  • and they call it a sport ... damee 9.5

  • Also knowed as the Mitsubishi RVR here in Canada ;)

  • Under powered equals no sale! How hard would it have been to put a de-tuned evo engine in it? Give it say 250hp then I'd consider it, hell give 200hp and it would be a contender. Stupid Mitsubishi stupid.

  • @89crix they also offer it with third row seats and a v6 230 hp.

  • This Outlander Sport has a lot going for it, love its compact size for city driving. Too bad for the underpowered engine and CVT ... I think people are still willing to pay more for gas to have more performance.

  • I'd personally buy this over all other small SUV's. You can get an all equipped model for less than 30K! Hmmm I will be looking a new car next year. This will be at the top of my list!

  • i wounder if you can put the evo engin in this..its same size.

  • I have a loaded white one and I absolutely love it. It is fast enough for city traffic, and I can pack 4 friends in without much complaint. It goes like nothing else in the snow and mud, and I get complimented on the looks all the time.

  • @mcfakris634you can always turbo it..find a tuner near you..

  • A great crossover with 4wd looking for outstanding MPG and a ton of tech, Outlander sport is the choice. The engineers that made the made the EVO what it is did their work on this car:

-lower drag coefficient than a civic and corvette

-400 lbs lighter than a base 2.4 outlander

-HIDs also project on the sides and light up 80 degrees, more than a Lexus LS (and they work well in snow and at night!)

-regenerative brakes for an extra mpg or two.

Can carry my wife and I's bikes with all wheels!

  • love the car, but hate the push-button ignition

  • I wonder if they will make a turbo version one day.

  • if I remove all the badges on the tail gate, the car is LEXUS IS200 SUV

  • sportage : 10.1, 0-60!

  • does this really get 31mpg hwy for the es , or the se 2 wd?

  • I got one and for its money it's the best buy in its class! Good space inside, sexy outside and comfy ride. Considering power it is matter of preferences! I think it's powerful enough for every day commuter, it's not sport car!

  • I purchased the Outlander Sport SE and love it; it's the best CUV you can get for the money. Having said that, there are changes that should be made. 1. Use the 2.4 engine. 2. Upgrade the speakers (they sound so 1970's) 3. Provide another interior option other than Black. If those changes are made, I will be a repeat buyer. Even its flaws, it still drove better than the Tucson and Sportage. I will look at the upcoming Mazda CX-5 and decide if I want make a trade.

  • Girlfriend just bought one a few months back, best car for your money with the most features offered. She has the AWD version with the premium sound and panoramic roof package. Sound packs a punch with Rockford Fosgate sound accompanied by a 10' sub in the trunk. Cant wait to see how it handles in the winter.

  • @southpaw7890 That's cool. I really wish I could buy this car. It looks sporty, practical, and economical. And at a great price. It sucks that they only offer the manual transmission in the base model because id love to buy the top of the line one with a manual transmission. This car is a great product made by a car company that supposedly only makes shitty cars according to many people.

  • the 2010-present Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is assembled in

    Okazaki, Aichi,Japan

    Kurashiki, Okayama, Japan,

  • Bought this car two weeks ago and I love it! such a smooth ride. Maybe it's not the fastest accelerator from standing still but it stupid to start fast and than stop at next red light . I am loving it great bang for your buck.

  • kinda reminds me of a GLK 350

  • @thecarexpert21 a lot of cars use that its not a brand new technology its been around for awhile

  • the problem with mitsubishi is that all most of there cars lack refinement and arent updated for a long time. the eclipse, endouver, galant, and even the lancer are behind times except for the outlander and this

  • @andrewerdna100 What do you mean with they lack refinement? And the Eclipse/Galant/Lancer have been updated reguarly. I dont get why people give Mitsubishi such bad rep. They make pretty decent cars, and they deserve better sales than they have. IMHO I'm in love with this car (outlander sport) looks very sporty, economical, and somewhat fun to drive

  • I don't think the Eclipse is gone cause on the website they have the 2012 unless it is the last year for it. Everyone needs a sporty coupe they should rethink and do a overhaul on it. Or they will just drop it and give us something better in the future.

  • @soyntgo4it Yes, Mitsubishi did cancel the Eclipse, SADLY. 2012 is the last year for the sporty coupe that has been making great tuner cars since the late 80s :( it sucks because it was actually a good car, but people trashtalked it to no end and gave it a lot of bad rep so now it's gone. Mitsubishi is trying to get their sales up by converting to a Hybrid and EV brand... what a shame.

  • @datpimpinboy Well thats sucky.. I had a Eclipse Spider conv and that was a great car. I guess time will tell if this company will last. I hope they have something good to replace the Eclipse or decide to keep it at a last moments notice and resign it. I think every car brand should at least have a coupe.!!!

  • Anything Buck tooth abouth that front end?

  • o yea sport badge with paddle shifts O YEA!!! wait 148hp? 0-60 in 9.5...get that fucking sport symbol outta here.

  • Wow. That's a unique feature. It uses regenerative braking to charge the battery. It's not even a hybrid!!

  • they taped this in winter and are releasing it now?

  • Regenerative breaking? Why? Just why?

Doesn't this thing have an alternator?

  • I said most of their vehicles were over priced didn't say yours. I wasn't saying anything bad I said hopefully now they are headed in the right direction.

  • love the looks of this thing

  • I bought a Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback in May. I really like it and don't understand why more aren't sold in the US (I never see them advertised). It is kind of worrisome that Mitsubishi has fallen so far the past decade - they're #16 in worldwide sales, just behind Mazda (a little over a million built in 2010). Hopefully they can get their act together. I definitely would buy an Outlander Sport if its anything nearly as good as my Lancer.

  • @Jeffredo729 So true. I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse and I dont understand why Mitsubishi doesnt make more effort to try to get their sales up. They used to have a strong line up. Lancer, Galant, Eclipse, Outlander, etc. But unexplicably they got rid of the Eclipse and were gonna get rid of the Lancer EVO, and they do this to introduce an ugly EV AKA i-Miev. Mitsubishi needs to step their game up if they wanna stay in the market. And re-introduce the Eclipse.

  • @datpimpinboy If they get rid of the Evo Mitsubishi will truly suck

  • @obscuresword Very true. I think the EVO is what's keeping Mitsubishi alive.

  • It looks like a bulldog without teeth, and sounds like automatic is a slushbox - manual transmission enthusiasts take note of this guy. (As I did.)

  • Washington State plates at 1:23?

  • Its funny that the rear end looks alot like a Lexus is250/350.

  • More like the Lancerlander Sport.

  • @RoundenBrown you mean Outlancer Sport =)

  • Mitsubishi needs to get there stuff together their sales have been down for selling vehicles so they need something quick to keep them selves a float so hopefully they are headed in the right direction. Most of their vehicles have been over priced verses their competitors .Guess we shall see what happens.

  • @soyntgo4it yeah that's true. their sales have slumped so bad that they had to get rid of the Mitsubishi Eclipse

  • @obscuresword I dont understand why they got rid of the Eclipse. One of their best selling cars.

  • @datpimpinboy because they screwed up its image. Went for being a compact sports car to a family sports sedan. Then people stopped buying them

  • @soyntgo4it Sorry my Outlander pretty well equipped was $22000, MP3 220 hp front wheel/allwheel drive. Way more room inside then any other SUV of this size. Not at all overpriced and been a super reliable vehicle. On the worst roads will go any place I have every asked of it. If you want any fact they are going in the right direction get an Outlander. I have an LS not this sport which I don't care much for just my personal choice.

  • looks good
