@masterman3178 This video was for a dumb little film festival. The script, or lack of one, was written over a 15 minute breakfast. Most of it was filmed by a 16 year old with little to no film experience (me), and all of the actors had even less experience acting. It was completed within 10 hours after filming it. So.. yeah I'm pretty sure he knows it sucks, as do I. But I'm glad that you feel like high enough on the totem pole to critique a shitty youtube video. You are the Master, man.
the first 20 seconds were the best. If you could have somehow developed it into someone playing Call of Duty 2 or some other war game, then it would have gone far. Lack of plot development and worse than terrible dialogue ruined this short that had great potential. Best of luck next time!

If yes, what filter/effects/color correct did you used to get that washed out look. So many people try to use it, you did it well. I have only one suggestion...make the gun sounds a little louder, they sound kind of weak.
Thank you! Yes we used final cut pro. I just used the 3-way color corrector. I crunch the blacks, boost the mids and highlights till it looks about right, then I de-saturate it a tad.

The credentials were "Open to interpretation". Obviously the whole move is in the kid's imagination,.. or day dream. It's a little bit of a stretch sure, but notice it's listed 4th. This was our interpretation, judges look for creativity with the given credentials.
I play Call of Duty, and Medal of Honor alot online over the years, I was inspired by all the little annoying kids who jump around and bash people when you're trying to play the game.
well shot, and great story idea, I didn't get it though until he mentioned getting kicked out of the clan so I had to re-watch it to get some of the jokes.
