  • I have MS and take NO pharmaceutical medications. Those drugs are crap. I am on a strict diet and I feel better than I have in 20 years. Today I have no MS symptoms and it's all through diet.

    YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

  • Rebif helps alot i had problems every week now i might get one every 4 months it really does help me alot

  • Have you ever tried the dietary approach, as advocated by Dr Roy Swank? There is good evidence that it has worked for many. Low fat is the main thing about it.

  • Its just really hard. I've stop and feel I've just given up. I don't want to try again.

  • Maybe the virus acts as an instigator, but the disease itself is probably not viral. I say this only because, in the case of EBV, 90-95% of like, everyone, has been infected. So there's gotta be more to it than that.

  • I don't think its viral, but there is alot of research linking herpes viruses ( EBV, HHV6 etc) with autoimmune and related diseases (ie MS, RA lupus, some forms of epilepsy, ME, chronic fatigue etc). I think its like 45% of the population has been exposed to EBV but people with autoimmune diseases often have higher titers associated with EBV.. or something to that effect.

  • My opinion is that ms is a virus. 99% of people with ms were hit with the epson bar virus first. If you've ever had mono that means you've had it. But it never goes away. There are phase 2 trials going on right now for different ms vaccines which sound very promising. They target the killer t-cells which are attacking myelin.

  • There are three ms vaccines, Neurovax, Tovaxin and BHT-3009. All of which are going through phase 2 clinical trials. There is also two pill trials going on with FTY720 and a antibotic call minocycline. Some people have success battling ms with Prokarin, a histamine patch. And LDN, Low Dose Naltrexone which can come in pill or liquid form.

  • I really like this video. My mom has MS and she is on Copaxone (sp) but she had an attack about 2 weeks ago. I hope your MS is not acting up! :]
