@thehawkins Earning miles from all sources had become too easy. The additional Platinum members and SWU's were probably starting to devalue the program for those who still earn those benefits by flying alone. By and large, those who had been with AAdvantage when miles were more difficult to accumulate and when most miles were still earned by flying had already reached 1m miles many times over. The original program had already rewarded the people it was designed to reward.
