P4 is generally more popular (at least in Japan, not sure if it's like that in the US) than P3, however the ones who prefer P3 usually are very vocal about how better they think it is.

IMHO P4 is better than P3, people say P3 is "darker" than P4, but I think it's only superficially, and I didn't like P3's party so much.

DDS is truly darker and more serious than both though, it has different gameplay, style and has a more linear plot than both. IMO it's P4>DDS>P3

ppl who really feel the need to argue what game is better are pathetic, Persona 3 & 4 are both wild unforgettable rides.

I am 16 hours into each and still love coming back to each everytime, truly phenominal games. Ppl say the Final Fantasy VII is the king of JRPGS (which I will never understand) but for me it has to be P3 & 4.

Persona 5 is gonna be a great unforgettable ride as well.

I bought Shadow Hearts Covenant and thought I got a good deal off of it ($15) because many say its one of the best RPGs. I got home and opened up the case and found out... It only came with the second disk. I was sooo pissed I swear I made the Devil scared.
