  • In my opinion, I embrace the thought. I think that this thought is a THOUGHT -- not my life, not an action, not a desire. I look at it from different points of view, then I RELEASE IT! I go on to think about something that brings me happiness, or pleasure, or satisfaction. When I perceive thoughts to be like clouds, just passing by, then I control how I feel, and what my life is.

  • When I slap you real hard on your face, your immediate thought will come out of your thought perception and actuality of pain and not from your desire.

  • uhmmmmmmm....ok.....so you left me hanging. :) How do I change what I desire?

  • i eat chocolate but im not chocolate, i watch tv, but im not a tv, i read words, but im not a word, i play games, but im not a game, i consume shit, but im not shit

  • @TheDkMovie he didn't mean tat stupid

  • @priyangah1 but i do

  • @TheDkMovie ohh........avana ne???

  • @TheDkMovie wow you must be a complete and utter retard if you seriously thought thats what he meant hahaha...?

  • @Snoopii211 i was trolling

  • @SilverGalford you are everything that you've ever perceived.

  • @verifymyageful It's all perception

  • redirect your Mind from the head to the Heart - you will instantly transform your thoughts from separation and duality to the Heart's desire for connection, inner peace, well being and oneness. just try it...

  • Who is this guy? I feel sorry for anyone watching his videos. You're much better off going and reading neuroscience literature instead.

  • i dont wana chang what i desier!

i wana chang my negitive thoughts!

  • SOMETIMES WE WORK FOR THE JESUITS,AND THEN WE CONTROL YOU,RIGHT?.

ISNT IT THAT WHAT YOU MENT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING?.

IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIND OUT BUT,YES THE TRUTH EVEN TOLD BY ONE PERSON,IS AND WILL SIMPLY BE THE TRUTH!

    EUREKA!

MR.LAITMAN SIMPLY BELONGS TO THE FLOCK OF PAPAL JEWS THAT CHANGED THE REAL STORY OF THE REAL KABBALISTIC ATTITUDE AFTER THE PRE JUDAIC PERIOD,KILLING THEIR BROTHERS.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT!

JUST A REMINDER FROM A SIMPLE GENTILE

  • Dude you can't leave me on a cliff hanger like that?!

  • he didn't really answer the question.

  • @188Sozum well you would have more control naturally if you had better understanding of the fundamentals of why we want things and what we do to achieve them. the control comes as a description of the awareness

  • It is an over simplification to suggest we can simply change a desire. Our thoughts can not be controlled in a way that a "decision" to do so solves a problem or worry. It is only our intellectual capacity to use reason , evaluate and monitor situations of concern which may move us to a mind set which modifies an existing desire. The instinctal "control" we do possess is an ability to temporarily focus attention away from issues of concern e.g. by reading or watching T.V.

  • We can become addicted to happiness, but can we become addicted to sadness? Why in only one direction? Can we become addicted to pain? Can we become addicted to evil? Can we become addicted to destruction?

  • @gukonni I'm not sure if its addiction, but sometimes I cherish depression. I think that our way of thinking has been moulded from our entire life experience, which shapes our thinking and reality. For instance, the earliest years of my life were defined by hardship and lack of affection, and everything thereafter has been based on trying to fill the void from losing my mother, being abused, and never fitting in. It's incredibly difficult to change your mind.

  • @gukonni

I think that one might seem to be addicted to pain, evil, or unhappiness in a way to cope with other people or influences that they might perceive are causing pain, evil, unhappiness un to them... in away it takes the pain and turns it to pleasure...thus there is no pain

  • I like this video. Makes sense to me somehow.

Maybe my desire for freedom isn't high enough? So my thoughts that tell me I do not have enough freedom and must strive more, are a by-product of me not desiring that freedom enough. Another possible explanation is that I do not desire order enough. Maybe I am addicted to the idea of freedom and desire it indulgently and inappropriately. So my thoughts are an expression of a desire that's out of control.

  • @SilverGalford Don't forget "you are who you are around with"

  • Sit back and just listen to the background noise. Try to catch pieces of it. Record it, then you can think about it. All the tunes, all the voices, the laughs. visuals too.

