well, my honest response to this performance in particular, she is good with tone and sounds very good, BUT, she needs to work on the diaphragmatic breathing when she hits the highest/loudest notes a little more. She sounded a little strained when it came to that part...else she was great!

Definitely got some skills! Only thing is, she didn't do the falsetto part in the chorus. I know it's a bit hard to transition from singing with a lot of power to singing in your head voice, but I think she should try it! Keep singing ad practicing and you'll get far. Remember just because you're good now, doesn't mean you can't improve! I wish you luck~ also starting a bit early messed you up a little, but I admire how you picked it up again

Apart from the 'all' note which is being shouted rather than sung it was quite incredible, hitting those notes will come with age (muscle development) and a little more vocal training. This is a very hard song to sing live as the tempo is actually quite fast so it's hard to fill your lungs! For an 11 year old to sing this well is impressive, the muscles you use when singing are not even close to fully developed at this age so I can't imagine what she will sound like as she matures. Go Layla :)

Came over to see how Michaela did with this cover; (I had a video link sent to me for "Dream a Little Dream of Me" she covered too.)

Good strong voice, as I mentioned before but, the singing is a bit strained seeming in this one. I can appreciate that Michaela may be trying to compensate for the apparent volume of the music but, singing shouldn't need to seem like shouting (as it seemed to me @ :58 (etc.).) Even with such a (perhaps) harsh seeming criticism, I believe her best is yet to come.
