@drtony999 not anymore, it used to be. then came 2 times bigger galaxy NGC 4889 and 20 times bigger galaxy IC 1101 than Virgo A. but it was the biggest at that point.
Problems:1.Venus is a bit small compared to Earth.2.Uranus is half size Jupiter, not quarter!!!3.Neptune is half size Saturn, not quarter!!!4.Sun is a bit too big compared to Jupiter.
Last comment 'there are thousands of galaxies' ........ slightly understated I would say! The latest estimate is there are at least 500 BILLION galaxies ..... our galaxy is average sized and has 200 - 400 BILLION stars
So the number of stars in the universe? The latest estimate is 10 to the power of 22-24 ...... that is 10 with 24 0's after it!
no we no that life is driven by water because thats how we can survive. there are other things we dont no about other creatures that dont need air water and stuff like that to survive
well first there are billions of stars in our milky way and there a billions of galaxies, most of the stars have planetary systems around them and probably moons as well giving you unlimited curiosity in numbers and possibilitys that we we cant even try to conceive.. there is no reason for us to assume that all life is driven by water.. with the size of VY canis majoris it could produce millions or more habital environments for unknown creatures to thrive in a very small region of sky
actually very few stars have planetary systems. most do not. and there IS reason to assume life is driven by water. A. all life on Earth is. B. its, i believe, the second most common compound in the universe. and we dont kno how many galaxies there are (over billions) cuz the diameter of the universe exeeds the light-tavel time of its age (so over 13.7 billion lightyears). so we hav no idea cuz the light hasnt even reached us yet! :-P
possibly. or closer. the only other planet found (outside the solar system) that cld harbor life (at least, i THINK its only) is about 1.2-1.5 times the size of Earth but has an orbit closer than that of Mercury to the Sun cuz its star is a red star. not as much heat and light
That picture they said was the Milky Way was actually Andromeda. Moreover, it's not accurate to the shape class of our galaxy. The Milky Way is a barred-spiral, not a classic spiral like Andromeda.
i searching a full solar system video with all planets & their moon moving (rotation & evolution). i want to show the video for my son (going for 4 y.o.). he's so exciting when i told about the solar system, galaxies, stars & comets. help me please....
It's the latest of the 3 major monotheistic religions stemming from Abraham, preceded by Christianity & Judaism. It literally means "submission to Allah", Allah meaning God. It's main religion in the Middle East & the fastest-growing religion on Earth right now.
there's a total of about 125 billion galaxies in the "visble" universe. The last photo is a thin slice of sky with 15,000 galaxies. According to Big Bang superstition the universe is 14 billion years old and 93 billion light years across-meaning that space between galaxies is expanding faster than speed of light, but there's no limit on the expansion of space in relativity theory. In any case the Big Bang idea that the universe started 14 billion years ago at some hot point is completely false
What evidence do you have against it? Because right now all the evidence points toward the big bang or a variation of it, especially since steady-state theory was disproved about 50 years ago by the Cosmic Microwave Background, i.e. the electromagnetic signature of the Big Bang.
Its possible there is nothing. But we don't know yet. There could be a multiverse with different universes existing in different dimensions or planes. They may even interact with one another.
Nice video but Andromeda is only a tiny bit bigger than the Milky way, certainly not 4-5 times bigges as shown in the video. Probably just a scaling problem though
There are 100 billion stars in our galaxy ( a spiral galaxy). However some ellipitical galaxies can have over 400 billion stars. Some estimates I've seen for the total number of galaxies in the observable Universe give the total as at least 100 billion galaxies.
that picture was Andromeda galaxy when i said our galaxy the milky way you showed it Andromeda is bigger but Virgo a isnt in local group cos how come Andromeda is largest and we second?
billions of galaxies... every one of them contain millions of stars, every star has a change of having a liveable planet orbiting around it..... no, we are no alone, the exactly opposite, I believe theres life all over the universe
I just noticed this music was from heroes of might and magic III, love that game. Who the hell outright deleted my comment? I can't even remember what I said but at least someone laughed :X

You really should have compared the milky way to IC 1101.
IC 1101 is 60 Million light years across, whereas the milky way is only 100k light years.
darkarbiter7 2 years ago
Wow 600 times the size of our Galaxy.
DeadlyMACD 2 years ago
Looks like IC 1101 is about 5-6 million ly across. So its about 60 times the size of the Milky Way.

Still darn huge though!
And scarily enough, there's probably bigger galaxies out there, because galaxies don't have quite as much holding them back in size (like stars)
