  • i like the beginning of this video... all it does is magnify sound and it sounds so empty.

  • my ears have never bled so well.

  • These guys are like the Pink Floyd of the 90's.

  • @DontEatEggs666 man, im totally agree, this is more advanced than today music

  • Is that Coady Willis?

  • loved it 20 years ago without drugs, loved it with drugs 15 years ago and now love it without the d, but yeah you appreciate with a bit of knowledge of psychadelics. cool stuff. Their first lp is the shit ie brown reason for living but the 2nd is a great follow up!

Chaotic, drug fucked, weirdo, punk, out there grooves!

any band these days play music like this?

  • @craigmac303 Paul Leary has a band called Carny. The keep saying they will release an album, but...

Check out The White Mice and FCKN'BSTRDS for some recent noise/performance art.

  • Halpern looks like a little kid in this video. haha

  • was trevor still in the band at the time?

  • thats some fucked up cereal

  • hows paul doing those noises with his guitar?

  • hey hows the one guy doin the wacky stuff with his guitar

  • You don't need psychadelics to enjoy The Surfers in their entirety. If you need drugs to enjoy music, or write it, please, give up.

  • @TBFVideoFeed

Whether they needed it or not, it's safe to assume that the first few albums the Buttholes made with the assistance of copious amounts of drugs. And the work is incredible.

  • The remastered version of this album is the shit!

  • i think I just had a flashback watching that video!! This is great thanks!

  • listening to butthole surfers makes me feel like im coming up

  • i love psychedelics, this is brilliant

  • I love this video

  • what a cry baby

  • The moral of the story is: always wear a tuque when you run naked through a train station. Because even when your junk's hanging out, you don't want your head to get cold.

  • @axisoffeeble lmfao

  • that may be the case but these guys are the real deal partner ive huffed more inhalents shot more psychoderalicks to no the differance gwar did a breakfast vidio too i want to here the lion song

  • sick video!!!

  • Just proves: Clowns are Evil.

  • Ah, the 80s. I remember parts of that decade. And parts of the 90s. And parts of this one, too.

  • shit, that looks like good cerial. lol

  • I was there when this happened!

  • The first part it's heavly influenced by the song Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast of Pink Floyd.

  • marmalade..I like marmalade...

  • That dripping tap at the start always makes me think of the clock ticking at the beginning of the first Resident Evil game. And it don't end there!

  • watching this makes me hope that the little squares of paper that my friend found are something more than just little squares of paper. if so, oh october 12th, you are going to be a wicked day. a very wicked day, indeed.

  • howd it go?

  • it was awesome. turned my brain inside out.

  • ive never tried acid but i want to sooo bad. so far shrooms are my favorite

  • @madtv5463 don't do acid i heard it can fuck u up real bad if u do too much of it

  • yeah i know all about that. but im not sure i believe it.

  • @madtv5463 well a friend of my friend's bro did too much and now he's permanently trippin' balls.

  • @Tracebebo Sadly, you don't know until you try . . . if you have pre-existing psychological issues including latent schitzophrenia, lsd will exacerbate the situation - not good to say the least. However, for the more stable, a quarterly dose would probably keep one focused on what's really going on, rather than being subdued by an endless stream of media & commercialistic bullsh!t.

  • Man, watching this makes me somewhat relieved they 'went straight' as, if they continued down this road of greatness, I'd be following them around the country selling bathtub acid or some shit.

  • @MarsHottentot Potent. I was an infamous "acidhead" at the time of this album, but you know what, I never touched drugs. I just had their first three albums constantly on Walkman.

  • holy sht...this gives me that horrible tightness in the chest and lumpy throat i always got doing acid. i hope i get flashbacks tonight.

  • who is the little turd who made this video? A guy named "Alex" in my class at NYU in the 80's made the cool opening..I watched it in class...and it was for footage he shot at CBs....where is this rat turd who stole it?

  • this is fucking insane blowing my mind

    420

  • fucking ace.

  • its the fakin catalina wine mixer

  • awesome guitar sound

  • cool

  • This is sooooo good.

  • is this the video

  • Anyone know of a way to turn on a person to the BHS without acid??

Gibson is genius. I hope hes still doin well.

  • no.

  • pcp works just as well...

  • @tzimtzum1618 If you're a retard. DMT. The king of psychedelics, and it won't even destroy your brain or make you psychotic when you come down like PCP does. If you need to do a dissassociative, do Ketamine or DXM, but there are better psychedelics. PCP is less psychedelic, less enjoyable and more toxic than most psychedelics. Pharmahuasca is where you should look for a heavy trip.

  • I took nothing at all and love them.

  • Tell 'em the prices in Marks and Spencers.

  • @mattiefattie1968 relentless exposure!! worked on me

  • didn't richard kern direct this one?

  • no, he didn't.

  • no, the one kern directed was real demented. im looking for it...aint seen it in years and years.

  • disturbing level of normalcy lol

  • How the hell does the guitarist make those noises/effects with his guitar??

    Fucking insanecraziness.

  • Effects pedals and lots of acid haha

  • Saw 'em a few times in London, back in the eighties. They're still one of my favourite bands. If I ever feel I'm approaching a disturbing level of normalcy, I stick some Buttholes on.

  • !!VIVA BUTTHOLE CABRONES!!

  • The band footage was taped 2-12-86 - despite listing it as live from Yukatan Civic Center. This is a joke, it's CBGB!

  • My cat's throw up spells out EXACTLY what I need to do! Tha tmu stat ookso meti me!

The last part is blurred, though.

My eye is killing me. My hair is growing too fast... it's pulling the follicles inside out.

  • Scratch that, I mean to say my eye is killing me.

  • My cat's throw up /does/ have a steam ring around it. On the floor. On the wood. A wavering halo.

  • It wasn't released in 1985 or 1987, it was released in 1984 off the album "Psychic.. Powerless.. Another Man's Sac".

  • Copyright at the end says 1987

  • this is a lot cooler than the blind eye version

  • Tripped out, fucked up shit.

Exactly what we all expect from BHS.

  • takes one to know one dude

  • Video delay. An incredible concept. Video echo

  • 1985! Wow... I love the Butthole Surfers.

  • to coin a phrase: "fkin brilliant!"

  • jesus this is amazing...anyone know the year?

  • 1985?

  • 1987
