  • @usagi18

    of course! My pleasure.

  • well now i know why we have instant noodle....

  • @getaldo

Certainly, it is time-consuming to make handmade UDON.

But, a handmade food contains love of not being in the instant food.

Though the instant food is also delicious....

  • would you explain how you are pressing when rolling the dough on th pin (around 4:00)

  • @Sivant

I am giving my total weight to the noodle seat., when I lengthen the noodle.

Because it starts shrinking at once.

  • @RawrSandy

I have made Udon for 5years.

  • Very professional. I applaud you! The noodles look amazing! =^_^=

  • @TigersPrettyBunny

Thank you !! but It is not it.

  • awwessome! :D

  • @DeliciousWasabi

    Thanks :)

  • i tried making udon noodles twice and the second on came out a little better than the other. I been watching many videos on how to make udon but what gets me confuse on certain things while making it, is do I add 1tsp of salt? and is eggs really an ingredient in making udon as well?

  • Thank you for seeing my Video !

When I make Udon, the egg is not used.

I use only water, the salt, and flour to make Udon.

The salt of five spoons is put in the water one liter.

You hope to be able to make good Udon in the following trial.

  • wow this is the first time i have ever seen anyone make hand made udon ... that was a super cool video thank you for sharing

  • Thank you !! :)

  • what ingredients u use to make this

  • Flour for Udon.

    Maybe flour for bread OK.

  • great job!

  • My pleasure

    LOL

  • hai, domo arigato gozaimasu!!

  • I really want to make this. Which flour do you use and how much of it do you use? I have access to all flours. 1 more question being how much water should you pour in to start with. Thanks

  • I think she just made it with hand measurement.

  • Your daughters are a hoot! :)

  • Wow! Sugoi ne! I want to try to make for my husband. He is Japanese. ^_^ Domo arigatou goziamasu!

  • You're welcome.

I hope you make delicious UDON for your husband.

  • Hi I have a question what kind of flour that you use. Can I use all perpose flour. Thank you so much

  • Thank you for the comment !

    I use medium‐strength flour.

The one that the soft flour and the strong flour were blending done can be used if the flour is not in your surroundings.

  • That is so cool and I grew up with those noodles.

  • Thank you very much !

  • Nice knife skill! I am going to give this a try soon too!

You mention "it was as fat as sandal straps" and the tone used feels negative. I have seen noodles at the Japanese Cultural Centre dinners that were even larger than that, what I never managed to get was what these were called :/ I gather they were not an udon but another kind of noodle all together?

  • I wish to express my gratitude for your comment.

I think that the best thickness of UDON is individually different.

How much length is best for you?

  • Hand made? Wasn't that girl using her feet? :P

    BTW nice vid, looks delicious.

  • I am glad of your giving the impression of it.

Certainly, the girl is making it from her feet. ha ha !

  • Very relaxing to watch.

You've inspired me to try it myself.

  • I am glad of your comment.

Let's try it by all means !!

  • Thanks for sharing! I tried to make it using brown wheat flour. It was thick but good.

  • It is wonderfu !!

Boiling a thick UDON requires time.

However, it is made by a bite of delicious of wheat.

  • Thanks for the video. It seems to take a lot of time to make udon. Anyway, which flour do you use? Is it buckwheat? Can one boil noodles straight away after cuting them?

  • I am glad of your giving the comment.

Flour by which I am making UDON is flour with a comparatively strong stickiness.

The stickiness of it is a little weaker than that of flour that makes bread.

It is the best at once to boil it. And, remaining what is wrapped and frozen.

  • Well done~~

You show good passion in your technique.

  • Thank you very much for your kindness.(^0^)
