  • wow what a call

  • wath a call!!!!

  • how does ivey know the other player doesn't have any diamond?. He could have just one diamond, would be enough. why he cant have a diamond?

  • would loved ivey to of done that with a 3 diamonds in his hand and he called. Guy would of felt like an idiot.

  • Lets see Dia do a great call with just AK high.

  • probably the only guy ivey respected at the table afterwards

  • And this wasn't an "unlucky bluff". It was a good bluff that got picked off by a better call. The guy probably figured (correctly) that Ivey was polarized to either the Queen of diamonds / a full boat or complete air. If he figures that Ivey is bluffing with air 30% of the time or more, then it's a good call.

  • The commentators are so stupid. Ivey would never shove there with 3 2's or a straight.

  • Is it our fault Dia is to much of a fuckin moron not raise the turn?

  • It was a good call with all those complete draws out there.........a one card flush broad, a donkey runner-runner straight, and even a weak deuce.........i guess that Dia already put Ivey on nothing on the flop and the turn until the river.........that was why he wanted to gamble if Ivey has the 1/9 Diamonds in his hands..........

  • Good call

  • CLOCK@@@PANIC@@@

    BUTTON MASHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!@@@@

  • when he called DIA had no idea what he had.. absolutely none. NONE o nada. i mean he could have had a set of 2's a full house, kk's, a diamond. anything.. fucking crazy

  • Amazing play ivey.. man

  • stupid bluffer owned, hahahaha

  • oh god what a fish call, i dont know how is that idiot dia playing with ivey, cuz he is 100% a losing player

  • terrible name for this video... it should be great call from diaz

  • @plstrom no it shouldn't

  • Granted if he was to make a decisions for all of his chips, he would've folded. But because DIA had money behind & top 2, it was an "easy" call. He really felt like he was beat and still decided to call. Wasn't even thinking about what Ivey was holding.

  • don't understand why he calls!

  • great play from Ivey, and greater call from DIA!

  • Comment removed

  • btw fast betting or stuff dont mean shit. they really dont. or scratching your balls means you are bluffing.. whoever says those things is just a moron.

  • worst call ever..

  • @Iizardkingz But other case best call :o)

  • ivey messed up on the turn. shouldn't have bet. should've showed weakness when he was weak, instead of feign strength when he was weak

  • héh_ï_sìgnëd_ùp_át_full_tilt_pökér

    _usìñg_référral_códè:_YOu600_áñd_gòt_ã_600_dóllar_bõñus

  • K's full lol

  • Phil Ivey sucks MOOSE COCKS. What an asshole bluffer!!!

  • @couragio235

ahahah your are some donk!! please continue playing poker because i make my living off idiots like you!

  • I don't see how it is an unlucky bluff. No pro would make a call with 2 pair with a probable flush on the board if he wouldn't have made that call with 1 top pair. He made a bluff and he got called down by a great read.

  • Even in this case Antonius had over 22% equity, but the king on the river was of no use to him so theAshman103 took down the largest pot of the day. Btwn Antonius started poker with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website.

  • Dia, what a bad player srsly...

  • It was so obvious he had to call. You could see on screen that Ivy had nothing.

  • @klaasdeboer yah really obvious with 4 diamonds and a possible str8 on the board...besides that he had to call for his tourny life... all really obvious huh ? no go back and grind some 4nl joker

  • @shoesize44 Dude, everybody saw it was an obvious call. Let's test it: Thumbs up if you thought: "yah, if that would have been me I would have inta-called".

  • @klaasdeboer How is it obvious? He certainly couldn't see any screen showing Ivy had nothing. Ivy is one of the best players in the game today, and with a board like that with 4 to a flush, straight draw, pair on the board for trips, even a chance for a full house, it doesn't make for an obvious call just cause you have two pair. There are so many things that board gave option to beating two pair it isn't funny, and probably 8 to 9 times out of 10 most players would get away from two pair there.

  • @mjrollins22 What are you talking about? If he would look at his bottom right (viewer bottom left) he could see his own cards (AK) AND!!!!!!! Phil Iveys' cards (Q-7). If you think about it, with Q-7 Ivey has a worse hand than AK, so he must call. I don't get why players always make all those mistakes if the cards are floating almost right in front of them!

