Hi sorry for delay, no the fish was a wild one we have a fantastic insect population mink control fish average 3/4lb and theres plenty to 2-3lb in the deeper pools.

The bigger fish tend to take a fish type lure.

When i'm fly fishing i always leave line lying slack, find it easier to fight the fish... wouldn't that be better than worrying about holding it on the reel? Knots arent that hard to avoid so why does everyone do that?

Did he land it? How big did it go? Was it an escapee or truely wild fish?
