It's really nice to see them put there differences in the past behind them and move on. I went to see them and Take That live and I was moved to tears. The song is like the story of the past 16 years since Robbie first left Take That.

Robbie is a very good performer but a very good singer too, if you look at other live performance you gotta learn that Robbie is VERY good. And he is a songwriter yeah. I know that Gary has a little bit more stronger voice then Robbie.. Both are very good !
@B1GB3NN If you look at 2:32 Robbie points his finger to ask Gary whether they should now do the chorus bit standing up. Robbie then gets up preparing to sing the chorus by mistake- he is facing the judges. At 2:39 Gary taps Robbie on the shoulder to get him to turn back around to sing the bridge. Robbie pulls off a a nice spin and smoothes over this. They sing the bridge then at 2:56 Gary does a move where he points to show Robbie it is now time to turn around and face the judges to sing.
@B1GB3NN ...Gary's move at 2:56 is a sweeping move with his arm; it is both instructional to Robbie but also stylised to maintain performance. It is also possible Robbie forgot to sing the final "what a shame" but this is carried purely by Barlow and is not of much consequence. In conclusion then, it looks like Gary (not Robbie) seemed to be making sure the act stayed together. I'd be interested to read your thoughts, B1GB3NN, on why you think it was Robbie who was keeping it together.Thanks
i think that move has something to do with him singing that part of the song in one breath,he always feel proud after that,dont know why though..like in paris few months ago,when they were singing shame too,take a look..
@Witchmeal Re forgot to sing the final "what a shame" - rob has always creatively played with the words + intonation on his songs (where have you been?) so he's been encouraging Gary to do the same. That was rob standing back to watch gary approvingly, couldn't u read robs face? The rest is a mate(gary) helping out a friend(rob) who has stage fear, which affects memory + voice.
@bonnb9 Hiya, thanks for your reply. If you analyse the video carefully you will see that when Gary begins to sing 'What a shame' Robbie's head is tilted downwards chin close to the neck. Then Robbie's head tilts upwards to make out that he is encouraging Gary to solo (however it wouldn't go unnoticed to a body language expert that at this moment Robbie's leg visible goes up and down in frustration and anxiety. The reason for this 'tell' may be that he forgot to sing the final 'what a shame').

Barlow can hardly hit the G while Williams can hit A# like in 'feel' (real love and the LOVE ever afer) but however robbie williams has the best voice on earth. his voice is so unique and characteristic. IN THIS ONE williams sounds a bit insecure but listen to the take that performance in 'the voice of holland'. Robbie's voice absolutely wins.

It is also possible Robbie forgot to sing the final "what a shame" but this is carried purely by Barlow and is not of much consequence. In conclusion then, it looks like Gary (not Robbie) seemed to be making sure the act stayed together. @Witchmeal Re forgot to sing the final "what a shame" - rob has always creatively played with the words + intonation on his songs (where have you been?) so he's been encouraging Gary to do the same. That was rob standing back to watch gary approvingly, couldn't u read robs face? The rest is a mate(gary) helping out a friend(rob) who has stage fear, which affects memory + voice.

@bonnb9 Hiya, thanks for your reply. If you analyse the video carefully you will see that when Gary begins to sing 'What a shame' Robbie's head is tilted downwards chin close to the neck. Then Robbie's head tilts upwards to make out that he is encouraging Gary to solo (however it wouldn't go unnoticed to a body language expert that at this moment Robbie's leg visible goes up and down in frustration and anxiety. The reason for this 'tell' may be that he forgot to sing the final 'what a shame').

@Witchmeal re comments on page 6. I'm shaking my head but still laughing. You are exhausting. I thought I analyzed things too much. At the end- Rob & Gary have had a little contest going on with this song as to who gets the last word - literallly (listen to recording + they said) I'd say it was Rob GIVING Gary the last word as indicated by the head nodding & arms outstretched. As for the leg Rob gets "strangely excited "(he said this) over things, so perhaps the leg is just that.

@bonnb9 I think it's wonderful that Gary is helping Robbie out in this way. I too suffer from stage fright and confirm that it does affect memory and voice. I enjoy analysing these videos so casual viewers and fans may enjoy the full depth of the performance and take a look inside the minds of the artists. "You can see it in [his] face its a real big place".

Get real. If u like Robs voice, fine. But he cant for ex. hit the high notes as Gary.
And it seems to be his habit to make mistakes all the time.
Listen to Barlows voice; he truly is better singer. No doubt about that.

hahaha are you kidding? Barlow can hardly hit the G while Williams can hit A# like in 'feel' (real love and the LOVE ever afer) but however robbie williams has the best voice on earth. his voice is so unique and characteristic. IN THIS ONE williams sounds a bit insecure but listen to the take that performance in 'the voice of holland'. Robbie's voice absolutely wins.

Rob maybe has unique and blahblahblaaa... voice, but that is purely the matter of taste, isnt it.
And its a pity he too often forgets lyrics or starts singing the wrong part...etc
But hey, they are still great together - because of Barlow!! ;)

@stemmu y he is now better.. just think back to robbies swing/jazz concert. he was an awesome singer but drugs, alcohol and smoking destroyed his voice ; ( robbie was a lot better than gary

@stemmu Robbie can sing much higher and clearer lots of genres of music (for example Barlow can't swing like Robbie:)) and if we're looking at the whole picture he is better singer then Gary who I respect very much!! But it's not about who's better, it's important that they're back and that they're enjoying themselves!!
