They claim the engine is the same as in Lexus IS 350, but actually it is from the Camry. The Lexus version has direct injection combined with convetional injection and over 300 horsepower. Except from that the engines are basically the same
Toyota/GM should have offered the Matrix/Vibe with a 5-speed instead of AT only for hte AWD version they sell here. It seems like no one wants to try to ompete with Subaru or Mitsubuishi.