Then analyze them. "Why did I think about that?" "Oh yeah it was the commercial on TV when I walked by without paying attention to it" Guys: "Why do I have an erection? Oh yeah I thought about that which led to..."

You've now successfully cleared some space in your subconscience.

Now think about something new ;)

  • @InDyingDayz What do you mean by "the present cannot be held"? The present never leaves us; what cannot be held are moments that once occurred in the present, but they are only the past. The present is perpetually held by anyone who lives in it.

  • SO HOW THE HELL DO I CHANGE WHAT I DESIRE!?

  • @omarlives Cliiiiiiiick on the link in the description video... YA CRAZY FOOL

  • Watch out my fellows, Sigmund Freud was a gentile hating Jew and look at all the bullshit he made up called psychoanalysis. Kabbalah is for the jews and you can not usderstand it unless you understand how to read the Hebrew alphabet. Best to look to The Secret and The Law of Attraction.

  • It's REALLY hard when you can't control your thoughts, I'd NEVER want to upset ANYONE :'(

  • You are your thoughts!

Thought creates the thinker : the thinker is the thought!

Ultimately : you are not your thoughts

  • To control your thoughts isn't the thing to do. Thoughts are only information that direct or redirect you. Thoughts without action is merely information, and thoughts with action is knowledge. So to control your thoughts, you end up blocking the very thing to direct you or redirect you. Allow your thoughts to be free and open, allowing God thoughts to intertwine with yours. Oh yeah, what do we know anyway? We all here for the experience, not to know. Whatever he say is right, and whatever say 2!

  • @EyeKnowtoo That's so intelligent! :O

  • @EyeKnowtoo - you cannot control your mind, trust me, I know. But you can look at it, and having looked at it, you can detach from it and have a good laugh at it. The observer can be observed...

  • @InDyingDayz

Don't you mean images of the past and ideas of the future?

  • now make a video on how to control desires

  • i have a simple solution. rebel against what you desire. desire is a drug. treat it as if you are a drug addict. ask yourself, do i really want desire? your mind will say yes, but your soul will say no, resist temptation. the more you resist, the stronger your will power gets. it is not easy. you will struggle with desire your entire life. its your choice and your decision.

  • @naturesavatar What you're saying is to fight off a part of yourself. You're also saying to desire not to desire. You also need the desire to eat, to survive, to feel, to love.. You can't get your necessities without desire. I don't think it's wrong to desire but rather what you desire. You could change your negative desires to positive ones such as wisdom, spirituality and compassion.

  • @naturesavatar aw i love this <3 well said

  • @naturesavatar Bullshit! Desire is a powerful motivating force. The key is to control your desire rather than having it control you. If desire controls you it leads to destructive compulsive behaviours. But if you never fulfill any of your instinctual desires, that is unnatural and will lead to unhappiness.

  • What if I don't want to change my desires? My desires are perfectly reasonable (doing well at school) but they are creating negative and stressful thoughts.

  • Where does one go when he dies?

  • @Lazdinger, Time and space are illusions, therefore you don't really go anywhere, but what you may imagine after you "die" is of a going to someplace. That "someplace" is a collective creation, as this world is, and in that place are several other worlds you can live in, or you can choose to not live in a world at all. You don't even need a body to live. You can live without any concept of form at all......which is your true natural state.....and is Heaven'

  • I can recoment Eckhart Tolle books, if you want to live in "peace and harmony" in this question about minds and thoughts ;)

  • If you're bipolar are you always doing a dual commentary?

  • Not just desire. But the 4 things are: Desire, Anger, Logic, Imagination.

  • This video leaves people hanging... Simply.. Thoughts will always come and go.. We either Participate or not participate in the thought. When we participate we feed the emotions associated with the thought. When we do not participate, we starve the emotions associated with the thought. Simply.. Participate or Not. It's the most profound practice we can take up, but at the same time the most simple.

  • there are varying degrees of how strongly desire is felt. i wouldve liked that to be acknowledged

  • I just wanted to change my thoughts. Now you tell me I have to change my desire. I guess I just have to desire to be miserable and I'm set!

  • Ringo Starr... is that you?

