I work on an ambulance and we use a pt document software called EMS charts. With this software it documents everything like you have mentioned all except dosages of prescription meds. It is super scary and I only put in the very minimum of info for documentation.

* Docs can get up to $44k - but they have to pay up front - and will be "possibly" reimbursed over a number of years. They must meet "meaningful use" criteria - or no reimbursement.

* Almost all medical offices already have EMR's in place- and aren't jumping on this new EMR bandwagon. They have to pay $30K- $40K UPFRONT and PER PROVIDER -
