It's really an option select because the game is choosing the best option for you(block high or jump off the ground). Fuzzy guard refers to VF where if you tap down for a split second then let go you can avoid mids AND throws that happen on the same frame even though it appears as if you are crouching at the time when a mid is already out or you are standing while a throw is already out.
Better enjoy it while it lasts. From what I heard Legendary Souls mode is unbelievable cheap with the AI bosses as they always seem to register your input response and act accordingly against it. Fuzzy Guard might be useful if you hate losing over and over again to the cheap bosses.
Think of it this way. If they are fuzzy guarding the shit out of you, You now have permission to spam grabs. Thumb this up if you agree, thumb this down if you don't.

@Zetaseventeen This bug existed in Soul Calibur 2 arcade verA. Back then, it was named Fuzzy Guard and the Fuzzy Guard you know of did not exist yet. It was considered game breaking at that time and was patched out in arcade VerD. I'm sure Namco will patch this out of SC5 as well. Everyone needs to work together to make sure nothing slips through the cracks this time around.

Hey Aris, any chance you'll be doing somekind of tutorials for this game ? I actually have no idea how mix ups work in SC and i feel the way you usually explain and break down gameplay mechanics in your videos could really help.
Also check if you can cancel some low attacks into high attacks or cancel it into Critical Edge/Break Edge attacks. I honestly think they should leave it in for now, see what the community comes up with and then go from there. Some people just think shit is broken because they are mindless, uncreative drones that can't think for themselves.
@RJay12291 How will you "bait" this because the only time you will jump is when the actual low comes out. But this, unlike SSFIV, is something that just cannot stay in. You cannot take advantage of someone doing this OS, unlike SSFIV, there isn't any downside to this really.
@AeolusMN Well I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some 2 hit attacks that start low and then go into something else. So the first hit is just to force them to jump and the jump lag then gets punished by the 2nd hit. Or moves that can be canceled into another move even if there's no hit.
This is plain funny. I would assume this will get patched. Until then, I'm gonna try abusing it online and trolling people.