  • Think about everything he says and imagine how this information could work to the advantage of the government and big corporations. (not saying the government is watching these videos but im sure they have there own experts)

  • @fourpointohh Thats why world government first built illiusion-consumption-industry world for humanity spread in last 150 years threw usa. Most of us have no more time even for children. Then try to prove to brainwashed but "high" educated individuel he with his ego is wrong. Most important- secret societies not secret anymore, they opened i-net with intension to spread Fair- potentiator of our enemy within us

  • @aureez I got no idea wtf you just said haha

  • @fourpointohh understood. but laughs thee who laughs the last- cause then you got no idea what wtf you wrote about in the 1st comment- talking bout gov, co, i-net, own=nwo without knowing what it is and what purpose of it

  • @aureez sorry man i dont get were your going with this... i was just trying to state that this information can be used to control people, i was not trying to get technical or smart with it lol

  • @fourpointohh without philosophy, i meant you were right, but little too late- grands of todays government leaders found out everything, mostly about human psychology long time ago... Control over the humanity, it exists for long time.. since first KING-PHARAON-CEASAER... Peace, man!

  • @cunnidvd

If you're referring to the final question in the video "how do I change my desire?", the answer is, you have to discover the root of your soul. That is to say, when you come the intellectual realization that changing your nature will change your reality, you elevate the importance of this understanding until it is the only thing you want to understand. The more important it becomes, the more you want it. And the more you want to change, the more your thoughts will change as well.

  • smoke weed

  • meditate.

  • stupid answer. change your desire to change your thought. well, wtf, there is a desire to change your thoughts.

  • This actually helped alot- In order to control your thought you need to control your desire

  • none else can hear you.. think about whatever the fuck you want.

  • That just vaguely got rid of a problem and introduced a bigger one.

  • well that answered a question with a question...great...really helped.

  • How is it possible that we can think about thinking?

  • @420420420pot You can desire anything you want, as long as it does not violate the Torah (the book of laws). so in order to study kabbalah, one first has to study Torah. If you begin to study kabbalah without studying Torah first, then you will be like an undisciplined child with superpowers, creating wanton destruction in your life and the lives of other people. understanding Torah is the key.

  • Self control. Problem solved. Yes, I know it's not necessarily easy, if there's not motivation apart from desire. If you don't want to control yourself, you must create the desire to do so. Needs are something else entirely, and must be recognized as such and separated.

  • @Mechaluigi3000

not to go against what your saying but concentrating or focusing is a state of thought, because if you focuse then your leaving something open and closing everything else and you don't know what that everything else is, so maybe you should try as you don't think, to simply be aware, aware of your breathing, the noises you might be hearing around you, then you leave yourself open which is kinda what you'd want :]

  • Lol how to control thoughts... to me that's a piece of cake! Im like around 90% in control of my complete body... 10% is like tickling and stuff... To stop thinking, just don't say anything in ur head, just stay quiet and focus

  • I don't believe you. I like pie. (Change) I like eggs. (Change)...and on and on and on.

  • Actually, not all desires are desires for pleasure. There are some who desire things that make them unhappy.

  • @freshlybrewedlife Which is a form of desire. A desire is a desire. That desire to makes them unhappy makes them pleased. Ergo they seek pleasure.

  • @freshlybrewedlife Emotions release chemicals and those chemicals become addictive. You see some people who are sad, become addicted to being sad. So much that they'll even put themselves in certain situations to feel/experience that chemical. Make sense?

  • @chris96kalonji Actually it's the chemicals being released that cause the emotion.

  • @DerrenBrown100 Same difference ;)

  • @freshlybrewedlife in the long run... a perfect way to fuck up your health too..

  • @freshlybrewedlife Give me an example of that. Anyone who does something negative to themself (Smoke crack, harm their children etc) are still craving some sort of psychological or physical high.

  • @freshlybrewedlife Yes, but couldn't it be said that those people derive pleasure from their pain? Even if the pleasure is merely in the form of comfort in the familiar or in the affirmation of firmly held beliefs about yourself or others.

  • @freshlybrewedlife That is one tiny exception. If they believe enough that something that will make them unhappy is "good" for them, then that is when they would desire it. It is to do what they "believe" is "good" which is still, in some minor respect, a type of desire for pleasure. (It is a desire to justify/fulfill one's own beliefs.)

