@nfguler It was a cycle of violence by the second Crusade, and later crusades were pitifully inept in their function, for one there was the Childrens Crusade (they all got sold into slavery) and the last crusade, if I remember correctly the fourth one, just pillaged Constantinople before going home.

So, yeah, thing's weren't so pretty, it was a very ugly war.

in the beginning of the song is kurdish which an kurdish group in turkey called kardes turkuler. they sing in couple of the songs from this album.. and they are really doing such a great music.

@Stardave86 Dont mix things....Christians have nothing to do with Crusades, the Crusaders were ordered by Pope to go to the Holy Lands. Chirstians until today are separated from Catholics. And as an example .... how can Crusaders be Christians ....when in the last 2 Crusades , they under sieged and captured Constantinople the capital of Christians .. instead of Jerusalem ?

@Ulquiorra465 : You mean the Fourth Crusade? That's when Latin Crusaders captured Constantinople, and is considered one of the final splits between the Western Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox churches.

It's called denominations. They have feuds/differences, and can conflict over them.

The same can be said for Christianity as a whole and Islam; they are both Abrahamic religions, but have fought nonetheless.

And those that were ruthless killers usually just used the pope and religion as an excuse to get themselves filthy rich by plundering.

This gives me a chill up my spine too. It is so beautifully composed and orchestrated much like Lord of The Rings. Saladin was merciful but the crusaders weren't because of the pope. Many innocent lives ended in that period of time. So they were forced to offer terms for Salahuddin's army was unstoppable especially now that the crusaders made a stupid choice of going into the desert because of Guy DeLesignione