  • @klaasdeboer ...You are joking I hope. You don't seriously believe that those guys have a screen near them that shows the hole cards while they are actually playing do you? He has no way, while playing, to know what Ivey's cards are, and with a board like that, two pair isn't a great hand.

  • @mjrollins22 :O

but that's not fair, we get to see their cards and they don't???

    live poker is rigged bingo!

  • @mjrollins22 You my good sir, are a fucking retard

  • @mjrollins22 u are getting trolled sir

  • @klaasdeboer yeah retard but Ivey and Dia has no screen to se the opponents hands jerk... its a tought decision to call there with just 2 pairs

  • @julepeypoker Ha! More people keep saying that, but you can hear the commentators (who are suprised, so it's LIVE) and they are clearly seeing the cards (you can tell by their comments they can see the cards), THEREFORE those cards are visible LIVE and Ivy and Dia can see them. Go troll somewhere else.

  • @julepeypoker i hope you do understand that he is sarcastic.

  • @julepeypoker you know he's trolling right?

  • @klaasdeboer r u an idiot? u were seeing it on tv dumbass as a matter of fact that was a bad move to call he should have folded but he went crazy and called beacuse he was running out of time

  • I was up til 4am last night playing webcam poker on pokerview. Forget these fake bot sites you guys gotta see this shit man it’s the perfect online poker man.

  • Did anyone else notice that Ivey tried to steal the hand as a last ditch effort after Dia called?, I think he was embarrassed and desperate to stay at the table, and not to spoil his reputation as a bluffer, and was hoping Dia would just muck his hand under all the pressure after Ivey fake announced he had kings full, he had a straight face when he said "kings full" but Dia showed his pair and Ivey tried to laugh it off "as a joke lol" but you see how pissed/relieved Dia was. Dirty Poker Ivey.

  • @vageta9281984 it was a joke... not dirty poker as you put it...

  • @vageta9281984 i thought it was funny

  • @vageta9281984 In tournament poker you need to reveal both cards to win a pot. So while I doubt Ivey was running an angle even IF DIA mucked (which he wouldn't) Ivey would still need to reveal the bluff AND angle shoot in order to win.

  • i have to agree with those saying dia played this hand questionably at best and got lucky. when he called the river he was beat by any diamond, any 2, Q10, AA, KK or JJ. that's a lot of bullets to dodge. i think that with AK he should have re-raised preflop

  • The players came out swinging right off the bat, and if this hand is representative for the kind of action we will see, the spectators are going to be in for a treat. Anyway i just got 50 free $ from Pokerfrik to start my poker carrier, wish me luck :PP

  • Should be a fold, he panic'd at the end and froze. Wasnt a good call... lucky call yes, good call no.

  • Patrik Antonius had a pretty bad start this year, and at one point he was down over $3,6M. Guys, is it really possible to get free 50 $ from the sites like PokerFrik?

  • Are there some other sites like PokerFrik where you can get 50 $ deposit free?

  • Those of u are saying bad call.. LMAO.. The man took the pot, and he made the right decision. I wouldn't call, but the man had guts.. Great job.

  • LOL, the look on the guy's face after calling "Kids these days!"

  • awesome!

  • Kings full! hahahahahahahaha I laughed so hard at Dia's reaction.

  • love watching ivey lose.

  • Ivey was not going all in with a flush with that kind of board.

It was a total bluff or a Full house, a Full house wanting Dia to call whit a flush.

  • ivey would do the same with AA

  • ivey probably thought if the guys got a flush its will look like hes got a full house and if hes not then it ill look like hes got a flush so the bluff might work either way. perhaps

  • Everybody is so smart here, I'm afraid to comment, ha ha :)

Poker is a game of a read, instinct if You will. Dia certainly had kinda read on Phil, that's why he took so long to call, it wasn't snap call, was it? It wasn't donk call, there was a feeling to it which made him call. Say what You want but any great player will tell You to listen to that gutsy feelings when You facing hard decisions. Period!

I personally think that Phil played this one a bit to aggressive without reading Dia!

