  • Ya everyone wishes they'd go back to the way they were. And in a way they did, when in 08 or 09 they hosted a series of concerts in Toronto where they played the entire set from clumsy song for song in the order of album list. I would like to see video of this and see how close to the original sound they came. It was a bit before Burn Burn and would have definitely been during a time to hold influence on it, but getting back to their band identity roots didn't really seem to much.

  • fuck man. there were members playing at it's your festival in gage park and i came when ithought they started and they ended being ready to leave.

  • Was this in 1998????????

  • @lohello567 1997.

  • Oh my gosh, what the heak happened to this band??? They have completely dissapeared off the face of the earth.......they are absolutley nothing compared to what they were, now they are just a lame pop group......and when a horse goes lame as they say, it needs shooting!! Terribly sad actually.

  • Maybe you should look up some of the Clumsy/Spiritual Machines 2010 tour videos.

  • @DGFilmsPC Thanks for that, but I had, I don't know about the recent concerts but the ones that were the first two he was singing just the same.

  • @lohello567

    i hate people like you...

this band is as good, if not, even better...

Gravity is mostly done with...Burn burn is an amazing rock opera...too bad fags like you can't appreciate good music, only that "same old shit"

  • @kennygmang Alright.........I'm hearing you........but remember, you've got to admit, you must miss the old band, I hope they come back one day......anyway, I see your point.........I just hate the mainstram plasticness they got lumped in with - Our Lady "PEACE" remember???

  • @lohello567

I don't miss the band....I'm jealous of missing them tho...

why do I say that? well...i'm born in '93...and I first heard the singles from Spiritual Machines, and Gravity (when they both came out)...but after I became a fan with "Where Are You" and some of the HIPT sutff...I listened to their old stuff.

Sure I kinda liked alot of it more than the Grav./HIPT stuff, but to call them that after Burn Burn? ya can't

  • @lohello567

Now I'm about to get all of SM as my last album to collect..and so far...Burn Burn is still my fav. (1st album tho' :P)...but i LOVE CLUMSY and i'll prob. LOVE SM. Happiness is really good, Naveed is "pretty good"...Gravity is alright for a mainstream album, and HIPT...is something I LIKE...ALOT..but prob. in the middle for me. I'm one of them that likes HIPT :P

  • @kennygmang What I'm trying to point out though is Our Lady Peace used to stand for something, and that was unique music.......then they started sounding pretty much like they were repeating themselves....when Mike Turner was in the band they never really did so........I hope he comes back, and there is no reason why Steve Mazur could'nt continue as well...

  • @lohello567

    i guess...but you know what i say?

fuck him...he's in Crash Karma...he left, so i don't care if he returns. he can, but i'll like him just like any other band member.

If Turner ever comes back tho, he should be rhyhthm (with occasional lead), because he's better at rhythm than Steve, and I think Steve is really good as ead already

also....have you not heard of Burn Burn?

it's the great OLP that people used to know...alot of great songs too!

  • @kennygmang Well.....I am guessing he left because of the direction they were taking, I know that Mike Turner probably does not fit in with the rest of the band, because he is the quieter one......but, I don't think they should him much respect as their band member.......and he did start the group, and yes Burn Burn is okay, but!! They are going to really have to put out a good album this year to make that album stick.

  • i guess...to please the old-stuff fans...

it'll please me either way as long as it isn't really terrible...and i like every album in some way, some more than others

  • @kennygmang What you don't seem to realise is that Our Lady Peace used to be a world apart from the kinds of nonsense that other people listened too in the charts, and then they became more mainstream and it really annoyed the fans of the earliear albums because they wanted to listen to something different, not the same kind of chart promoted nonsesne by record companies - and that I would say is why Mike Turner left because he is heavily inspired by Punk rock especially in his guitar playing.

  • @kennygmang Alright.........I'm hearing you........but remember, you've got to admit, you must miss the old band, I hope they come back one day......anyway, I see your point.........I just hate the mainstram plasticness they got lumped in with - Our Lady "PEACE" remember???

  • @kennygmang I love people like you!!! Hahhaha!!

  • oh I got a closer look... its him.. I just dont remember ever seeing him sans long hair and glasses

  • who the fuck is that on drums? that doesnt look like jeremy

  • This performance was fucking awesome.

  • Raine sings differently on every record. I like the way he sings on Naveed-Spiritual Machines (nasally) better than Gravity-Burn Burn (baritone) but his nasal singing changed. Naveed was the least nasally and more from the throat, Clumsy was nasally and stressed vocals at times, Happiness was the most nasally, Spiritual Machines was the least nasally of them all but he used a ton of falsetto (like Happiness) but he sang using his baritone at times on that record as well (Are you Sad, In Repair).

  • So when people say "i wish he'd go back to his old way of singing," there really was no set way he sang on every record. All were nasally with falsetto, which is what everybody (including me) love about it, but he changed his voice on every record which makes each CD unique.

  • @GuitarPlayer1409 Yeah.....................at the end of the day, its Our Lady Peace ain't it?? Its rocknroll, not a talent show!!! AMEN TO THAT!!!

  • GreasyItalianStalion, I also wonder what Raine would think seeing those old videos.

Old OLP was the best band ever.

Mike Turner and Raine Maida were brilliant then.

  • dig jeremy's ayotte kit

  • Nowadays, it's basically like they've replaced their guitarist AND their singer, with Raine's shitty new style. (Singing like some popstar idiot) I wonder if he ever looks at these videos and wonders wtf has happened to him

  • Its time for a midlife crisis Our Lady Peace - Mike Turner can be in two bands y'know!!! Steve Mazur would make a great rythum guitarist.

  • Mike Turner is the shit.

OLP was never the same after he left.

  • Wow, Raine's voice is crazy! I wish he'd start singing like this again....

  • Amazing. Love them.

  • When I say our lady peace is my favorite band, this is the our lady peace I mean.

  • Exactly dude. Every time I say I love OLP I have to make it clear that I'm not talking about their new crap. This video should suffice in explaining to people what I mean when I say I love OLP

  • absofukinlutely awesome!

    MORE!

  • Raine Maida is so hot<3

  • abit nasal Raine....but then again that's you.

  • WAS him

  • I agree with you man, it's like nails down a chalkboard!

  • Wow! Great video! This is a side of OLP that I never really got to see live. I sure do miss Mike Turner. He just added something special. I like Steve though. :)

  • Jeremy with short hair!! Haha I love this video dude. Thanks for uploading.