  • When I say that your thoughts change, I don't mean that you stop being who you are. Rather, your thoughts revolve around how you can participate in connecting with others and giving what is good to those around you. You cease to think only in terms of what satisfies you and begin to think altruistically. When humanity reaches the degree of conscious altruism all of our current societal/financial/ecological problems will end.

  • mads18

The only reason we do anything in life is because we have a desire to experience pleasure. This is everything from the pleasure of scratching an itch to the pleasure of becoming wealthy etc...

When you discover in your mind, that there is something that will bring you eternal life, you also find you have no desire for it. But if you decide that you want to desire it, then you examine it more closely. You discover the merits and your desire changes. Then your thoughts change as well.

  • @420420420pot

There is no right and wrong in desire, desire is something you want - that means it is a truth of "right" to you. When you say how do you know you're right you are putting yourself in other persons shoes viewing yourself and how you are perceived, letting yourself be judged, that is suffering and not living the dream YOU want.

  • Kool I like this guy, he sounds just like the actor michael dougles streets ov san Fracisco. romancing the stone.he's got a cool very unique voice. but any way iv got a minde that never stops thinking, it's like a v8 engine that can't be shut off and a Jamed tranny stuck in drive I constantly feel burnt out week tired and never did drugs in my life and somtimes to certine situations hve trouble making good decisions

  • @mrtoeknee641 Consider the Spiritual environment, the one Kabbalah offers, and all your worries will become Spiritual Worries. Mr. Toeknee..

  • very interesting.

  • @420420420pot Kill your TV

  • this dude is soo great

  • I have millions of desires and all of them are strong ones. which one do I choose, how to start, where to start, etc? How in the world do we know which desire is more important than the other? I think, desire comes first in a form of thought then it becomes a desire.

  • let you save you people 22 minutes (im not getting my time back anyway). its Kabbalah (google it, lazy!). bunch of gibberish meant to sucker the weak minded.

  • @mrmelkor1 "let you save you people" nice grammar there, maybe you are the sucker for not being able to express yourself correctly and at the same time belittling the "weak minded" in your point of view, grow up and open your mind!

  • advertizing is meant to change your desire and it's effective if you ask me so why cant our thoughts ?

  • this is hard for me to digest.

  • Changing your desire will help you direct your thoughts?

A desire is an outter function.

    A motive, a place, "a feeling".

It's where you're trying to look, it doesn't originate thoughts.

    Thoughts are a conscious perceptive.

  • i usually don't have commentary in my head is that weird?

  • Nice side step, but poor dilivery on how to change disire.

  • well said! :) XOXO

  • lefty

  • @InDyingDayz oh my god!

  • @420420420pot desire is emotion. you can learn to control that.

  • How do you know that desires are not instances of thought? I don't understand where you are getting the concept that desire is a discrete item equivalent to baseline motivation.

  • but as the "Free Will" video says.We can only change the environment.right?

  • @InDyingDayz, thank you. I'm a poet, and I thought that was awesome!

  • So if you change your desire, you don't actually do it because off free will? but because you desire to change your desire? :P

  • @Sirussm:

    Hey thanks.

  • you don't change what you desire.

  • Sirrusm: I love the most recent thing you said. It seems very knowledgeable. I am confused in the sense that anything I attempt to control appears always to be a product of ego. Can you help me understand? (even the idea of gaining this knowledge is an attempt at building a foundation; trying to control) Intriguing and yet very confusing.

  • @bb31900 Well the ego is a tool of the human condition.

We can use the ego to achieve what we want for our selves

in life but the trick is to not let it control what we want in life.

To realize when the ego is controlling things for us we have

other tools we can use, like the tool of emotion, if something feels

bad then stop, if good then great. pt.1

  • @bb31900 To figure out whether or not something

is truly good for you or not just keep asking your that

question does this feel right for my life.

keep reading books, going on youtube and watching

spiritual videos like this. that's what keeping an open mind does.

and before you know it your making choices without the

ego. Buddhism is really good for sorting the ego out pt.2

  • But then how do you control desire, and how do you control what controls

desire, you'll keep going on and on like that, but before you know it

after been going on like that you'll start to have clear and controlled thoughts.

