、文献上実在の人物も実際より年代を古くしている点がある

ように思われる。" so you know what that means right? it says the school was passed down through kuden no densho right? IT SAYS THE GENEALOGY WAS PASSED DOWN THROUGH KUDEN THE NAMES OF THE SOKE AND STORIES OF THEM WAS KUDEN

  • @scottbaioisdead

and thank you for the correction on okuse heisheiro.

i guess its not the first time a fraud has grabbed the name of a historian to link to try to link to ninjutsu, another great example is ron duncan.

im not saying your wrong, im just saying that i haven't seen anything to change my mind on the ninjutsu including any MA, budo, taijutsu. why cant nobody seem to give a source for anything on that?

and admit, i nailed your ass on c14 dating.

  • @Arteanor margin of error is a function of math depending on the dating system used, for carbon dating on plant and clothing material the margin of error is at best 400 years plus or minus, when you're "citing" how about you make sure you name which dating method you're referring to since theres over 100 and most of them don't apply to organic materials.

  • @scottbaioisdead

uh... it IS carbon 14 that is being dated... you should go and CHECK that source before you tell me its unrelated...

care to cite a source for your claim of 400???

  • what is your store selling now? Not sure how to spell that?

  • Does Dr. Kacem have a youtube account?

  • @scottbaioisdead If what you say is true, then why has Greg not gotten in trouble? If I recall he was guilty of calling his martial art "Ninjutsu"? Or is it only an offense in Japan?

Btw you said this book was good, HOW good? :P I could use a nice read.

    - Rev

  • I'll bet there is no mention at all of Japanese Ninjas heading off to Korea. Choson will not be able to use this book as a referrence for his delusion.

  • Great video, and haircut!

  • what the fuck are you wearing dude?lool

you rock so hard right now! :_)

    * * * * *

  • Sounds like an interesting book. Aside from the various historical beliefs of the origins of Japanese martial arts, many mythos of Japan say that Samurai and Ninja learned their arts from Tengu and their Deities of Japan. Whether you believe in such myths or not, I think much inspiration could have come from the genius of the dedicated warriors through trial and error and not necessarily from outside cultures.

  • Damn....I really want a copy......

  • i saw on the bujinkan site that you could learn at home, and tape yourself and send it in to test up to black belt. Do you think this is a good idea for somone who dosent have enough money or a nearby dojo?

  • @strykersigma I would say no, It doesn't matter what style you practice, they can all have great depth, you just have to take it seriously and be willing to practice a lot.

  • Bill Nye? Just kidding, book sounds great.

  • Pleasae, Dean get some fashion advice!

  • hi mate, how goes it? i like the 'chinese' refferances, even, i prob one of the most polite 'anti-neoninja guys' think that chosen ninja needs to hide for about 40 years!!! haha. Ok i spoke to Kacem and i asked him what evidence he has for the Togakure, he said he would only tell me in person? so whats in the book? any more info to support the bujinkan claims? i know you have not had long to read it. Me and Kacem are both with Tuttle, they are sending me a copy, but not here yet!

  • @TSOAS2008 he describes the writing of the togakure ryu densho, the specific script and style of writing etc he says its 100% an edo period scroll.

  • amazons got it priced @ List Price: $34.95

  • cant wait to buy this book..

  • haha definetly nice tie

  • I like your bow tie!

  • Do you have the ISBN handy Dean?

  • @xXxCatsnakexXx 9780804839273

  • @scottbaioisdead Cheers!

  • i'm so buying that book..but how much would it cost??

  • @TheUglyPrince the back says 34.95

  • @scottbaioisdead, that is one expensive book! I buy most of my books at HalfPriceBooks so I guess I am not used to seeing books over 20 dollars. Anyways, thanks, I will definitely get it a few months after it is out :). I am more concerned about the history rather than the techniques so I am curious what other books are good or better.

  • @TheUglyPrince i've spent over 1000 dollars on a book, this isn't really that expensive. serge mols books are about 100 bucks and every one is worth buying. they're worth buying more than one of actually

  • @TheUglyPrince Actually it's pretty cheap for a text book. Usually thick text books like that go for around $100. In college I would usually spent as much as $600 per semester to buy all my books.

  • @TheUglyPrince 34.95 expensive book? I have books about metallurgy worth $ 10,000. 21 volume, but it's still close to 500 per volume.

  • @C4nn37, that is wayy too much money (and probably a ripoff) the ONLY books should be expensive are books from the 18th century and shit.

  • @TheUglyPrince a ripoff, really? there's not a lot of 200 page books of this nature that you can get for that price.

  • @TheUglyPrince No, these are comprehensive textbooks about metallurgy, and each has between 1500 and 3500 pages. 55,404 pages in total.

  • @C4nn37, goddamN!!!!!

  • ....*chuckles a little*....BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @shishiokirakun Why do you hate Dean so much? Are you a choson ninjer defender?

  • @MaikeruMatsuo No, I'm a defender of the image of the Bujinkan. I don't appreciate his character while "defending" the bujinkan. He's in violation of the guidelines set up by Hatsumi Sensei.

  • @shishiokirakun Ahhh..well ok i understand that i guess

  • @MaikeruMatsuo shishi-chan isn't actually a member of the bujinkan, he's impersonating a nidan and won't name his teacher, it's best to ignore him.l he didn't even know what the bujinkan crest was called and didn't know what they meant. we actually had to contact the hombu about peopl elike him and the kid called xbujinkan shinobi, it's very troublesome what these children do on youtube.

  • @scottbaioisdead hmmm, Can you not get in trouble for impersonating a Bujinkan member?

  • @MaikeruMatsuo no not really, even the kid who stole that guys "shodan" cert which was actually a kyu cert but these kids can't read japanese. you can only get in trouble for copyright infringement by displaying the bujinkan logo or claiming to be a teacher, or stealing certs

  • @scottbaioisdead Oh ok. How troublesome

  • @MaikeruMatsuo Glad you do.

  • @MaikeruMatsuo I'm impersonating no one. It just angers Dean that I speak against him.

  • @MaikeruMatsuo Also, Dean never contacted the hombu. I also only had a typo. Instead of wappen I typed wappan. I'm not fluent in japanese, but that's because I've never had time to learn it. I am fluent in spanish, though.

  • how much do you think the shinobi shozoku will be?

  • @MaikeruMatsuo maybe around 200 total?

  • @scottbaioisdead Thanks ok well i will definitely be looking out for them.
