I do not agree with your statement that 'Gay men can have sex with women to have children'. You should have perhaps said that 'some' gay men could....Because I know of many who would never consider it or be physically capable of it. Nor would they want to. It is not as black and white as that. But I am taking it out of context, I know, of what you were explaining. ToyBoySqueeze, my statement was meant to reflect human biology and as such, was 100 % correct. The testes of Gay men produce sperm, which can fertilize the female human egg, equally to the same process as the sperm produced by the testes of a heterosexual male. Whether or not a given Gay male would wish to naturally impregnate a female is a separate question.

I doubt the "gay gene" is fully 100% genetic I think... if it is a gene, it must work as other physiological variants. Meaning someone could have the gene and not develop it.

However, the presence of that gene must be fairly common among humans... since most families have at least one bisexual or homosexual member. I just think it must be rarely triggered. Than again, I'm not a scientist, I only have the habit of making my own theories on unanswered questions.

The majority of people fall in-between with a small minority at the two extremes. When census and polls indicate 2% to 3% of the populaion is "homosexual" that probably refers to the "10" group. The physiological variants you mentioned probably affect where a person falls on the scale.

I was just trying to point out that Gay men can have sex with women to produce children, but then prefer to have sex with other men. King Philip of Macedon had many male lovers, but he married and had a child, which was his duty. If we needed more population, I can have sex with a woman to make babies, but that would not change me from being homosexual and preferring sex with men.

Well it is also known that Phillip and Alexander had many female lovers as well. In fact, there is more evidence to them being heterosexual than homosexual, although they were probably bisexual.

Do not forget the United States gave the world George W. Bush for 8 years. Most of the U.S. is very conservative Protestant and Evangelical Christian and very culturally intolerant. The EU leads the world, including the U.S., in equality and human rights for everyone.

Indeed, Alexander's own father, King Philip II of Macedon, was murdered by Pausanias. Marriage and making babies was a duty to the city state, but sex between men in ancient Greece was a gift from the Gods!
