It's not fake at all. It's called augmented reality. He's showing the cereal box to a camera on a computer that generates the game on to the screen. So the game is not actually on the cereal box. This video is actually what you see on the computer screen, not what you would see on the box.

This is absolutley fake.

On 0:37 you see that the "game" frame jumps out of the cereal box and back in for just a second.

Like it was motion tracked in AE and then applied on to a layer containing the cerealbox.