  • i dont get how it was a bad call if he has always the best hand, pre flop to the river

  • easy call. Ivey isnt shoving there with a mid-low diamond, and with 3 high diamonds out there, you can probably limit him to the Queen or the 10. 2 cards out of the entire deck. with the way ivey played the hand, dia's biggest concern should have been a boat.

  • @BMthe12th how many WSOP bracelets you won?

  • @Harlingtonjnr3 as many as you :P

  • @BMthe12th cant even begin to tell you how dumb that comment is. keep donken off

  • @PkrLocoPlayr haha, try me. If i'm wrong, it's the only way i'll learn. Why was my comment "dumb"?

  • @BMthe12th dia has too many concerns in this hand to make the call, apart from the 2 you already - answered for yourself, (boat / flush) add the possible straight?

I find your comment dumb because you opened with "easy call"? it was def a questionable call when so many hands can beat you there. Barring that, it is was def no "easy call" as you have described. Keep punting!

  • @PkrLocoPlayr haha, you think Ivey would stick it in with the straight? Sorry buddy, but Dia made an educated call here, and after seeing all the comments here, i would be making the same call in that spot most of the time against a player as good as Ivey.

  • @BMthe12th

Hey dude, was waiting for your response, where have you been?? My comment was also related to you saying it was an "easy call", of which by the way anyone with any ounce of hold em knowledge will tell you it definitely was not!

Re: the actual play itself I offer this- "we all have our own opinions".

You go ahead make the call dude. you, Dia and any other dope making the call in that spot lose 99 times out of 100. Are we learning yet? Hehe... Happy Days.

  • @PkrLocoPlayr Lol i think when i first saw your post i figured you were some arrogant twat who didnt really care to discuss the game, and just wanted to one up people on here. Ftr, just because you post something on here, doesnt mean anyone necessarily cares. :P

At the end of the day, our opinions here do differ. For me, it may not be an EASY call, but it's the correct one if you think about it and do the math.

  • @BMthe12th

Hey BM, I got you to tone down on the "easy" bit at least lol. For me I live and breathe the game. You dont wanna meet me @ the tables either kid. Good comment re posting etc... GL @ the tabs. Regards.

  • @PkrLocoPlayr Retrospectively, it's a good call, and in that spot i imagine i'm winning at least 70% of the time. If you disagree, great. I look forward to seeing you on the felt, and we'll see who ends up with the money. :P

  • I think he just called because of the time pressure. It doesn't look like a very good call to me in that situation.

  • terrible play from dia..

  • It was an amazing call.

However, you'd be an idiot to try and make those calls without a very good read on your opponent, and he didn't have that on Ivey. He just got lucky.

  • Dia should have gone all-in on the turn and basically say to himself that if Ivey has beat, so be it. But he made the huge mistake of giving a free river card when the pot was already large enough to risk his tourney on. After the river diamond, even though Dia won the hand, it was a HORRIBLE play and call.

  • Man that's arguably such a bad call. That call works out one in a million times.

  • greatest call ive ever seenbut u poker amateurs dont understand shiit if theres 2 palyers only 4 diamonds on a board it unlikely for either of them to have a diamond its probable but unlikely

  • DONK MOVE

  • 2,5 for a call. Fair deal for Dia.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome Call!!! Dia you are great!

  • Lol i just can't believe i really got 50 $ free from PokerFrik website :D

  • @heatherhunty really?how?

  • Ziigmund won most of his money last week from Tom "durrrr" Dwan in $500/$1000 PLO (report 1, report 2). They are legends but they both started their carriers with Pokerfrik 50 $ free starting capital :)

  • The main concern for URnotINdanger2 was obviously that durrrr should not there with any of his draws, and when those were faded he got a cool $155K for his troubles. URnotINdanger2 started poker with free 50 $ from the Pokerfrik website :))

  • gutsy call....it was the right move for ivey...lol the only move to win the pot

  • guys look at 4:13, the nerve on his forehead is going wild cuz of blood pressure changes... common reaction of people who are bluffing

  • @gretzky17 could also be a sign of strength

  • dam....Must be soooo nerve wrecking to play aginst Phil Ivey....hes a beast.

