The extended range ev is the next logical step. It should put the pressure on battery manufacturers to step up a little more in R and D. As with most Jeeps, it will be priced too high for me, but that's just me. Once they figure out how to handle the unsprung weight of 4 hub motors, this will give great competition to gas 4 wheel drive.

lose the gas engine with the extra hardware as well as 10k off the price tag and get 80 miles out of this thing. give it a hitch with a honda generator on it if you wana take a longer trip.

I'd LOVE to own this car but it can only go 40 miles on the lithium ion battery & then you need to rely on a full tank of gas to get you the next 360 miles >:[[ If they could make the battery last for a full 400 miles then I'd buy it in a heartbeat !!

Seriously if there was an electric hybrid car that I liked, its this one, the Patriot. Sure beats a Prius.
