A few decades from now, today's values will seem absurd. Actually, given the relativism of today's values, these are some people who already seem to think that some current beliefs as absurd.
I know it was the forties and i agree that ginger rogers was amazing but that has to be one of the most sexist patronizing films i've ever seen! it was so offensive i couldn't stop laughing in a mixture of outrage and humour at how absurd beliefs were.
Nothing can touch the beauty of technicolor.Ginger was one actress who stayed the ingenue far later then most of her contemporaries(i.e.,Major and the Minor). This is one Ginger pic I must've missed 2.
Fantasy numbers, carrying this gal along and away with a near surreal gala extravaganza of mist, mink and sequins. Oh, the circus!!!! Then there is the pure baushaus molded aluminum and dusty rose naugahyde furniture defining the shrink's office, fabulous touch. Furs may be oh so politically incorrect, but what fashions, what elegance!

One of the most glorious of all Technicolor movies of the 1940s, and certainly the gayest!