  • if u look bak at the flop and turn bets from ivey it didnt really rep a set or flush draw only a poss A+...now look bak at the thinking from jamil after the k dropped,,,it made sense to call on pot odds and a gamble/hope non flush ..and thats basically end of story..2 great players full stop...poker is a fascinating game so enjoy...spread poker love...wsop ME asap/ victoryv111

  • Good play on both parts have to say.....Very good call...but on anthour day he would go broke....

  • he has position on the great champion... im from australia but these fucken idiot comentators are stupid like when durr was heads up with patrick and patrick was running hot the commentator was like hes playing so well..... WELL ITS EASY TO PLAY WELL WHEN YOUR GETTING FRICKEN DECK DELT TO YOU. TOTALLY BIESE AND STUPID COMMENTATORS.

  • how the fuck did dia call that, much respect

  • i would've never called there ;\

  • all he needed was an effing diamond...how do you even read if the guy has a diamond or not?

  • omfg such a great call!! nice call, nice read!

  • It is a horrible call.

  • @ScienceIsInteresting How was it a horrible call? Ivey is known for his aggressive play style and frequent bluffing. The guy took a gamble, and guess what buddy, it's fucking poker.

  • sick call

  • the ONLY , i say again ONLY reason why the guy called there was because that was Phil Ivey

  • OWNED kings full

  • @adamo36532 Kings full ?????

  • @1286z phil says it at the end as a joke

  • what a call :o

  • donk call...

  • CALL? HAHAHAH CRAZY CALL HAHAHAHA

  • @haroonKS What's that lassie? You can't disprove an opinion? And you're still a retard? Very interesting!

  • @haroonKS What's that lassie? You're a fucking retard? Well gosh.

  • @haroonKS What's that lassie? You're a results oriented player and it wouldn't have been a sick call if he didn't win? Okay, got it.

  • "and phil laak is going to be eliminated"

  • From my perspective, the turn bet did not make perfect sense from Ivey, for him to represent a Qd or a draw. I mean, Ivey can fire at anything, but he just as likely if not more likely would check that turn, to a made hand or a better drawing hand.

  • a stray deuce? call me blind, but as far as i can see there's a deuce of diamonds on the board.

  • @StefanBaliev ur obviously a bad poker player. he meant a deuce to have trips, which would beat AK.

  • I mean phil is either going to have air or the Q of diamonds there. It doesn't matter if dia has top two or even a pair of 3's there. He knows hes dominated or hes dominating. especially with that size bet on the river, I think its an even more difficult call if ivey makes a semi value bet on the river, since he represents a big hand there.

  • @RainiCouture2

Any poker player that comments they woulda folded LYING!

Yes I can answer your other question, my advice to a newer Texas Hold em Player player is to score some free cash from Full Tilt using bonus code ACEOFCLUBS.

If you do this, you can get double your first deposit. For example make a first time deposit of $30 to your new Full Tilt account, and they will award you an additional $30. This works up to 600 bucks! Test it out for yourself!.

  • @PhiIIvey Stop playing Phil Ivey

  • horrible call

  • my 3d was good!!!

  • i thought jqk12 was a straight lol

  • it's amazing enough that ivey knew dia didn't have a diamond, full respect

  • Perfect bluff call, either donk call or very nice read.

  • would be funny if ivey had the seven of diamonds.

  • damn what a brave call.... he woulnd believe ivey XD

  • It was a very good bet by ivey, I think he knew the other guy had a very strong ace, ace king prob. which means that he would not have the flush therefore making the other guy calling extremely difficult.

  • fuking amatures the last thing u wana do is to bulff amatures they don't know the worth of their own hands..

lvey played it like a pro have there was other pro holding Acc King ivey would have won 100% u know how amatures all ways think their hands r best

  • @iioal Jamil Dia is hardly an amateur. It was just that Ivey wasn't really representing many hands and that Ivey is more than capable of firing 3 barrels.

  • @zell10035 Right ivey was telling the story like a pro have there was a pro on the other side ivey would have won simple i don't think Dia is a pro calling with top 2 on that spot 10 out nine time u will be broke only an amateur could have made such call

  • lol at everyone hating on the call cause it was against ivey.

it was a good call. end of.