The whole act it self of trying to learn to have controlled thoughts lets you control

your thoughts : ) That's how you do it. An opened mind.

  • Note:

Are you running from the bear because you are scared?

    Or

Are you scared because you are running from the bear?

    Hence thought from desire.

    Very good.

  • The ego. Our greatest strength as well as our greatest weakness.

  • great video

  • how can one change their desires if not by thought? anybody... anybody?

  • @ecstatica23 by noticing. Noticing is not thinking.

  • @siamkarl

and when you notice... what happens after if not thought?

  • @ecstatica23 Have you investigated yet? There are 5 senses supplying us with endlessly interesting info. The tactile sense alone supplies with us many rather astonishing things to notice - such as proprioception.

  • @siamkarl

what does proprioception have to do with desire?

my question still stands. What happens after you "notice" if not a thought? maybe you can give me an example to help explain your perception.

  • @ecstatica23

desire comes from the heart. A desire is a craving to be filled with pleasure. The type of pleasure depends on the desire. At some point in your life, if you are ready, you will come to a state where nothing in this material life pleases you. It's all the "same shit different day".

When this happens you will feel a desire for something that is lasting (eternal) This pleasure only has one source. Your spiritual journey begins when you search for this source. Then you will find God

  • question 1. what does this guy define "self" as?

#2. what is desire if not a thought? desire is not a physiological need. Isn't desire a want?

  • i see what you mean, but i think there's a possibility of the existence of an interconnection between everything.even if the bigger parts are unaware of the microcosmos.these are just some freestyle thougts.. but for me it is more and more improbable for great complexity to spring out of total randomness.this fundamental force wich we are still to discover ihas got to be somewhat sentient.

  • like, some latest scientific studies are assuming that even bacteria and other single-celled beings make coherent and efficient decisions.. i think that's amazing

  • To aknowledge a non-dogmatic and non-institutional god - the whole in wich we take place - is to gain conscioussness of our actions and therefore being correct and responsible. To be consciouss of our function in the whole "ecossystem" is to be responsible for our actions.

  • THANK YOU! IUSEFULL TO ME THIS VIDEO!

  • So this just changed the question and gave no solid answer. So if i can't change my thoughts, and thoughts stem from desires...How do I change my desires? How do I lose unwanted desires / create better ones?

  • @cjsmith24

You create better desires when you have calculated that everything you have been chasing thus far, has given you nothing of lasting value and importance. Your desire changes once you have exhausted other possible sources of pleasure. If you are asking this question it is because you are approaching this point in your life. You are beginning to see that pleasure in this world is fleeting. By "this world" I mean egoistic thinking (self concern to the exclusion of others).

  • @Shilivan

    Thank you

  • you can't stop thought. you can quiet it.

  • This is a quality answer. 5/5

  • The way i see it, thinking is your minding producing reality, wheather it is outside through your eyes or inside your head. Either way, its still reality.

  • @Tunkman77

You are correct. And the quality of that reality is determined by desires which bring the thoughts that produce reality. Thus altruistic desire produces altruistic thought. Altruistic thought produces a reality with altruistic qualities.

Egoism produces egoistic thoughts. Thus everyone is only concerned about their own pleasures. This is the world we live in now. And if you look around, you can see what that produces.

  • @Shilivan Transgression

  • and one of the main goals in many spiritual teaching systems is to stop that internal dialogue COMPLETELY, cause this permanent stream of thoughts is believed to block our cognition and prevent us from perceiving the universe beyond the limited human world.

she was obviously asking about how to stop that dialogue. pay attention, she did not say 'how can I stop bad thoughts and only have good ones', she is asking about the simplest way to stop that commentary TOTALLY.

  • she obviously talks about internal dialogue in her question - it is a continuous process of verbal comments going on through your mind, it is on every second, is a kind of continuous stream, even if you don't think that you're interacting with so called 'outer world'. just pay attention and you will see, there will be not even a fraction of a second without a thought going on through your head.

  • what is first the thought or the desire? is it no tru our thougts that we awake our desires?

  • TRUE vid excellent!

  • You don't want to stop the commentary that's going on in your mind.

That is your last resort of thinking with no bounds, by stopping that you'll successfully become nothing more then another robot waiting for your next command or order.

