Placido is so beautiful in this part of the opera and i like when he says "Nel l'occhio tuo profondo io leggo il mio destin,tutti i tesor del mondo ha il tuo labbro divin" because he says this in a very romantic way. Placido is the best tenor and Renata has a large extension vocal... In a word...they're the BEST! and superb interpretation.
Domingo and Scotto are timeless!!! I watched this performance on the TV, and it seems like yesterday. By the way, Domingo is wonderful as a person, so simple, no star allures!!!
Wow. Pretty racy. I prefer Callas, but she's doing a solid job. Her high notes are spot on. Great chemistry. Placido is so fine.