  • @craigycharles great play by Ivey but even better call by Dia

  • @craigycharles

if the guy didn't win the last tournament I would say he's a donk, but since he won the same tourney last year means he knows something

  • @craigycharles

there is no right no wrong. for me it was a bad call cause ivey played this hand perfect (dont get me wrong, i dont think he never makes mistakes, he is still a man and no machine, but he is for sure the best allrounder).

This Guy, Dia, must put him on a flush or maybe a full. It was a frustration call, i bet

  • @craigycharles not a good call you fool, if it was him raising, it would have been a good raise, but since Phil was already all in, what was the point of the call? he could have easily had a low diamond on his hand and won, retarded call

  • @craigycharles

yea, really great call, but it's also true that ivey played great

  • It was a bad call because the ONLY thing he can do is beat a bluff. Pros dont ship all in bluffs, 99% of the time. Noobs would say "Great read..." He wasnt even looking at Ivey! And by the way it was hard for him to decide... it is obvious that he was debating whether or not HIS hand was good. Not if Ivey was bluffing. THAT was why its a bad call.

  • I'm not a big fan of Phil and I think this bluff was stupid.

  • @TheSkarlander it wasnt that bad. he should only get called by a premium hand. I dont understand how this idiot calls with two pair when there are 100 hands that could beat him

  • I would give Dia the respect, but.... as you can see... Dia was only thinking about his own cards and looking at the board. He barely looked at Ivey. It was a terrible call. Most pros only SHIP with the nuts - he may be known to be bluffing, but he doesnt bluff ALL IN. Unlucky for Phil this guy wasnt good enough to lay it down.

  • yeah, he wasn't good enough to lay down the best hand, only pros get bluffed. Keep commenting poker videos on youtube please.

  • you guys should read jamil dia's poker profile. he's actually done pretty well for himself. Maybe he thought with odds of Phil bluffing on loaded board, it was actually +EV to call?

  • lol what are the commentators talking about Ivey possibly having a strait or trips - as if Ivey would ship it for value with anything less than a boat here. Dia has to know he can only beat a bluff...

  • He didnt have a read obviously. He gambled.

  • I dont understand the guys saying its a bad call . Im sure that many of you wouldn't have the balls to make such a call in this case .

He took his chance thinking that Phil Ivey was bluffing ( isnt he known to be good at doing this ? ) and his instinct was right . So show a little respect for this awesome read .

  • hahah yea kid that was a horrible call 2 of dimonds wins

if there wasnt 10 sec i dont think hes calling there that guy made a reall looose call

  • some of the best have failed at getting a read on Ivey. My guess is this dude was gambling HARD. I mean wow! what a call! Maybe he was like "Ivey likes to bluff hard on loaded boards, and I'll just call dammit," but prob just some dude that can't let go of 2 pair

  • GREAT READ =] LOL

  • What a horrific call. He simply couuldnt lay it down any diamond and he would have been gone which was quite likely

  • the fuck???? why did the dumbfuck call...

  • well maby a good read but i dont think so... it was a bad call..

  • What the hell? It does not matter what he would do, but what he actually DID. Leave the IF's aside.

  • OMGGGG..how da fk did he call that..ffs..lucky kunt

  • it was bad idea to simulate flush so agressive while fullhouse is possible

  • lucky call...

  • I've heard Mike Caro talk about the 'call reflex,' explaining that the thrill of poker dictates that players have a predisposition to calling.

If this theory has any weight to it, the tournament director's actions seem to have created an unfair disadvantage for Ivey's play.

I wonder if Dia would have called if he didn't have the director's countdown acting as a catalyst for his call reflex.

  • Ivey is a genius...

  • lol. no

  • lol. yes

  • Well, Ivey either had to have near nuts or nothing there. His range was polarized.

He wouldn't do that with a low diamond, he would just be happy to check it down.

Also, there was a possible FH which even further makes it less likely that Ivey would go all-in it with a low flush.

Not sure if Dia considered that though, maybe it was just one of those "OMG SO MUCH MONEY IN THE POT I HAVE TO CALL WITH MY 2 PAIR" calls