  • ehmm, no. what it allows you, is your consciousness to rest; to spend much less energy, to enjoy life; and whenever you want to manifest a thought, it emerge. I have barely payed any attention to this particular video and I haven't followed any tutorial or anything at all to control my thoughts, it happened naturally to me as I "had ADHD" and wanted to get rid of it. I started thinking less and less by just being "dead" or a robot as you say, but now I can project my thoughts by will instead.

  • @mads18 thats very good vew people can do that, i hope i can do that one day peace

  • @mads18 robots? robots think and see in zeros and ones...... we dont, we're wired differently, such as when we see "what we see" it saturates into our brain--- and etc etc....

but im not judging/ changing ur comment im just putting a random put out X]

  • @mads18 your words only applies to someone just like you ADHD dude. just take your methylphenidate

  • no your thoughts and dreams are based on experience of life and your deception on life

  • How do you change what you desire? More thinking and more doing based on that thinking.

Desire is linked to thinking, so the answer to "how do I change my thinking" is also the answer to "how do I change my desire".

  • how we change what we desire?

The desire can be our life path,to lead you to your lesson. We are still human, its our nature of desire and fullfil the needs.Nothing wrong with this:)-we can change desire by other desire:)depend of the interpretation

  • to change the way we desire is to change the ego and to get rid of your ego you have to first look within yourself to find out your ego and its depths in you and than you slowly start to focus on your heart and love in this world i find the ego will slowly lose its grip on your mind and you dont need to think about things you choose to but you can truly control your own thoughts at this point... i know i can

  • Mmm, there is a point there, but I'm inclined to label it false simply because he said: can't. We keep on learning everyday, what we say we can't right now we can in the future or whenever. I'm not against any religion, I just discust the politics that goes on behind them. I say, beleave what you want, don't harm anyone in any way, don't pay anyone for what you beleave and reality is individual. Everyone beleaves something else, learn to respect that. Peace :)

  • The Wisdom is Great!.

  • A little madness keeps you on your toes! Great people over the years have made breakthroughs in fields such as music, physics, art and mathematics. These the true martyrs. The rest of us are merely correlating data in their wake. Whos to say what an accomplished life is? We all suffer, but most of us don't know it.

  • one answer is your genes and the environment you live in. It seems to me that desire is something that we want as apposed to what we need. Its hard to seperate the two. You've got to weed out bad habits connected to your reward centers which put you in negative cycles. To cut a long story short, free will is so rare, only the unicorns know where to find it. We are still young.

  • and what will be the reward if one chooses need over desire?

  • Need could be superficial and bad for us (need to smoke, drink alcohol, abuse people) because such needs are a mere product of a narrow desire. Desire is the main symptom of a living being inside our body. If we know what that being is, then we know what to desire. When we are ignorant about our real nature, we desire wrong things, things which are only connected to our body and mind, and not connected to ourselves, the observer within the physical (chemical) and mental (thoughts) body.

  • our desires developed long before our minds evolved. we feel first, then think, but we can reflect. we can change, its an internal struggle. but the right path needs to feel right. you have to know yourself. you have to give yourself to truth. logic is a little child trying to control a big dog.

  • exactly so we're left with one question; who gave me my desires?

  • this guy knows what hes on about :)

  • This is ab indepth understanding.

    Thank you,

  • thought can bring up desire and vise versa. Its a paradox.

  • neato

  • it works in both ways

  • I started watching this video with no particular question, then you brought a question to my mind, then you left me with a question in my mind.

  • these concepts are addressed in many of the worlds spiritual traditions, as well as science, philosophy, and psychology, as both science and religion seek answers to the same questions, yet approached from different vantage points and preconceptions.

  • well put. I enjoy the metaphor of a bowl as our sense of desire, forever empty, yet filled with the infinitude of thoughts that we imagine will lead us to the satisfaction of our desires, only to achieve those ambitions and discover the bowl is still empty and forever being refilled with thoughts until we realize we should be seeking the Self that the bowl rests upon.

  • you do have a coherence of thoughts and ideas and feelings and naturally occurring social traits that have no dollar amount to them right?

  • well said !! makes sense
